In it’s most basic form, you could describe Nothing to Hide as 70 minutes of card tricks but… your would be doing the show a great disservice. Nothing to Hide was the BEST close-up magic show I have ever seen. Having attended many shows at the Magic Castle and having seen many of the greats, that’s saying something. Helder and Derek are truly the best at what they do. I know the show is now closed in NYC but if it reopens somewhere else, do yourself a favor and go see it.

Mind. Blown. It’s hard to write about this magic show in detail when you don’t want to ruin any of the surprises; but needless to say, this was an amazingly-well executed show that was able to bring sleight of hand magic to a large crowd. It’s basically all card tricks. But AMAZING card tricks. Card tricks that you didn’t think you’d be able to appreciate unless you were sitting stage-side, but with thoughtful planning and staging, everyone from the premium seats to balcony seats were able to enjoy and appreciate every trick(well, I THOUGHT the balcony seats folks were able to enjoy it). Helder and Derek also do a nice job of involving the audience(and not just the folks who paid big bank for on-stage seating) in the show in one way or another, so that was great too. Unfortunately, the show is closing soon but what I would say is that if you ever do get the opportunity to watch Herlder Guimaraes and Derek Delgaudio perform in any other venue, GO!
