I switched from sprint to metro pcs, and it was heaven. Affordable case, half priced phone, cut my bill in half, and was serviced by Christian Ramos. He was super professional. I was stunned. I felt satisfied with the entire process

c.p.s.?? callous poorly educated salespeople What a side show of lazy bumbling kids behind the counters, with no concept of customer service nor professionalism. 8 sales people available but only 3 would attend to clients. No, the others weren’t on break. I asked. They were not nice, knowledgeable or friendly. They didn’t want to answer questions, they didn’t want to get phones, they didn’t want to do anything. I was sent there by 611– corporate manager to exchange a phone, they(harlem staff) didn’t know anything. Not acceptable for any service or establishment dealing with the public. The staff members were so agitated & misreble stating more than once in front of customers that they wanted to leave, go home, they wanted day to be over. I told the 3rd person to say that in front of me — I didnt want to be there either. I just wanted him to do his job!

If you use Citibank, MetroPCS is not your friend! I had the amount of the phone taken out monthly from my checking account. They took the money out with no problem. Then the day after my phone bill was due, the phone would cut off for nonpayment. The purple shirts would say, «My bad!» and fix it. Then it happens next month, and after, and after. That is when they dropped the smart bomb on me! You haven’t been paying your bill! We have no record of you paying anything since September… Deep inside my psyche, I heard my momma say, as she was taking off her earrings, «Oh no, Imma cut you, bitych. «But I smiled. Even chuckled… and had to go over to Citibank to pull up five months of bank statements proving that I paid my bill. As the story goes, swiping one’s debit card(from Citibank) does not ‘register’ in their system. Paying online using Citibank does not ‘register’ in their system. Why are their phones worth all that? It is not just because of the cheap service. Mainly, it is because alot of their phones work well as modems for laptops. Not just the Blackberry. $ 40.00 for 3G modem, isn’t bad… To beat the headache, get their pre-paid debit card. It is always cool to have a backup phone/modem.

The store in itself is a little dingy, and the«manager(?)» who helps you when you first walk in is a little creepy and overbearing. The staff seems noticeably irritated, but I think I would be too if I had some crazy, ghetto ass mofos yelling at me all day about a $ 5 extra fee. «C’mon son! FIVEDOLLAS?! You’re killin’ me man!» No joke. It’s cheap wireless service so it attracts a certain type of clientele. The staff is probably berated and accosted daily, if not hourly. They have a Metro PCS music video station playing on a flat screen to keep waiters occupied, this morning playing the best of Akon. They do have an efficient wait-on system, sort of like when you go to the deli. Take a number, have a seat and wait until they call you. It’s good in a sense because I don’t think the employees come out from behind their counter, so you don’t have a million people asking you if you need help. They’re there, and you’ll get to talk to someone when it’s your turn. I’m sure this system has eradicated the possibility of any ridiculous fights that I’ve seen go on inside other places. All in all, a cheap wireless store with people in there to answer your questions and get you signed up if you want to. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was that Metro PCS is a little tricky: they say $ 40/month for unlimited talk, text and web — but if you want a blackberry, you need to pay $ 60/month! Bait and swtich. Not cool.
