I can’t believe how great she was with the children. I thought of her as a teacher for adults because I’ve seen her work with so many really fine players but the way she taught the kids was really eye opening. I would recommend her as a teacher for anyone of any age. Really impressive. From baroque to contemporary she knows all the styles.

My eleven year old daughter has been taking lessons with Laura Thompson for almost four years, and she loves her flute more each week! Laura is a wonderful teacher who has a great touch with children and young adults. I’m especially happy that my daughter has not only learned technique but has developed a real love and intuition for the music from the inside out. That’s hard to teach, but Laura has guided my daughter towards a greater appreciation of music and an even bigger sense of accomplishment.
