Without question our favorite home accessories store in New York. An extremely well edited collection of unique, vintage and new. Plus, a really great price range from $ 50 items to thousands of dollars.

Nest always has unique items that seem like they could fit into a wide range of décor without looking too generic. I like to take a look every once in a while because there is always something new and different. Whether buying or looking, they always take the time to answer your questions or to just chat it up with you.

Some really nice accoutrements in this tiny shop — one of those places you glance in the window as you hurry past late for some appointment, and make a note that you gotta come back and check it out. They have some really cool bugs set in resin that make great gifts, and lots of decorative coasters — you know, the kind you don’t actually put glasses on because the condensation makes them stick to the bottom then clatter to the floor … WHATISGOINGON with these supposed coaster designers? I use to imagine the store was owned by a gay guy with impeccable taste who didn’t suffer plebs gladly, and had visions of getting the SNL Jeffery treatment, but I needn’t have worried — it’s owned by an ‘tude-free, very friendly couple, Lana Sexton and Henry Stozek, who simply love cool things. The sold my beau the funnest thing — a David Weeks Hanno the Gorilla:

OK, so I’m a whore for housewares. I love home porn and all that goes with it! Nest is yet another chic New York housewares emporium. Whether you’re looking to decorate your own home or help a friend warm hers, the proprietors of Nest have put together a beautiful assortment of tchotchkes and furniture ranging from vintage Danish modern glassware to contemporary furniture and throw pillows, all with more personality than West Elm and less ubiquity than Jonathan Adler.
