Mou Chuanjing

I went to Doctor Mou while visiting New York City for 10 days. My girlfriend, a long time and satisfied patient of Dr. Mou and resident on the East Side, insisted I go see him. My left foot and shoulder were exacerbated by my trip and aggravated by carrying heavy luggage. When I showed up I was in severe pain, was limping and my shoulder felt like the nerves were on fire. I was upset that the pain would ruin the time I wished to spend with my girlfriend.
My problems were numerous and of course Dr. Mou gave me a list of the things he would treat after he checked my pulse and chi. I didn’t tell Dr. Mou about any of the previous problems I had like the Hepatitis C which I had been treated and cured through conventional means. The pharmaceuticals I took were also known to be harsh on the kidneys and Dr. Mou picked that up as well. He also knew that I was having problems with constipation and my large intestine. I had a total of 4 treatments from Dr. Mou and immediately after each treatment I felt so much better. After the first treatment I felt tremendous relief and by the final treatment I felt 100% normal again. I also had a mental clarity and a feeling of well being not felt by me since I was young. I’m 49 yrs. of age.
My first visit cost me 170.00 dollars since I was a new patient as the sessions are 160.00 dollars after the first session. Dr. Mou charged me three times for herbs he applied to the affected areas. You don’t have to get the herbs but they really help. I know this because I elected to get them.
One person here gave an opinion that the treatment is painful and that Dr. Mou’s eyesight probably isn’t good. I am not about to cast dispersions on that reviewer, perhaps he or she has a big fear of needles or a low threshold for pain. Speaking from my personal experience after 4 visits I can honestly tell you that I didn’t feel any of the needles as Dr. Mou inserted them in me. And Dr. Mou always asks ‚“it’s okay?” in his broken english. I never felt pain from Dr. Mou’s treatment but I did on occasion feel some discomfort. However, I will say that by the forth visit some of the spots were a bit more tender because the same spot was having needles put in it again. Any discomfort lasted for only a few seconds and was no more then have one’s blood drawn. There were a few times when my arm or leg twitched when he inserted a needle but that was because it was the problematic area he was treating and after a second or two it was just fine.
On the whole, I felt incredible after seeing Dr. Mou, no more pain and just incredibly relaxed. I paid an additional cost for some tea Dr. Mou mixed together for me. He didn’t solicit me to buy the tea, I actually asked him after the prompting of my girlfriend. He told me if I wanted more herbs to just call him and he would mail some more. I really got the feeling that Dr. Mou really cared about my well being and he gave me advice on cleaning up some bad habits that weren’t doing me any good. I hated to admit it to myself, my bad habits and all, but he made see how these things were wreaking havoc in ways I never thought about. I’m going back to NYC sometime soon to see Dr. Mou and have him work on a few more issues.
The treatment takes and one and a half to two hours, so you’ll need to schedule accordingly. If you are enduring pain like I was then let me tell you, little needles are negligible compared with daily pain that was wearing my spirit down. My primary physician is a good doctor –rated one of the best in Dallas– and I love her but she had no idea how to cure my problems. I’m sure I could have paid a lot of money to a specialist but I know I would have only gotten a piecemeal approach or only moderate relief from my suffering at best. Dr. Mou healed me in four days with only needles, cupping and moxibustion. That still blows my mind!
If you are thinking about seeing Dr. Mou, my advice is don’t hesitate. He’ll take your pulse and tell you what you need without charge. You’ll be surprised what he’ll know about your habits but remember, Dr. Mou has seen it all, so don’t be ashamed either.
Don’t live with pain or disease when it can be healed or treated. This man is a genius. Don’t mistake his lack of English language skills for ignorance. Dr. Mou is a quiet, friendly, wise and adorable old man. You can bet I’ll be seeing him again and again. I’m so glad my girlfriend introduced me to the wizard of Chatham Square as I am happy and healthy now.

I am a big fan, but I walked into this somewhat unprepared and here are things I wish people told me:
1) after your first visit Dr. Mou wants you to come back tomorrow. Then he wants you to come back tomorrow again. Every day pretty much or «Three to five times» and if you cant come back tomorrow you must repeat firmly a few times no that you are not coming tomorrow.
2) Some of your Sessions are nearly $ 200 — Cash only, go to the ATM first,
3) You must allocate 2 hours at least for the appointment.
4) There may be small bandages with saffron colored herbs loosely taped to your body at the end (which will fall off looking like soiled hamster diapers) so dont wear fancy clothes or go on a nice date right afterwards.
5) Be prepared to say «YES IT HURTS» a few hundred times.
Now relax and enjoy good health! I think Dr. Mou is wonderfully gifted.
