Talk about personal friendly service. Compared to my other experiences at shoe stores with my hard to fit feet, these guys are not only nice, but it makes me feel good to support a local business not a giant corporate chain. ill go back every time,

1 star due to the incredibly rude staff. I traveled here to check out a certain brand of shoes. Doors open, no problem. Looking around for 10 minutes. After choosing a shoe I went to ask for a size and was rudely told that the store was closed. I informed them I came due to their website and the hours listed. They argued no such thing was on their website. I rarely get rude and feel my Glaswegian side come out, but the snappiness of the 2 men in this store was disappointing. I won’t go back. Later in the evening, a good 4 hrs later, I passed by again on my way elsewhere and the store’s lights were still on indicating they were open. Side note: I will be complaining to the brand whose site told me this was a retailer, especially due to the comments I overheard during my 10 minutes in the store. After thinking them over and realizing my fiancé had more insight than I, there was clearly some shady things going on in the store. Good selection of comfort leather shoes, but I am sorry, do not get ghetto rude on customers. Not good… I don’t like the person it makes me become and you shouldn’t be able to have a store in this area when plenty of kinder people are willing to take your place… A rant… be kind. this was a horrible experience.

Before leaving on a trip to Hawaii the week before Memorial Day, I went to this place to get a pair of sandals, and came out with the«Born» brand DAXTON style sandals. Staff were incredibly courteous, helpful and made suggestion. Happy to revisit this place as I want to get the same pair of sandals in a different color. Highly recommended!!!

The best part about this store isn’t the fantastic service or the extensive knowledge of the employees; it’s the stock. I’ve experienced, for the very first time, someone asking me if I’d prefer to wear the same brand in women’s styles rather than my size in men’s shoes. It’s great, and the prices are pretty reasonable.

I love this store! I have some feet problems, and living in NYC definitely doesn’t help. Enter Mindboggler– a place with shoes that are good for my feet and really cute! The selection is also pretty good, at least for women’s Danskos and other similar brands; Privo(by Clark), Frye, Indigo etc. Not to mention the owner, who is absolutely fantastic. He is obviously trying to keep his business profitable and make sales(and for good reason, he’s not exactly in the cheapest zip code), but he is knowledgeable, very helpful, and will bend over backwards to make sure you’re happy and get what you want. I’m so glad I found this place and will be coming back for years to come.

i just bought a pair of frye harness boots in the shorter model and i could not be more happy. the store had closed once we were already inside and trying stuff on but the guy(i didn’t get his name) told us to take our time and he’d take care of us. i couldn’t decide between the tall or the short boots and the man gave me his honest opinion and didn’t try to get me to buy the more expensive taller boots. he was totally patient and amazing and i’m in love with this store now and that man was just too phenomenal of a sales person.

A huge selection of leather jackets. Very helpful staff that really knows their inventory. I found a jacket I liked that was slightly too big, and this guy remembered seeing the same one but a slightly different cut(handmade jackets, you know), which fit perfectly. A great place.

I am definitely a fan of Mind Boggler. So glad I was recommended this place because I would have never walked in off the street(although they have a nice window display that will draw people in). Once you get past the leather jackets, in the back of the store there is a GREAT selection of shoes, especially hush puppies, Bass, Clark’s, and other designers that you don’t see often. The sales clerk was great– he gave me about 6 different pairs I was interested in, all in two sizes, and gave me honest opinions about what he thought. While the Clark’s were nearly twice as expensive as the Sketchers(yes, I said it. never thought I would buy a pair but they are comfortable, really good looking, and very durable) he told me that the Sketchers had a better color, better sueded finish, and seemed to fit me better. I ended up buying a pair of Bass taupe wingtips JUST because the salesperson was so honest that I felt he should be rewarded, not to mention they were so badass. There is a great selection of work boots, fall boots(the j crew kind that are like 1.4 or 1.2 boots and more stylish than useful), as well as dress shoes for nearly every occasion. I will definitely be back here in the future because the prices are right, most shoes are on sale, and the salesperson was honest with me and very helpful.

I love this place! I’ve been a loyal and happy customer here for a few years now — in fact I rarely buy shoes anywhere else now. After a year of walking around this city in heels and developing some issues with my feet as a result, I’ve needed to find more«sensible» shoes that are kind to my feet without looking like Frankenstein orthopedics. This place manages to carry REALLY good quality shoes that are still totally cute and fashionable. Plus the service here is fantastic. They don’t have a huge selection of shoes compared to some other places, but the quality of the shoes /brands is awesome(Dansko, Earth, Born, etc.), and the salesman is amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable about every shoe they have and he is incredibly helpful without ever being pushy or overbearing. When I’ve had a concern about a shoe or a feature on the shoe, he is honest with me. When he tells me a shoe will or will not stretch out, he has always been right! Once I was concerned about some sandal straps being a tad tight… he assured me they would stretch out but also stretched them a bit there at the store to help it along. It helped, but they were still a tad tight and I was a little worried. He promised if they didn’t stretch out on their own that I could bring them back and he would stretch them a bit more. Deal. Turns out he was right, they stretched out on their own and adjusted to my feet perfectly, and I never had to bring them back in at all… but I appreciated that he wanted to make sure I was happy with them. You won’t find any cheap, trendy, flashy, bad-for-your-feet shoes here! You will find great quality, and a good selection that is constantly updated — and you’ll get the kind of personal attention you won’t get in a bigger store. He’ll make sure you get the right shoe and the right fit. They also have leather jackets, but I haven’t ventured into that territory yet — maybe in spring. :)

The stars are for the sales guy’s patience while I tried on and walked around in several different pairs of boots. The absence of three stars is because of the following: – I was returning a pair of shoes, but was not permitted to use my 17%-off text-messaged coupon(they offer a text-messaged coupon through , but this is not obviously promoted) along with the credit for my return. They said I could not«combine two things.» That did not make sense, as I was not combining two promotions but simply making a return. Also, the boots I was buying were far more expensive than what I was returning. – In this time of sales everywhere, nothing I looked at in the store was discounted; – Their prices were on the higher side; – I felt like my sales guy was a little aggressive, praising the quality of Frye boots, for instance, which, frankly, now have flimsy hardware and are not of the same quality they used to be. That sums it up.
