Nine West

I am writing this review only because of my 2 times experiences I had with staff working at Nine West (2 Broadway, New York). The store manager and the other woman working with her were very rude, inattentive, and disrespectful. They had no desire to help or to even sell a product. They had no basic customer service skills or lets say human morals/​social communication skills. Their rudeness and behavior made me return my two purchases I had from them even though I love Nine Wests products. This is my first time writing a review on Unilocal.

I purchased a pair of black pointy toe flats from here. I was on the fence but the woman at the register told me that even if they don’t work out I can bring them back for a store credit, EVEN if worn.
I wore the flats for one day and my feet were in MAJOR pain. I wear 4 inch heels on a regular basis and I rarely complain about foot pain. These flats cut into my feet so deep, I was struggling to not just take them off and wear a pair of fold-​a-​flats from the drugstore.
So I brought them back for my store credit only to be told that I wasn’t able to get a store credit. WTF??? So now I have a pair of $ 70 painful shoes sitting in my closet. Way to stand by your store policy.

Ran in to get a pair of workshops since my current ones were killing me. Super helpful staff. I must’ve tried on 6 pairs before deciding on one. Also walked out with a pair of comfy boots. Staff was really helpful and friendly.

My supervisor came back from Nine West the other day wearing different shoes than the ones she had left with, and carrying some more pairs in bags. Her original shoes didn’t even make it back to the office in any of those bags! With that kind of potential sale, I ventured in during lunch today.
I didn’t buy anything because I found the selection lacking (as in, what they have in the store on display. I do like Nine West shoes, I walked in wearing a pair and there is another pair sitting under my desk), though they have a full stockroom and will order shoes for you if they don’t have them. What’s nice is they usually do have the full range of colors for a given shoe. The sales associates are courteous and friendly, and it isn’t very crowded during lunch… at least right now. We’ll see if that changes when the sun provides real warmth to Earth in later months.

This small Nine West location near Bowling Green and Battery Park is great for a quick shopping fix after work if you are employed in the area or if you live nearby. The sales staff is always friendly and never pushy and the store has a surprising amount of inventory despite it’s small size. I find that I can find sales styles in my size more frequently here than at their other downtown locations and it’s quieter and cleaner.
