Solid location, especially now that area Duane Reade’s carries such a limited selection of cards; Papyrus and otherwise.
Tons of gorgeous options at all price points in this store, plus a slew of awesome other items (books, gift bags, candles, et al). One staffer wasn’t very attentive or welcoming… though the other was quite nice, allowing me to shop, and being friendly at checkout.
Music was pumped way too loudly (like…distractingly so). And the small space is a bit cramped. But still cool to pop in, get what you need, and pop out (semi-​browseable store…).

Great selection of everything and after Xmas everything is 75% off. Yay!

Pretty much your standard Papyrus store, centrally located on 6^th ave just around the corner from 30 Rock.
If you’re in dire need for a last-​minute card or gift, this isn’t a bad place to stop by. The folks here are friendly and helpful. There’s also a decent amount of stuff on sale/​clearance that’s worth scooping up.
The only annoyance for me is that this place is small, feels a bit cluttered and can be difficult to shop in if there’s a lot of people inside at the same time.

Their collection is limited, but at least, the cards are usually of good quality. I really hope someday New York City would have better options than Papyrus for cards and gifts. Sadly, this seems to be a category undervalued…
I personally love miscellaneous objects that could carry emotions, memories and characters to send as gifts. Perhaps human connection should be more than digital message and luxury brand stuffs?

Even though this store is small, it has a good selection of cards and gift items. Papyrus cards are pricey, definitely — but if you feel like splurging, they’re well worth it. I visited this store yesterday and I particularly liked the lovely decorative boxes containing beautiful notecards.

They should really turn this location to a specialized card store. They barely sell anything else and whatever extras they do sell are pretty useless.
I’ve come here multiple times looking for things that Papyrus usually sells, but couldn’t find them here.
If you’re looking for something other than a greeting card, save yourself the trip and don’t come here.

I’m a stationary fanatic. I LOVE Papyrus. This location is small but they have a good general selection of great cards. A good stop before my way home, without having to venture too far off the track. I usually go to a larger Papyrus if I want a bigger selection though.

Papyrus stationary is gorgeous. The high quality products, the thoughtfulness and diversity of the messages, and the vast selection are all reasons why this brand is my go-​to choice when it comes to cards. This is the first Papyrus store that I have been in (usually I buy cards from secondary dealers so I never get to see the whole selection at once) and boy did I enjoy it. I walked around the whole store twice — looking intently at each shelf to (hopefully) see each and every individual card.
I like that the store is set up in sections so if you are in a hurry you can go in and quickly see the kids birthday cards, or wedding cards, etc. I also appreciate that the store is neat and tidy, I am sure people can quickly mess up the cards and you can tell the staff take pride in ensuring the cards are put back in the proper place.
The downside for this store is location — being in the heart of all the New York action actually makes it quite difficult to see all of the cards through all of the people. And if you didn’t have patience (believe me, it took a lot) to wait your turn to see everything then one could become frustrated and walk out unhappy. I understand this is typical of New York, but it still exists in this store. I also didn’t like the sales staff’s attitude. I had a couple of questions to ask and both the associates working were short and curt with their answers and it felt like I was inconveniencing them by asking about the product.
Overall I love Papyrus and will continue to support the brand, just not at this location.

Somehow I always end up here at Christmas time — because I am enroute to the Godiva store at Rock Center. I usually can find something a little special for either individual or boxed cards. Nice shop, friendly and helpful staff.

I needed a Bar Mitzvah card and they had a selection of 3. Prices are pretty high and the cashier was on the phone throughout our whole transaction. Still beats Duane Reade, though.

Any Papyrus, even the worst Papyrus in the city, is way better than Hallmark, Duane Reed, or any of those other places people go buy cards. That said, this is not the Grand Central Station Papyrus, but that can be a blessing. If you work in the Rockefeller Center area, a coffee break can turn into a quick 15 minute trip for that perfect birthday or Valentine’s Day card.
Pros: lighter crowds, smaller, more edited selection means less browse time
Cons: smaller selection means may not find «perfect card»; small store hard to navigate.
I’ll shop here again because it’s convenient and because the Grand Central Station store makes me want to have a nervous breakdown.

This is one of the smallest Papyrus stores ever… I really like buying cards and stationary and stickers and scrapbook stuff… Papyrus has a lot of really cute things to fit all your card and scrapbook needs, but this store is just way too tiny…
This location does have a good selection of stationary though… And they have good sales, like 70% off sales… Can’t go wrong there…

Let’s start by saying that I’m a stationary/​paper/​card whore of the worst kind. Now that that is out of the way let’s get down to business.
This place has adorable things. Precious cards, adorable stationary, just waiting patiently to be customized/​monogrammed, sweet albums and all sorts of trinkets (check out the random fake-​me-​out engagement rings by the counter!). I could literally spend hours in this place. The only drawback? It’s PRICEY! I reserve Papyrus for special occasion cards and occasional indulgences (like the adorable magnet pad with cutesy dogs printed across the bottom, it’s second only to a real dog!). For all the day to day stuff I shop on-​line.
