I came at around 3PM on a weekday and there was no wait. Service was fast and efficient. The falafel here is delicious; hot, fresh, and well-seasoned! I prefer the falafel sandwich here to Mamoun’s — the sandwich is really stuffed full of falafel, and fresh veggies. Their pita is soft and chewy, which helps the sandwich stay together as you eat it(as opposed to many other falafel sandwiches which fall apart and explode after the first few bites). Definitely a quick and satisfying lunch I’d be happy to grab anytime I’m in the area.

Great tasting falafel and in an area where the there aren’t enough good restaurants. Restaurant is clean and well maintained and the food tastes fresh(which are most of the major conditions you look for when getting food). The real kicker is that the owner is both involved and very caring. I was waiting for my falafel no longer than maybe 2 minutes and she came to me with a falafel ball and said«you look hungry, eat this». I was hungry(i’m sure you could read it on my face) and I appreciate that she cared enough to give a little when she didn’t need to. Drop by here anytime you’re near 1st and 14th.

Some of the best felafel ever! For you carnivores out there, the lamb shish kabob is superb. I have found them to be friendly, fast, and while not cheap, you don’t get food this good for«cheap». Great harissa and they don’t skimp on the excellent tahini. Eat in, take out, or delivery, Murray’s is the place for felafel.

Ordered delivery. Never came. Called and they said it was delivered and that someone had signed for it. They said they would check and call me back. Never called back. No refund. No offer to send another delivery.

I am ready to crown M’s as the new king of falafel in the Big Apple! When I first got to NYC I too easily gave a joint in SoHo this honor, since then I have become enlightened. Mamoun’s is pretty good but I prefer MURRRAYyy! And no they aren’t owned by an Irish family! They know how to make great falafel that isn’t too oily but full or taste. You got to hit up their falafel sandwiches, which they pack out with so many falafel balls you can’t help but smile! The rest of their dishes are average and a little pricier, but truly falafel is the way to go here. I’d gladly say 4.5 rounded up!

Small spot but the service was great and the place had a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. My friend and I each had the combo platter which comes with falafel balls, hummus, cabbage, lettuce and 3 sides of your choice. Everything was delicious. Especially recommend the baba ganoush!

Super long wait. Takes too long to get food. I ordered a quick kebab sandwich and it took 15 minutes! Way over priced Guy at register was unfriendly Waitress running around was nice! The only thing good about this place is the location.

Too bland for my taste. the chicken shawarma was $ 9.75 with tax. i dont know if i would go back. no spices, way too bland. without the green and white sauce, this would have tasted bad.(like cardboard). The falafel they gave us to taste while in line was good, but it was undercooked.

Falafel on point! Amazing crunch with a soft and fluffy center. Tastes fresh and amazing. Salads are crunchy, fresh and plentiful. Turkish sauce is lovely and tomatoey with hints of onion and garlic. Spicy green sauce gives a wonderful kick. Tahini is nice, I’m not a fan usually, so I’m pleased with that. Hummus needs more lemon I think, a bit bland. Pita was fresh and warm. Delivery super fast and everything arrived hot and didn’t shift in the bags. Some of the best falafel I have had in quite a long time!

I was really looking forward to this place and desperately wanted it to impress but in the end I felt it was just ok with nothing to write home about. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fresh and tasty but as one of my favourite dishes it’s hard to stack up against when compared with falafel in Cairo, or Bansktown(bro!). The pita was fresh but the salad was bleh, and the falafels were a bit stodgy. I walked away unimpressed. That being said, it’s just around the corner from my house so will probably quickly become a late night favourite.

Wow… This might be it… The best falafel I’ve had in my life? I dare to say yes. I seem to have been on a falafel kick lately and this place just won the ultimate prize and likely ruined any future falafel experience I’ll have anywhere else. This small mom and pop type restaurant has it figured out. From the friendly service to the fact that they give you a piece of falafel and green sauce to enjoy as soon as you sit down. This gives you a taste of the treat that you’ll soon be in for. I got a falafel sandwich and a side of grilled vegetables. I really can’t put into words how good this falafel is. Fried perfectly, season perfectly and composed perfectly. This is what falafel is supposed to taste like. And not only is it perfect, but they are big and you are given six or seven pieces within the sandwich. Along with the usual lettuce and tomatoes that come in the sandwich, this is heaven on earth. The green sauce is also amazing and adding it to the falafel only adds to this amazing dish. The grilled vegetables are delicious and unique. They are covered in middle eastern spices, a dry rub of some sort. It almost has a smokey taste to it which makes it the perfect addition to a falafel meal. It was delicious. There’s a very laid back vibe about the place. People eat at a leisurely pace while just talking. There’s not the feeling that someone is rushing you out or that you’ve overstayed your welcome. It’s a home style place with amazing food that really brings everything home. Dam near perfect… If you love falafel, you should get here immediately.

Came here on a sunday night with a friend. There were plenty of tables open and we were seated right away by a very enthusiastic waitress! She brought over sample falafels for us to try while looking over our menus and they were delicious! I ordered the falafel sandwich in a pita and he got the shwarma in a wrap. They both come with salad and cabbage. The food was priced really well and the portions were big! The waitress was very sweet and quick! Would definitely come back here again!

Was looking for a kosher food, that place was the closest by. I tried the chicken shish kabab in gyro and it was wow. Enjoyed every bite. Definitely recommend! Bön appétit.

Had the Falafel and the Chicken Gyro. The Falafel was very nice. Crunchy, full of flavour. The veggies were fresh. The chicken gyro was a bit if a disappointment. The chicken lacked flavour. Would definitely visit again for the Falafel. Very nice quantities.

Holy moly this is good falafel. I came here for a quick lunch and I didn’t realize how cute and nice the restaurant is. I got the classic falafel sandwich which was hot fresh and full of flavor. The falafel was crunchy but not hard and were hot and delicate. Combine those balls with the different sauces(white sauce and hot sauce) you’ve got one hell of a sandwich. The lunch was a little more expensive than I anticipated($ 8 including tip) but it was a treat. They also have take out so you can skip the tip ;) P. S. They give you a falafel to munch on as you wait for your food which was adorable. I love free treats :)

Murray’s is an institution and one of the best around for Israeli cuisine. It’s a family run place by local legend by none other than… you guessed it. Murray. The service is super friendly and everyone makes you feel like family. I like the get a meat platter with various Schmears on the side. The hummus and pita they have is excellent. Of course the ultimate is the falafel balls. It’s a family recipe and they’re light, and the best I’ve ever had. Maybe polish it off with a homemade Limonata drink and you’ll be all set.

Food was definitely great. Waitress was awesome. Unfortunately I got the meat moroccan cigars and only discovered after consuming it. I wrote them and sent foto on fb but the person who replied, although he did say to bring it up when I come back because they want us to be 100% satisfied, was unbelievably unfriendly in his reply. The person who replied to my email was not only unapologetic, also tried to point out a response he said they sent but actually did not address my question. I love the food but I won’t be coming back because I don’t like how I was treated wave though I’ve been going there every month. Good food isn’t enough because service Counts too .i accidentally ate meat which I abhor and isn’t my fault, but instead of getting an apology I get a sarcastic message instead. There are other good falafel places in nyc where I know I’ll be given more respect as a regular.

Came here to grab a quick bite to eat and was drawn in by the adorable children’s pictures that say«falafels rock» why yes, yes they do! The waiter was very friendly and although I knew what I wanted, he graciously offered the guy sitting next to me a free sample before he even sat down. Now that’s what I call good customer service… surprising and delighting :) I’ve been trying to go paleo(Just kidding!) no but really watching my carb intake so I went plain falafel over a bed of lettuce with chopped tomato salad instead of a pita. Hot sauce was on par, tahini sauce on the table, can’t go wrong! I’d like to try the combo platter or shawarma next time… which I could foresee as being a good snack post bars. Happy New Year!
