NYC Small Moves

I had a small hauling job I needed to do on a Sunday (taking two large audio speakers from midtown Manhattan to Brooklyn Heights). Everything went smoothly with these guys. They were nice, and professional. I would certainly use them in the future.

YES. Tuna and his brother Turan were responsive/​professional. Gave me a rate by phone, which I confirmed with a text exchange two days prior. Price was quite reasonable – note: if your move requires a COI (mine did not), they don’t have that. Day of pick up, they asked address again; slight misunderstanding on drop off point (I had given Tuna the address/​zip by phone). It was $ 20 more, but I still thought it was a good price. Both Turan and I agreed it’s silly to quibble for $ 20 (hint: put all in text). The mover arrived promptly, early even. Nice guy Matt/​Mehmet. The other guy was on time; arrived separately. They wrapped the sofa with plastic, not the cushions, but that was fine. I left them to get to my house and returned to work in midtown. They checked in with me when they dropped the piece. Quite seamless. Great job, gentlemen, THANK YOU!!!

The guy was great I requested one man with a van, drove and met him at the location, he was prompt. I was just moving a full size mattress and frame, we got it in his van. He met me at my house we took it upstairs he assembled it quickly. Would recommend these guys to anyway, fair prices, on time, and very professional. 10star service. Thanks alot Tuna

I hired NYC SMALL MOVES to transport a China cabinet from Long Island to NYC. Communication was excellent. I received an immediate response for a price, which was at least $ 100 less than other estimates. After emailing with Hilmi/​Tuna, I learned he has just a cargo van and no insurance. NYC Small Moves is not a ‘professional’ moving company. But, it was fine for my needs and after confirming with Hilmi that he had the appropriate gear (dolly, hand truck, ramp) to move my large piece of furniture, I booked 2 men for the move. He showed up at the pick up address on time but by himself. I don’t know how he managed to put it in his van, but I knew it had to be easier in the suburbs than delivery in NYC. He arrived at my apartment on time but with only 1 small dolly. The wood part of the furniture was wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap, but the wrought iron was exposed. Thankfully, my boyfriend was able to come help move the piece of furniture with him or else I don’t know how it would have gotten done with only one mover instead of the two that I booked.
For communication, price and punctuality I’d rate 5 stars. For actual moving services… you get what you pay for.

These guys are AMAZING! They showed up on time, packed the dresser very nicely so it wouldn’t get damaged, and were extremely careful moving it down 3 very tight flight of stairs. The dresser is 63in long and quite heavy. The price was very competitive with no hidden fees. Traffic was terrible and they did not charge me more. They were very polite and courteous as well. My dresser arrived in perfect condition to my apartment. 5 stars!!!

I hired NYC Small moves to move a sofa from Manhattan to Jersey City. They responded to my inquiry promptly and were able to schedule the move/​delivery the next day. The professional who moved and transported the item in his van did an excellent job. He was punctual, friendly, efficient — overall a great job! The price was right as well. I have used NYC Small Moves three times when I bought large furniture and moved apartments. Tuna even went to Westchester to pick up a new couch and drive it to Manhattan. Very easy coordination via text message. They are extremely reliable, fast, and very careful with your items. I would highly suggest using his services.
