I worked for them for a few days in September. They also operate under the name Centurion & Company, advertising for entry level candidates to support causes in several areas including«Women’s Rights, World Hunger, Human Trafficking, Child Sponsorship, Disaster Relief. The job does not offer a minimum salary and consists of going door to door and asking people to give money for Children International. «The salary» is 35 dollars for a ten hour day which includes your transport and food. No benefits are offered and people are working on commission. If employees don’t bring money in for 2 days, there is no compensation at all. I hope that this post prevents people of falling into their trap. When trying to hire, they also promise extremely dubious growth opportunities and a 6 digit salary after working for them for a few months. The ridiculous part is that I had to go through 3 interviews to be offered the job. So I was fooled in the beginning thinking that this is a real job. People there are very nice and they will try to win prospective candidates over.

I recently went on an interview with Northstar Consulting Group and was very impressed by the people and atmosphere there. Recently graduating from Cornell University, I was excited to hear back from a very cheerful and warm voice saying they would like me to come in for a preliminary interview. Everyone I met during the process was polite and professional. I met with a guy who was a big soccer fan, and being that I was a D1 soccer player in college that’s most of what we talked about. He explained to me at the end of the interview to await a call for the second round interview, which I did get! This interview was a full day job shadow, where I actually got to see what they do firsthand. I spent the day meeting with business owners. The girl who interviewed me was very personable and nice. She even taught me some of the sales techniques she was using — definitely a great experience overall. I’m waiting to hear from them, but will write more if I get the job.

SCAMALERT… If you go on the second interview you see the scam in progress. You see these people forcing these people to join there energy company. Soon as they get the bill they start inputting it into their tablet and then the other guy distract them so they can get there info in. So once they do, they make small talk trying to convince them add well. When they told them to sign the tablet for an electronic signature, they say«oh this is to show I spoke to you today». Bull, they are making you sign a two year contract with them. Plus the rates are gonna change so its no use having the contract. Also you have to sign twice so they trick them and say, sorry it didn’t go through can you try again. On my shadowing we ran I to a guy who use to do this but was smart enough not to give her the bill. And he said no but was polite, but this girl thinks she can still get it. What they do is say go get the bill and they will break eye contact. This is a method and don’t fall for it. Also my third interview this guy had the balls to ask why should we train you and use our resources? There’s really no training but the software and on the go training. Also there’s no resources they are using to train you. Another thing is once you see the office you know this place is a scam. Don’t go here or get involved because they have bull**** practices and are a big scam.
