Before raving about Dr. Passler, first I’m going to comment on the negative reviews as these ladies are CLEARLY uninformed… I adore this man so much and he’s really helped me– so when I read these ridiculous reviews I must comment. Check out my other Unilocal reviews, you’ll see.

#1RR– She says Dr. P bills for Chiropractic services… Umm he’s a Chiropractor and adjusts me every visit. Most insurance companies don’t pay for nutritionists, yep that’s Americas health care system. Of course you felt like crap the first week, you’re eating LESS FOOD it isn’t rocket science. Tuff it out! You can do it GIRL!
#2RR– Congrats on being a nurse unfortunately that’s not the same as a Dr. Here’s the thing many of your «facts» are incorrect and have ZERO to do with Dr. P. I’m not trying to be model!!! HA! And not everyone has the will power to do it alone. I like being accountable, reporting to Dr. P. That works for me. Sure, you can see me every week, make a meal plan for me and make me accountable for all for FREE! Please send me your number honey…

#3RR-​I have joined Weight Watchers, actually I’m still «member» (since 2010) and it doesn’t work for me. My health had no price tag. OH and Dr. P is very affordable. The shakes, vitamins and bars aren’t that expensive. I’m an artist, I’m the one paying $ 700 a month to get the best health insurance, that doesn’t include a nutritionist. (self pay, again Thanks America). Think about it this way, you’ll buy less cigarettes, eat out less and buy less groceries (since you’re eating less). See I just saved you money girl!

On to the good stuff… Here’s the thing. He gives you results, ONLY I mean only if YOU commit and really want it. Like anything in life! He’s the BEST tool to get you there. I’m a very successful person but I’m not perfect at everything. Dr. P is there for me, he’s supporting and directing my health, which I personally need. He knows his stuff and goes about it the RIGHT way. It’s not a diet, it’s a mind change. Its evident cuz it’s working and I feel great, but only because I WANT IT. Not to mention he’s super cool, fun to chat with and easy going. Spends time with you unlike most doctors, he really cares. And that’s important to me. I only know my experience and perhaps others have different ones. Yes you have to buy the shakes and bars but it’s apart of his tool box. This is part of the plan. I remember my first visit with him, a guy walked in the pay for bars or vitamins, (I didn’t know the guy or Dr. P yet) Dr. P happened to walk in the lobby. He greeted the guy, and said «Happy Holidays, those are on me». This guy genuinely appreciated Dr. P’s generosity you could feel the energy. It was really cool.
Dr. P is right for me, that’s it, plain and simple.

I found dr. charles by some great recommendation. he’s one of the word of mouths in fashion industry. a lot of celebs and people in the fashion industry comes to see him.
the schedule process is by calling the office. you will need to schedule 2 days in a row for first times.
the first time you meet him. he will talk to you and do some test on you plus some take home test. and you come in the next day or the following day to see him.
he will give you the guideline of your meals and a lot of meal replacements and vitamins which avail to purchase at the office.
also he can be pretty much reach by email very easily to discuss any of your concern or question.
i found him to be really friendly, easy to talk to and he’s also crack my backs couple time during my visit (that’s a plus!)
i would recommend anyone who plateau or need to change your diet and lifestyle to come see him.
if you follow through to his guide line and be honest to yourself not overindulgence too much.
you sure will lose that extra weights!

An Elle author described the diet she was placed on by Dr.P. Breakfast consisted of a shake or bar. Lunch and dinner consisted of steamed or raw vegetables. He provided supplements as well. I’m no nutrition expert, but I am a nurse who works with eating disorder patients, and I have read every popular nutrition book on the market. There is nothing earth shattering about such a diet. In fact, it is not nutritionally sound. Unless all of the supplements cover all of the nutritional deficiencies in this diet plan. This is basically a starvation diet. I do not know why Victoria ’ s Secret models pay for such obvious advice. Not to mention, such low calorie consumption is not healthy for most people. The average Victoria ’ s Secret model has a BMI of 17.2−17.5 I am very fit and eat a low carb, dairy/​gluten/​sugar free diet, and 7 – 9 servings of veggies a day. I have a flat belly and men tell me my body is perfect. So much so that i briefly dated Fabio. I have a BMI of 20.5 and weigh 118 lbs at 5’4″. To put a 17.2 BMI into perspective, I would have to lose roughly 20 lbs! I have nothing to even pinch! My point is, you don’t need to spend $ 200 to see this quack, when it’s just common sense. One, a model body is generally not a healthy one. Two, just eat lots of veggies, small portions of lean proteins, and minimize grains to a cooked cup or or two, completely avoiding gluten. Do not eat dairy, citrus, chocolate, or anything with caffeine. For FREE i have given this advice to people, who now have cured their cycstic acne, psoriasis, cysts, etc Even my already shredded friends have lost up yo 5 lbs in a week and now have glowing skin. The end! Save your money.:)

This STELLAR man absolutely changed my life. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to improve their life should go see Dr Passler.
A few years ago, I was having a lot of issues with my attention and memory. I initially tried drugs like Adderall and instantly broke out in hives. My psychologist recommended that I see Dr Passler to work on my issues through nutrition. I also wanted to lose a few pounds so I happily agreed to it.
I’ll be honest that when I showed up to the first appointment I was a huge mess — full of stress, anxiety and depression. I literally balled my eyes out for most of the appointment as I explained all I was going through. Thankfully he is not only a true professional, but also a stellar human being. He listened, offered amazing insight and continuously helped me stay focused on the goal of health and wellness.
I lost weight, gained mental clarity and my skin glowed! I had no idea just how much I could change my body through nutrition.
Now, a couple years later, I found myself no longer fitting in my clothes. I knew it was time to get back to Dr P! Within the first week I was already feeling SO much better. I am still working with him and hope to forever!
Some other reviewers complained about the prices. He’s worth every single penny and then some. It might be a little pricey, but it is a true investment in yourself — which is something I think most people could stand to do a little more of :)

Dr. Passler has changed my life.
When i moved to New York from San Francisco, I gained a ton of weight. My lifestyle had changed — I spent more time behind a desk, I lived on takeout and I was always tired. After seeing my boss’s success with Dr. Passler, I thought why not give him a try. Not only has he helped me lose weight, but he’s helped me change the way I look at life. He’s one part nutritionist, one part therapist. I love my appointments with him, even with having to get on the scale.
I’ve never been happier with myself and my body. I really credit the change in me to Dr. Passler and I recommend him to anyone that is looking for a true lifestyle change

When I saw another patient of Dr. Passler’s last year at SXSW I noticed her glowing. She looked amazing and I HAD to ask her what she was doing. The answer: Dr. Passler. The raves and compliments of how he had helped her not only lose some LBs but also generally improve how she felt (sleep! who knew!) was enough for me to call and make an appointment.
Fast forward to one year later and me being a consistent patient, I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’ve lost over 25 lbs, but moe importantly — I’ve become healthier and have made health a key point in my lifestyle —all thanks to that first meeting. Just this week he showed me my health graph and it’s like I am an entirely new person. I sleep more. I keep my life in check and have followed Dr. Passler’s value statements — something I think is what has kept me on track for so long. Sure people can diet and lose lbs, but having a mantra stated at the beginning when you first meet him has stuck with me and keeps me focused.
I’ve passed him on to many friends who have had same reactions and also used him to address allergies or just overall «feeling better» needs.
If you’re looking to change your life and work with someone who cares about you and how you do but also keeps you in line so you make it part of your life, call Dr. Passler.

Clearly, Dr. Passler — and he’s actually a chiropractor, not a licensed, board-​certified M.D. — might work wonders for many people, but didn’t at ALL for me. He gives you a lecture about making eating choices based on values: if I asked you to go downstairs and smoke with me, you’d easily say no, because you value healthy, cancer-​free lungs and not smoking. On the other hand, until you can value being thin, at a healthy weight, and looking fabulous MORE than you value the payoff you get from a cheeseburger, you’re gonna have weight issues. Every eating choice you make is a vote for the things you value. (There! I saved you $ 500!) He doesn’t have any twists or supplemental info for the spiel if you get it quickly (I did after the first illustration, and was like, ok next topic — and there wasn’t one; he said «you have to stay with me here» and didn’t vary from the script). His staff is lacking in manners, which I could have overlooked since so many office staffers are these days, but the whole set up seems to be geared to get you to come back in and spend more $$$$. Quickly. And little else. (Okay, yes, that’s what business is about, but I ask for more personalized, genuinely-​interested-​in-​me-​service to drop the dollars you have to with him — it’s an expensive operation.) To me, he was a COLOSSAL waste of time and money — you’d probably do better at Weight Watchers.

Dr. Passler has transformed my life and those of everyone I know who I have referred him. I went to him after seeing countless doctors who could not figure out the cause of my severe allergic reactions that came without warning or any reason — –these doctors put me on so many meds it was insane and i had to take them every few hours and they were toxic to boot. I was lethargic and tired and living in fear. Dr. Passler changed all of that and within months i was off all allergy meds and steroids and living a healthy lifestyle. I have never been healthier, more energized, more fit before and I credit it all with Dr. Passler. Weight loss? Check. Energy? Check. Nutrition and health? check.

I am the «friend» referred to in one of these reviews and as someone who has seen Dr. Passler for two years, I have to say that this particular reviewer is very inaccurate about her feedback for the doctor who she only saw once or twice. Dr. Passler treats his patients with care, consideration, and respect. I came to Dr. Passler after years of suffering stomach aches, fatique, and illness and through discovering my food allergies with Dr. Passler all of these symptoms have vanished! Dr. Passler is the only nutritionist with the ability to also help me lose a significant amount of weight and help me maintain that, while not feeling deprived. My quality of life is so much better for all of this. Dr. Passler is not only NOT taking advantage of people, he is extremely generous, as his ultimate goal is to help people live and feel their best! He helped me with financial barriers, especially while I was a student in graduate school and he offered me a sliding fee scale. Even when I protested he insisted, stating that if it would «help» me, it would help others. This is no selfish individual. He has a positive energy and that is passed on to his clients and he knows his field well. Dr. Passler is a dedicated individual who is totally in this field to help. Overall from working with him I lead a better, happier, more productive and healthier life. I would definitely recommend him!!!

I had gastrointestinal issues and made an appointment with Passler on a colleague’s recommendation. Dr. Passler took one look at my puffy eyes and told me I had a gluten allergy, but when I asked him about testing for celiac’s disease he rejected the notion in favor of his plan.
He put me on a diet of green non-​starchy vegetables along with a regiment of nutritional products that he sold to me at a high price. I began his recommended diet and started to feel less bloated, but extremely weak within a few days. I called and emailed his office for help but didn’t get a phone call back from Dr. Passler until a full day later. It seemed he was too busy to respond or have his assistant respond. Meanwhile, I was unable to function properly or get through my day without feeling like I was going to keel over/​kill someone/​jump off a bridge. It was scary and I felt vulnerable. I expect to be taken care of by my physician. Instead I felt like an after thought.
Luckily, the person who recommended him was able to advise me. When Passler finally called me back, I told him that I had been eating brown rice on my colleague’s recommendation and that I was feeling much better. Instead of apologizing for his delayed phone call or expressing relief that I was feeling better, he laughed and mockingly referred to my colleague as «Dr.» for having «prescribed» me brown rice. I felt annoyed at his lack of compassion and frustrated by his lack of professionalism.
I later found out that in order to test for celiac’s disease, you need to be eating gluten so that the test can detect the antibodies you’re producing. Because Passler dismissed my inquiry about the celiac test and instructed me to stop eating gluten, I couldn’t take the test. A registered dietician told me I would have to start eating gluten again for a month, risking sickness, in order to test for celiac’s disease. She emphasized that celiac is incredibly serious and should have been tested for immediately.
It seems to me that Charles Passler was more interested in making money off of me then helping me go through the proper steps to understand what was going on with my body. While his diet did help me feel better at first, he didn’t prep me for how weak I might feel or inform me that I might experience symptoms of withdrawal from sugar and caffeine. He failed to refer me out to a medical doctor for a celiac test, presumably because he feared losing my business. To me, that’s pretty damn unethical.
He also doesn’t bill for nutrition. He bills for chiropractics and has his nutrition patients lie and sign the bill for a fraudulent procedure. I admit I went along with it, but looking back I realize that this guy’s fuzzy boundaries are indicative of a bigger issue. He is willing to cut corners and take advantage of anyone and everyone.
Bottom line: This guy is a quack, a con artist and a generally douchey dude. Steer clear.
