So-so experience. Beers are pretty good. Paulaner is a large German Brewer so even though the beer is made at this brewpub is pretty similar to the stuff they make in Germany(and you can buy elsewhere). But they do make a few unique ones. Service at the bar, on a slow night, was not great. Took forever to get a beer sampler and then my food arrived cold and the bartender never gave me silverware. He was a bit too busy chatting with regulars. He did offer me a free beer and apologized when I told him the food was cold. And the«paulaner» sausage was disappointing. Supposed to have cheddar in it but only a tiny little bit.

Schweinshax’n and beer!!! Great atmosphere, food, drink… Bravo! We’ll be back. The people working here are friendly and checked on us often. We all recommend going here for the schweinshax’n, the schnitzel, the sausage, and of course the beer!

I love German restaurants and at every opportunity I like to explore new ones. Well, this one had 5 star ambiance, 5 star drinks but food was not as good as other places. Food was very decent but I had better ones. That is the only reason I do not rate this place as 5 stars. Other than that everything else was fantastic

I walked into this place with the intent to grab a beer while I waited for a table at another restaurant to open up, but ended up staying here with friends and ordering food. So glad we stayed! The beer comes in a couple of different sizes, and one of my friends ordered a flight to start — smart move. For food, I ordered the veal sausage, which comes to you boiled in a large white pot with water. The dish also comes with a large pretzel and I ordered a side of sauerkraut. The sausage was cooked perfectly and was herby and light. The pretzel is huge and I recommend sharing with friends. We’re planned to order a pear dessert, but ended up eying distracted by our large beers. I guess we’ll have to come back again!

Yes and yes! It’s so hard to find a beer hall in the downtown area. At least one without all the pretension and boat shoes. This place is so great. During happy hour everything is half off which means you can get a liter of beer for about 8 bucks! Yes, you heard that correctly! The inside is beautiful and the beer is always great.

I have spent far more meals here than I would like to admit based off my star rating. I guess cause it is huge and in Manhattan and rarely full so my friends like to reserve it for larger group dinners. Food is meh(even for German food).the beer cheese is downright unappetizing(and I LOVE beer cheese), the sausages are hit or miss(some are just fine, others are just not tasty), the brawt burger that I got wasn’t actually made with a brawt and didn’t taste good. On top of all that, the food is quite pricey — sausages are ~$ 15 whereas actual entrees like schnitzel(neither that good nor that big) are $ 25+. The beer is brewed on site which is a nice plus and it comes in festive sizes like litres and boots. it is good beer but nothing spectacular. That alone isn’t enough to drag me back to this place.

Great place to hang out with friends and drink beers! The food is great, wide array of sausages and the pretzels are so good! My favorite sausage was the one with the cheese. They have a nice bar where you can sit at as well as alot of tables and can accommodate big groups. We will be be back!

Love this place! Not sure why they don’t have more stars as it is deserved!!! Authentic Bavarian/Munich food and beer! We discovered this gem after returning from our Germany trip and was craving some serious Weisswurst and Weissbier, we found our refuge at Paulaner! Their dark and light beer are all delicious and tastes just like it does in the Munich Paulaner. Every time we go we always get the Weisswurst, which they make in the restaurant. It is always tender and flavorful; a pro tip when eating the Weisswurst is to cut the sausage skin/casing off and enjoy the sausage in all its juicy and gender glory without chewy casing. Their cucumber salad, spätzle, and potato pancakes are all delicious and you can’t go wrong! The fried knuckle is so traditional and Bavarian that it is a must try(at least once) but be sure to share with friends as it is huge. The outside skin is super crispy like a fatty delicious fresh pork rink while the inside meat is super tender and meaty, a must have! The atmosphere is chill and the place is huge! If you are looking for quiet dinner before the beer crowd comes in then just come a little earlier.

Got there at noon on a Sunday. Completely dead, which I actually prefer. Sausage sampler was tasty, but I could just tell that the obatzda had been made the day before(or even earlier) and refrigerated, as it was hard and cold. Hard and cold is how I like my characters in Reservoir Dogs, not my buttery, cheesy German lunch.

They brew their own beer in house, according to the German Purity Law, by a German brewmaster(from around Munich) and it’s Delicious! The somewhat(perhaps) surprising factor here is the chef– he makes everything from scratch and is an amazing chef. He trained at one of the very best restaurants in Munich(Tantris) — just try his homemade sorbet(it’s what I recall most about my one and only experience at Tantris many years ago. House made bread, bratwurst(none of that weird stuff in it), true German potato salad, Obatzda(yummmmm!). Great atmosphere and plenty of room for groups, parties, but still cozy and warm. Service is efficient and friendly too.

If you like German beer and believe in the purity law which Paulaner upholds, then this place is for you. My friend and I visited in an early afternoon, so it wasn’t that busy. The bar is large with a lot of rustic looking wooden tables which are good for groups. They manufacture most of the beers on site and carry most of their line — the large brewing vats are part of the décor. The waitresses dress as German barmaids, so that’s cool. I love the beer, so my review is skewed towards the brew. You can order a beer flight where you can try about 5 different brews(about 3.5 oz each). I also happened to try the white sausage and pretzel and i thought they were meh. Although the bartender said the cook is straight from Austria, so there’s that. Nice bar. Definitely would come back.

A nice beer garden feel. Plenty of space for huge parties. Only except the place was kinda empty, especially on a Friday night. I can’t comment too much about the food since I only had a drinks. $ 5 small beers which were pretty much the average 16 oz glass(felt that way at least). Or you can opt for the medium or large. Crowd is decent and the place is wide open. Not a bad place for big events.
