There is a small space located between two major city boulevards, across from a major hospital and adjacent to a established university. The parks department saw this and probably said, «Great scott! What a charming location for a park!» it is surprising that a hospital as large as New York Presbyterian has so little space for employees and visitors to sit and relax. So we venture outside on days that weather permits and walk across the street to Mitchell Square. There are often laughing children playing on the exposed rocks and running around the flatter areas kicking soccer balls. Benches line the entire walkway and are often resting places for the exhausted parents of the yelling children or people on break. I personally enjoy reading there. You can hear that you’re in a busy city but it all sort of falls away. So go. Park your tush and enjoy your lunch hour in the sun.
