NYC UpOut has no event worth attending. I have been a member for 8 months, and have yet to find an event of interest to me. Most of the NYC events are already priced at less than $ 20, so not much of a discount when you already pay $ 20 monthly. If you are a member, make sure to claim your movie tickets instead of an event, as this discount is a steal! If you don’t claim your movie tickets, they will pocket the money with no refund to you. When I cancelled my account, they told me that I could use my 5-month credits, however, within 30-days. If I haven’t found an event of interest within 8-months, how do they expect me to find 5 within one month. What is more absurd, after talking to their representatives, there is NOTHING that they can do to make this a pleasant experience for me. I only gave UpOut an 8-month chance to make me happy with the money I was spending, and now in the end, no resolve. Bad business, if you ask me.
