Came here for a few drinks, was overwhelmed by the scent of what I thought was urine, but was actually stale beer. Dirty appearance. Bartender was very nice and attentive. Not a good selection of beers. Overall disappointed

Was in town sunday night for a weekend trip. Just wanted a low key night looking for some good music and drinks. Found this place on Unilocal and supperrrrr glad we did. Guinness on tap, smooth. Blue grass jam session with musicians just coming and going very chill atmosphere. Seems like they play every week and all know each other, some guy jumped in with drums and folks were super welcoming. At one point more musicians than customers — loved it. Bartender took great care of us and we even had some good thai food take out(she have us take out menus! So sweet) with several pints of Guinness at the bar. Couldnt’t have asked for more. Wish we had a joint like this back home!

My favorite Irish pub in Manhattan. Traditional, old-school pub, lots of wood, and lots and lots of Guinness! I called them up a few hours before going out with friends and asked if they served food, to which the bartender on the other end answered, in his thick Irish brogue: «All we have is Guinness, Guinness, and more Guinness!» That’s how I knew this place was gonna be awesome. And the live Irish music on top of all that is the icing on the cake!

So excited to bring 3 friends there tonight and told them best Guinness in NY. When I was explaining to friends how tap system is different and why you let it settle for 90 seconds and then pull tap other way the female bartender(not Tara) very rudely said it doesn’t matter how you pour it. I then asked her why did you only pour it ¾ and let settle she had no way to respond. Very disappointed. Will have to check back with guys from for where to drink next

I liked it. The barmaid was friendly, but not interviewing me. Sometimes, you just want to sit and enjoy your pint. That’s exactly what I did. Good stuff!

I liked this place. There were two sassy bartendresses, one from Ireland, one from Scotland that chatted us up with the wit only known in the Isles. Decent beer list, fun crowd, pool table in back. We picked the place because the House Band Mickey Finn’s was playing, and we did not pay a cover. What would be even better would be if the Finn’s started before 11 — we are not wanting to party till 4AM any more, 2 will do, so a 10AM start would be better.

Live music by local musicians at a chill bar! I came because I was invited by my friend who was performing that night and there was NOCOVERCHARGE to get in. I didn’t want to drink and they were nice about not forcing me to buy a minimum of drinks. They gave me some water. How kind. My friends got some beer and some mixed drinks which were reasonably priced for NYC. venue was a bit small, but nice. They have a pool table in the back too. The owner was super friendly too. He likes to get on stage sometimes as well. So yeah whether you want to drink and enjoy some live music, or you just want to come see someone perform(and not be forced to buy drinks. which they do elsewhere), paddy reilly’s is great!

Nice place to go for some live music and decent ambience. They had guinness alone on tap, the others were regular bottle beers for $ 7+. Decent cocktails for $ 10+. Bartenders are very friendly and accommodating.

My favorite place to go on a Saturday night. Especially after 6:00 when they have the singer song writer night. The host {Rick) is upbeat and friendly as well as the atmosphere.

Saw some really incredible talent last night. The bar tender was amazing, patient, attentive, friendly. If you’re looking to sign up for open mic, get there very early, the list is long, very long. The atmosphere is very relaxed, i’ll be going back.

Wait, I never rated this place?! Really fantastic divey bar with amazing bartenders and a very friendly crowd. They often have live music in here and it will range from rock to blue-grass. Fairly inexpensive from what I recall. I really think the best part of this place is the people. Tara the bartender is the best! Thanks for taking care of me Tara. I’ll be back soon. Nothin’ but Guinness on tap and I have no complaints about that.

Went here for St. Patricks day. My co-worker was craving a Guinness and immediately Paddy Reilly’s bar pop up in my head. I’ve walked past it every week and always liked their retro Guinness ads. We paid $ 10 for cover. As soon as we walked in, we ordered 3 Guinness(they only have Guinness on tap) but it came out super fast with a smile. Great friendly«college-like» crowd, at one point this drunk guy sat on lap for like 2 awkward seconds but I was having such a good time I didn’t care. It was a good night, too bad my friend Alsan A had his jacket stolen though… hmm.

Being an idiot can be hard sometimes. I locked myself out and was forced, FORCED to spend the evening here drinking guinesss. On a random monday there was easily 20 grey haired musicians jamming down. Apparently live music every night, either Irish or bluegrass. Count me in. No food, but carry in ok. Pool table in back too.

THE smoothest Guinness on this side of the Atlantic. Only believe me if I’ve been to the other side of the Atlantic I’ve been to is not China. Confused? me too. This Guinness is really good. And the only draft beer they sell. I came here on St. Pat’s day, where a bunch of fire marshals were partying. Ironically, I’m pretty sure they over capacity. Honestly, I wouldn’t ask for a different way to celebrate the chasing of snakes of the Emerald Isle, aside from, actually chasing snakes. I’d highly recommend this place to those who missed college bars on a Friday night. I wish I could say I liked this bar more, but the Guinness was so good that 4 stars are deserved.

I went here on a Saturday evening to see a friend that was playing a set. The bar was pretty much what you anticipate from an Irish bar: dingy and a little run down. The only beer on tap is Guinness, which isn’t a bad thing. The atmosphere is very relaxed and feels like a small town bar. The only knock for me would be that it doesn’t offer food. I could see the added trouble of having a kitchen, but at least something to keep the hungry customer there. That said, if you’re looking for a relaxing time with a pint of Guinness and live music, it is definitely the place to go.

One of my favorite bars, always and forever. Recently I went in, and the following exchange happened: Patron: I’m saving a seat for my friend Paddy Reilly. Bartender: Ah, Ya might be waiting a while. It’s true, Paddy Reilly occasionally drops in, but nobody should expect him to saddle up. This place has constantly changed over the years. The windows used to be mostly covered, and now they provide a full unobstructed view outside. They threw a fresh coat of paint on the back room walls, and the stage was shifted. No matter what changes are made, this place maintains its great comfort of a local pub. I wish I lived closer, as I’d be in every day. It’s like a long lost love way over in the Murray Hill area of Manhattan.
