Park East Wines & Spirits

I actually don’t have too much to comment on the wine selection given that my MO in any wine store is to find the most affordable Pino Noir out of California or Oregon. Although I will say they do have a large selection of bubbly (prossecco and champagne) which usually features a not-​too-​shabby $ 7 – 9 bottle — great for the park or a mimosa. My boyfriend seems to like their bourbon selection.
Most of my review has to do with the guys who work here. They are a FUN, all caps, group of guys who seem to really enjoy what they do there. They appear to know a lot about their selection and are always offering to help. They cut up and will make you laugh even on the worst of days. They are always wizzing all around the store either stocking, fixing things, or helping customers. The music is always great as well, some times I actually look at wines just so that I can finish the song.
I always leave with a smile on my face which is why I go here vs. other wine stores.

This place rocks! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection is amazing– particularly for French Wines. The weekly (at minimum) tastings are the best. I live down the block and it’s by far one of the top reasons I’m hesitant to move out of this neighborhood.

I am by no means a wine expert, but the staff here made it easy for me to pick out a wine for a special occasion. They asked me my budget, what I was looking for and then gave me some solid choices to choose from. They seemed honest and genuine when advising me on what to get, and they did not try to up sell me. Would definitely suggest if you on the area.

Just had the most amazing customer experience at this place. I went in looking for a particular bottle of cabernet sauvignon. They didn’t have the bottle, but one of the employees gave me some recommendations. I purchased the bottle and started walking home. I was carrying quite a few items and I dropped the bottle right in front of my apartment. My $ 14 bottle shattered all over the sidewalk. I was so frustrated, but I went back to the store to buy another one. The employee who gave me the recommendation saw me in the store, and asked if I had come back to buy another. I told him what happened, and he said that if I brought the top of the broken bottle back as evidence he would let me swap it for a new bottle. I couldn’t believe it. I ran back, carefully placed the broken bottle into a bag, and brought it back to the store. Sure enough, the gentleman gave me a brand new bottle free of charge. I honestly can’t believe that they were so nice about it. Now THAT is SUPERB customer service. I would highly recommend this place.

This place is great for grabbing a bottle of wine. Plus, they give you a discount if you buy in bulk. Great neighborhood spot!

This is one of the best wine stores in the area. You can’t even compare it with the others because of its selection and the knowledgable staff. Seriously, it makes a difference. I went into this first wine store with a picture of a wine trying to get that specific bottle and the guy tells me he doesn’t carry that vendor but that he had a lower priced chianti that might be up my alley. I tell him I want this specific and he says «we have other chianti.» I never have this problem with the guys at Park Wines.
Plus, given their sick wine collection, you can score some major deals if you buy 12 bottles (be sure to throw in some $ 60 bottles as I ended up saving $ 96 in total). Waiting to go back to stock up.

I bought two bottles of California reds here. That afternoon, I was closer to Yorkshire on 85^th and first, so I stopped in. I saw the same two reds I bought earlier on the day, each 30% cheaper. I walked past park east and told them about it, his response was” wow, that’s really a low price.” He made no attempt to match the price. That was my last time there

…hmmmmmm… so as a wanna-​be hippie, this place is neato. Thanks for the koolest wine shoppe in Yorkville.

I was very excited to discover this place shortly after I moved to York. Not only is it a block away and very fairly priced but they also have a very large selection of DOCG wines which I typically enjoy like chianti. I am happy to have it as a neighbor!

I live across the street and this place has never failed me.
All the guys in there are really cool and always ready to help.
I’m not big into wine but they seem to have a very nice selection along with the staff to help you pick the perfect bottle of wine for any occasion.
I definitely recommend this place to all the Yorkville residents out there.

While there are lots of small wine stores in this area, I always make it a point to come to this store because the customer experience is awesome. The selection is very good and the prices are in line with the stores of the area, but its the staff that sets this store apart. They are always super friendly and are very very knowledgeable about their product. They make great recommendations and are always ready to help. They may not look like your typical spittoon using wine connoisseur, but they can certainly explain the difference between a Mourvèdre and a Grenache. Salud!

Armani and the rest of the guys have never steered me wrong, whether I’m giving a fancy bottle as a gift, looking for something tasty to serve at a dinner party or just in search of a cheap cab that’ll go well with a burger. They are the best.

I’m no wine connoisseur but this place seems to have a great selection (especially for a small space). It’s easy to find what you want and for a variety of price points.
The staff is always extremely friendly AND they do in-​store wine tastings.

Cute wine and liquor shop near my apartment. They have a nice selection considering the store is pretty small. The staff is also pretty good at helping you make a wise selection. The only downside is the prices do tend to be higher — for example my favorite scotch is $ 4 more per bottle here than at other area stores.

Wide selection and great customer service. Also good sound track playing in the background. I’ve ordered delivery once and it was quick. I usually just walk over and pick out my own bottle but the staff is very helpful and super friendly. Yay!

One of the few saving graces of living super far north and east in Manhattan is the very neighborhood-​y locale of Yorkville.
It’s one of the few locations in the city that has some serious mom and pop shops, most of which have been around for quite some time and all of which are incredibly friendly.
Take Park East Wines for example.
Only a few blocks from me, it’s definitely my go-​to location for liquor and wine. They are open late, which is extremely helpful and almost always have a wine or spirit tasting happening, open to anyone, that costs zero of your dollars.
Pre-​game party? I think so.
They are more than willing to help you pick the perfect wine, offer up clever drink concoctions, will make sure they have a bottle of white chilling in the fridge for you if you call ahead and are happy to do special orders of anything you want. I often go in there before parties to get a case of cheap wine. They discount is 20% and deliver it right to my apartment, free of charge.
Thank goodness too, because that ish is heavy.
Even if the selection were not vast and stellar, I would probably still go here for the friendly, helpful (and very clean!) atmosphere.

Cute wine store. Nice peeps. They have a wide range of wine and alky at a wide range of prices.

Really nice little wine and liquor store on the far UES on York Ave. Good selection of wines and spirits. Tastings a few nights out of the week, and not just for wines. Dropped by not too long ago and they had a bourbon tasting — sweet! Smart, friendly, educated staff that knows their stuff. Plus, they also deliver. Great local place to have nearby.

Great selection of wines and spirits, as the sign suggests… great friendly service, and tastings all throughout the week posted conveniently outside the store to remind you as you walk past on the way back from work. times are also very convenient, being placed just around happy hour (s). if you schedule your stops right, you’ll taste everything on the menu, from hard liqours to soft wines from exotic locations… LUCKY!

Good customer services, quick deliveries, and a great option of a lot of wines and both high-​end and low-​end spirits (and mini bottles!!). Make sure you stop in for tastings several nights out of the week! They have a sommelier on site which is rare indeed! A gem in the great neighborhood of Yorkville.
