I like the atmosphere here. Good drinks and nice dusky specials. The foods pretty good too. You can enjoy the game while drinking or having a hookah. They sometimes have a love DJ which is awesome. Great place to hang out and eat and drink plus enjoy some sports.

How I go to this place with my wife, they sit us down, we order drinks appetizer then we are told they ran out off steak, when this restaurant is known for thier steak, SMFH bad customer service they should of let the customer know as soon as we sat down, ONLY gave it one star because you have to give at least one star to start the post !

We waited over an our for our bread for the table — which we had to pay for btw. A third of our food came out about five minutes ago and I’m sitting here still waiting for the side to accompany my meal as well as the other 3 of 5 orders. Pretty disappointing service considering there are only two additional tables — which the kitchen was backed up over(we waiting 75+ minutes for our food) not sure how that happens. I can only imagine if the restaurant is busy since there are 16 empty tables around — yes I counted. I split the parrillada Argentina which wasn’t even grilled it was all pan fried, no grill marks, smokey flavor etc. my dad ordered a chicken salad(aka raw chicken– picture attached) we had to give him a glass of milk for his upset stomach afterwards. We informed out waitres who cringed when she took away his plate — yet we still had to pay for it. Needless to say there is nothing I’d return to this place for.

my dad ordered from here last night and this is what the chicken looked like. Extremely disappointed, we threw out the flavorless chicken along with the tasteless beans. We won’t be ordering from here again. Too bad the food doesn’t taste the same like it use to years ago.

I went to this place tonight and I can not lie the food is good, good hookah, and good music after 10pm. My girl and I had food and several drinks. I had no problems until I tried to close my tab. To back up I had a hookah and the bartender told me it was not a problem to put that on my debit card. I got a refill on my hookah and then they tried to tell me that had to be paid in cash. They told me I can use the Atm in the restaurant which charged a 3 dollar fee. I questioned it but okay I went ahead and did it to get a refill. No one at that point told me anything about using debit card for the rest of the food and drinks. Back to the closing tab. I went to close my bill and I gave the waitress/bartender my bill and debit card. She told me oh you can not use card because machine is not working. Now, peep I just saw another employee swipe a customer card at the machine and it seemed to be no problem. This chick did not even try to swipe my card and told me this shit and told me to use the Atm machine. I told her no one told me this the entire night about cash only and machine not working. I saw another guy behind me owner/manager some guy in suit and told him hey I’m trying to use me card. He said let me see your bill. It seems like he looked at my bill and saw I spent a good amount of money and said I’ll take care of it because i was really upset. He went to computer swiped card with no problems and came to me and gave me some dumb smirk talking about machine was down earlier. Trust me as a smart intellectual person I knew this was a con to try to get people to use in house Atm machine to get them more money off of the fees. A place that tries to con the customer’s to get more money should be shutdown. I will never be back to this unethical establishment and I suggest you shouldn’t either. To many places in the Heights have good food and music that are honest and trustworthy that will love your business without trying to scam it’s customers from more money. I’m in Real Estate and deal in this area alot and will inform everyone I deal with to stay clear of this place. Even though I had a decent time I can not support a place that tries to take advantage of its customers. This place does not respect you as a hardworking consumer and you have the power by not spending your dollar here.

I was not expected, but I really enjoyed the dinner here. I would definitely recommend the salmon with mashed potatoes and the Cuban meat with rice. The happy hour drinks are OK for 5 $. I suggest to order sangria rather than frozen margaritas.

Amazing place for happy hour and especially Saturday nights. Max is one of the best bartenders. He’s fast, friendly and goes beyond and above for his customers. Will definitely go back to this place. I highly recommend it and make sure to ask for Max.

First time going was this past Sunday while hosting a happy hour, and honestly I was pleased. It’s one of those places that you may pass so many times, but never get a chance to stop in for whatever reason. Actually going in, you find a little gem in your local area, so I can appreciate this space for that! The place was clean and had a chill vibe to it. Servers were very polite and available when needed. Drinks were on point as well, and since I collaborated with DJ’s, the music was very versatile and kept the energy going. Not necessarily a dance space, but you could still have fun busting a move here and there. The hookah was on point, coal lasted quite a while and it was only $ 5 to replace it, which in my opinion wasn’t that bad of a charge(although I’ve been to places where it was free to change it, but it’s only $ 5, definitely manageable). Now as far as the food, I’m a fat boy at heart, so food means a lot to me. I ordered the fish tacos, and I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish was fried perfectly(not too greasy, not too crisp) and they had the right sauce to go with it. My friends ordered chicken tacos and other dishes and they enjoyed their meals as well, so kudos to the cook! Only reason why I’m taking a star off is because they don’t take card(yes, I’m that petty). Other than that, I’ll be there often(Shameless Plug: I’m hosting again this Sunday @ 4pm)

Overpriced. Undercooked. Slow service. And make sure to take cash with you, because their credit card machines tend to freeze in the middle of a transaction and then you’re the jerk for not having cash readily available. Will definitely not be dining here again.

Since my last review a year ago, I can honestly say this place has made improvements. I heard that there was a change in management but not sure when the change occurred– either way, it seems to be working for them. The best thing about coming here is the happy hour specials. While the signs outside sometimes say different times, happy hour during the weekdays seems to be from 12pm to 10pm. Weekend hh goes til 8 or 9pm. The deals are great! $ 15 or $ 20 for a pitcher of sangria(different prices are posted, ask the bartender) and a bunch of other deals. For $ 25 you can get a pitcher of sangria and hookah. Can’t beat that! I was also happy that the kitchen and staff were much better than my first time there. Upon request, they were able to make me a quesadilla with vegetables instead of meat, which I really appreciated. The only drawback is that the music is really loud sometimes. I went on Monday night when there was a decent amount of people at the bar, but the music would have made you think the place was packed to the limit. Luckily, hh specials are available at the tables as well, and it is a little easier to talk there.

I love this place for their happy hour specials on hookah($ 15) and my favorite drink Matrimonio($ 7). Matrimonio is a mix of sangria and frozen margarita and after about 2 – 3 of them, I’m always feeling a nice buzz. From the menu, I’ve had their grilled and fried calamari, shrimp stuffed avocado, mussels, and tacos. The food is pretty good paired with drinking with friends. I usually sit near the front since the music can get a bit loud. Also, be sure to check their sign out front, because sometimes they have specials like free hookah or $ 10 hookah, $ 5 drinks, and cheap shots.

Would not come back for brunch. Food is just ok. How do you serve a burrito with a side or rice and beans, when the burrito comes with it. Second problem is that you can only pay cash, credit is if you spent more than 100 dollar’s. 3rd food is not bad but it’s not great. Salt and pepper are missing. I had to douse my steak and eggs with hot sauce and ketchup to give it some flavor. Now prices are not crazy high and food amount is decent. ServiceMaster was also decent. We got seated and promptly taken care of. Table was wobbly and got changed to another wobbly table. Then missing forks/knife for me and I had the steak. Quickly fixed but come on, we even had to ask for napkins since they only provided 1 per person. Beer selection is pretty good and prices are normal. During brunch music is wayyyyyyy too loud and you can’t speak to the person in front of you. A few people Walked out that we noticed and kids should not be here during brunch. Hookah is served at 25 a pop and 15 a refills. Music is so loud that you don’t want to eat anything, just drink. Crowd is not mixed, most are African American and like 3 of us Latinos and 2 white servers. Don’t want to bring the race card but it’s ny and we are all mixed. Some good looking servers and patrons here.

No plans of coming back here. The space they have is huge which is the one plus. The food was alright but nothing memorable. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was fine and my friends so had tacos. The tacos had nothing in them but meat. No cheese, no tomatoes, nothing. Service was slow. We also had drinks which definitely were a good price for happy hour but after two sangrias I felt like I had two glasses of juice.

I ordered via seamless and it has been almost two hours and no food yet. They told me an hour ago that the order had already gone out. Wish I could review the food, but I have not been able to eat it yet! This is unacceptable… I have eaten here before(in person AND via delivery) and the food is usually pretty good(although the service at the restaurant has always been slow) Called Seamless and they reached out to one of the owners via telephone who hung up on them when they started to explain the situation. Order has been cancelled as a result and this is the last time I deal with these guys. A real shame, because there is a big need for variety in this neighborhood.

It is with a heavy head that I have to rate this place to 2 stars. If I had written my first impression of this place 6 months ago, it would have been outstanding. Unfortunately, they’ve taken a turn for the worse – my ratio of good v. bad is heavy on the bad side. What I used to love: — The sweet waitress that clearly has been there for years — The guacamole — The mexican burger — The homemade chile sauces — The garlic fries My current experience: — Ordering on Grubhub and my order never comes… — Poor service(I haven’t been graced with my usual lady) — The mexican burger sometimes comes out as a regular burger — I still love those dang homemade sauces! — The garlic fries might come out with garlic, they might not It just seems that depending on the day/hour, the chef on staff, and the waiters you might get the experience at this restaurant is a severe hit or miss. Everyone has their off days, but my last four experiences(yes, I love those sauces) have been remarkably bad. Parrilla, listen to your customers. We want to love you, but give us a reason to keep coming back!

I’ve been in the area for about a year and a half. The first two times I went here I was blown away at how bad the service was. Recently I’ve returned and they have revamped their menus to include some tasty sandwiches and burgers. I strongly recommend sitting at the bar for quicker service but even at a table they have greatly increased their service and kindness. The breaded chicken is delicious with the chimichurri on top. The French fries are garlicky and delicious. Their burgers are remodeled and quite good. I only have one problem with their food. Do not get the tropical sandwich. The first time I had it, it was great. Pulled pork, plantains, Pineapple and add some of the delicious chimichurri sauces. A few weeks later when I ordered it again, the pork had large chucks of bone cut up in it. When I asked what happened the woman just said it was a new type of pork. The boss man said we can have free beers the next time we came back but I haven’t been able to bring myself to return… Maybe soon though. I really did enjoy the place.

This place has the best lunch special in the heights. It’s always jam packed with NYP employees, and for a good reason. The food is OUTSTANDING… well at least it is now. this place has a bad rep from the old days. They’ve done a 180, this place rocks. Pro Tip(s): Sit at the bar for better lunch service. Get the american cheeseburger, ask for jalapenos on top. The cappuccinos are handmade, totally worth the measly 3 $ they charge for them.

Worst food. Working at Columbia-Presbyterian, there is such a lack of variety in the area. The few we do have, are terrible. Don’t eat from here. While the décor is gorgeous, the food is soooooooo bland. Seriously. Where’s the salt, pepper, sazon, adobo or whatever it is that can possibly make this tasty? The ropa vieja is extremely chewy, choking hazard! Don’t even think about the sandwiches. They are made up of 99% bread. Disgusting and should be an embarrassment to the owner. Get a new chef! Your food is a disgrace to Latin cuisine!
