There were open during the snow blizzard & suggested a medium prices bottle of wine. And let us just sit to enjoy our wine. We didn’t get food but their pasta looked delicious. They played italian music, the host & chef were singing to their favorite songs. It’s a fun & very casual atmosphere. The service is excellent!!!

This is a great new place. The food, wine, coffee everything is amazing. Such a cool vibe and fabulous staff. This place is authentic Italian. Make sure you get the blonde girl as a server. Was hoping to get her number.

I rarely write negative reviews(just look at my other reviews). I liked the layout of this place, the location, and the whole idea(wine, coffee, casual while being good quality). The service was confusing — I could not tell if we were supposed to order from the waitress or just go to the counter. When I walked in, the waitress said either way was OK(unusual, but fine), but then she ignored us for ten minutes, which made that choice simple — we just ordered by going to the counter. I don’t think she did it on purpose. Maybe she was supposed to wait for us to wave to her. What bothered me is that after I ordered two glasses of wine($ 13 each) from the counter & took them to the table, immediately, as I went to take the first sip, I noticed a fly lying on top of the wine, right in the center & on the surface, dead. I went to give it back, and showed it to the guy who served it to us, behind the counter. He made a face and said it was not there when he gave it to me. Logically, that implies that it flew into my glass in the thirty seconds it took me to take the wine to my table. I’m not sure exactly how relevant that is. In any case, he did not want to give me another glass. He kind of just stood there with an annoyed look on his face. I apologized(should I have to do that?!) — I mean I felt bad that the wine would go to waste — but I think it’s pretty standard for him to apologize and give me another glass. In any case, he did finally replace the wine, and kept the frown on his face the entire time. The replacement glass used the remainder of the bottle, and was not a full serving but about 80% of the original portion(which was not generous), but then he motioned for me to take the wine. I took it, and didn’t make a further fuss. Besides the bad attitude & service it was a nice place, though the acoustics were not good — even though there were not a lot of people, it was hard for me to hear my friend.

I came here twice before in the past and the atmosphere is very vibrant, calm, and cute. The guys that run the place are very polite, helpful, and love what they do. The food and wine is amazing. It’s great to experience this charming place.

We loved Mi Garba! Our first visit was by chance. As we were 8 people without a reservation we weren’t sure what to expect, but the service was friendly and charming, the food was tasty and seems authentic, although I have not spent much time in Tuscany. A week later we had the occasion to visit again, as we were looking for a place for light food for a group of friend. And once again we had a great experience. The wine selection is not overwhelming, but those that I have had occasion to taste were very good. A very demanding guest might object that the servers didn’t remember who ordered what, but for me, the ambiance and food more than earned Mi Garba the fifth star :-)

An oasis among the rubble of grungy, dried out chain cafes, delis and bars. This café/wine bar welcomes with open, bright and clean space accented with tall glass vases of fresh flowers — I love such attention to detail. Best of all, the coffee is delicious! The latte was smooth and just really well made. It looked to be café during the day and wine bar at night(they do serve food). Looking at the selection, I will definitely come back on a night with some friends for drinks. Sometimes, you just randomly walk into a place and just get a positive, happy vibe. What a find~ I guess that’s the great thing about NYC. Love it.

I just took out a cappuccino here. I found it weak. Perhaps they shouldn’t advertise coffee with their wine and cheese. If you’re looking for a quick pick me up, just hit the Think Coffee next store. 15% discount to NYU students and staff.

came here on a date. ordered the pesto lasagna. the pasta was soggy and tasted like it was microwaved(which it is — all of the food is made in italy and shipped here to be reheated and served). our waiter was awesome though, just wish the food was better.

The best seafood risotto I’ve ever had. The appetizer bread is also amazing. I already recommended this place to some of my friends and they all loved it. Whenever I don’t know what I want to eat, I end up coming here and get risotto because it always tastes perfect. Also it’s very reasonable. I LOVETHISPLACE. Service, atmosphere, food, everything is good. This place made me wanna visit Italy.

Loved this place! They had a special of 6 pieces of crostini plus mushroom tagliatelle for lunch for just $ 10. The crostini were fantastic– each had a different topping. My favorites were the cheese sauce, mushroom, and bell peppers with anchovies but they were all good– the others were artichokes and tuna, sun dried tomato, and olive tapenade. Even though this would seem heavy with the bread and such, it was actually just right. The bread was delicious and complemented the toppings really well. I highly recommend ordering this– it’s on their regular menu as an appetizer as well. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was excellent also. I was a little apprehensive of ordering this as I kind of wanted to try one of the risottos or one of the other pastas but I couldn’t resist getting the special. It was fantastic though, with perfectly cooked pasta in a pretty rich mushroom sauce. It would have been too heavy I think normally but the lunch portion was just the right size and so it was perfect. They have a couple of Italian wines($ 6 each) as well as a decent wine selection(glasses start at $ 12). They also have a bunch of coffee and tea options and wi-fi. I asked if the pasta was made in house and was told that everything was imported from Tuscany. Honestly, it tasted super fresh to me and was extremely delicious so I did not care where it was made. This was an awesome find near Union Square and although there are many options in this area, I could see myself stopping by again.

Everyone needs to add this to their list of coffee shops to visit before you die – Mi Garba on 4th avenue. It’s an Italian coffee/wine bar(which already sounds amazing); they made my iced espresso in a shaker and then served it to me in a wine glass – I’ve never had coffee in a wine glass ever in my life. And with student discount, only $ 2.78. And then the manager is just the sweetest. Their wifi wasn’t working, so he was going to let me use his phone’s data as a hotspot, but it wouldn’t work. Still, he spent 20 minutes sitting next to me and trying to help me get it to connect. He’s Italian, so he was talking to me half in English and half in Italian(as if I could understand anything other than«si»). In the end it wouldn’t work, so I decided to use my own phone as a hotspot, but I didn’t want my phone to die, so he let me use his charger. Then he offered me another coffee on the house, which I didn’t accept because I want to sleep tonight lol, so he brought me water. And just now he randomly came out and brought me cheese and warm bread and told me to enjoy it because it’s from Tuscanny. LOL. Seriously. No better place than here.

I really liked this place and actually bumped into it by accident while walking. It has a really nice, chic, and chill atmosphere. It s a nice place to grab a couple glasses of wines to taste and have some food pairing. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful with the menu. There’s a 15% student discount and if you live in the area they give you a generous coupon for next time which is really nice! I will be coming back soon!

This place!!! I am absolutely so happy and pleased by how nice the owner and person at the counter are! Fellow Italians originally from Prato! Lunch specials only 10 $ for now!!! Absolutely a must for those misplaced Italians missing some real Italian food in their lives, but also for Those who would just like to try a REAL taste of Italian Tuscan food! The farro soup is really amazing! One of my absolute new favorite places, no doubts.

I ordered an Italian coffee to go for $ 3.80. The place looks really nice and I assumed I’d be getting some sort of artisanal drink. Instead, I got a luke warm coffee I watched them make with a Nespresso pod machine served to me in a styrofoam cup. I’m seriously astounded that they would have the nerve to serve instant pod coffee. Serious disgrace for any type of coffee shop, especially one charging those prices.

Delicious and fresh homemade Italian comfort food! Fun and warm atmosphere complimented by the casual yet sophisticated design of the restaurant. The staff is helpful, kind, and wonderfully friendly. Over two hours later I’m still extremely satisfied with how good my meal was! I highly recommend the experience.
