Pak Mei Martial Arts Association

A rare gem. I dont like to talk about the school because I selfishly dont want people to find out about it. Theres nothing like this school, rich history, real training, im proud to be a student of Sifu Wong.

I searched for many years and tried out many different schools to find a place like this. Pak Mei is a very difficult style, but very rewarding — aggressive, direct, but more intricate and subtle than it initially appears. Sifu and our Sisuk (who fulfill an assistant instructor role) are all patient and down to earth. There are no belts in this style — only a hierarchy based on respect for your senior students and teachers. Students advance when they are ready, with no need for paid belt testing. We also gather to celebrate the fellowship of our association with bi-​annual banquets (these are not mandatory, but they are a good time.)
Here, you’ll get a great workout every class, conditioning, fighting tactics, and much more. I truly believe that there are no other systems that strike like we do.

I love this school. SiFu is a great guy with an even greater sense of humor who always makes the time to help students who are struggling. everyone here is welcoming and supportive. the whole school has a great vibe and the seniors will push you to exhaustion and beyond if you’re willing to go there. after many many years in the martial arts I believe this to be a truly traditional and as hard-​core of a school as you could wish to be in without a lot of the ego and posturing that I’ve seen in most other traditional and non-​traditional schools and gyms.

I have 20+ years of experience in martial arts. I’ve seen a lot of what’s out there and this is the best system and best lineage I’ve encountered. It’s complex, but efficient. Challenging, but rewarding. If you’re looking for a pretty, flowery kung fu style, this isn’t the place for you.
