An outstanding neighborhood restaurant. The menu is just a bit short but everything we ordered was well prepared, tasty and moderately priced. The pastas are uniformly excellent and the meatballs perfect.

I really enjoyed my experience at Pescatore. The restaurant itself has a cute ambiance. The service was good and the salmon was delicious and beautifully prepared. Main dishes are approximately $ 25 each. They have outdoor and indoor seating available.

I liked salad. but that’s all. Food(pasta with shrimp,) is strange, like in diner, wine. hmmm, okay, but for this food the price is not nice. Our waiter was’nt friendly also.

Pretty sure this place is stuck in the 80s. The décor? 80s. The music? I love the 80s threw up all over this joint. I made a reservation here for lunch on a Sunday. From the outside it looks pretty small. Inside it goes pretty far back, kind of narrow, but with plenty of seating. There is also a bar area with comfy bar stools if that’s more your thing. We were given menus at 1:15PM. They said brunch was still taking place and to use the dinner, not the lunch, menu. Odd since it was technically brunch hours but certainly not dinner hours. They seemed to have a great cocktail and wine list but the beer selection is severely lacking. My Diet Coke was almost all seltzer water and I had to ask my waitress more than once for a refill. I had an entrée off the dinner menu. Chicken with fingerling potatoes. The chicken was cooked well but overly seasoned(which I didn’t think was possible until I dined here). The potatoes were the best part, along with the white wine sauce they use. Our waitress was nice enough but didn’t check on us and would turn a blind eye to our table whenever we actually needed something. The bus boy ended up taking our next drink order since the waitress was busy chatting with another waitress by the POS system. Also I noticed around 2PM, people were ordering off the lunch menu and getting these amazing looking sandwiches. Not sure why lunch would begin at 2 when you were handing out the dinner menu at 1. The price for 2 entrees, 2 beers, and 2 sodas? $ 94 without tip. A bit steep considering the chicken was also pretty bony and our waitress couldn’t give two shits about our table.

I don’t know how this could have such a low rating. This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in New York in terms of food, atmosphere and service. I’ll start off with food. Now, the first time I went with someone who hates pizza. But when we walked in and we were going to order something, she told me that this was the only place she would ever order pizza. When it came, it came as this flat bread-y kind of pizza. I took a bite and, by god, I was in heaven. The crust is perfectly crispy and crunchy while you have a sauce that is bursting with flavour and spices. It doesn’t taste like normal tomato sauce, it tastes like they actually put effort into seasoning it. We went for two other appetizers, their meatballs and their PEI mussels. As a Canadian, the mussels were delicious and sauced well. The meat wasn’t tough at all, it was soft and chewy and easy to get out of the shell. The meatballs were delicious, soft meat — you could tell it had been simmered well. My only complaint is that it only came with two meatballs for $ 8, so it is a bit pricy. My second time there, I ordered an alfredo with crab meat pasta. It was done italian style. I could see the oil off the plate which meant that it was made creamy and made to be filling. And boy was it. It went so well with the crispy fresh bread they sliced for us, paired with an olive oil with ACTUAL olives in it. I had no idea what I wanted to drink so the bartender just whipped me up whatever concoction. He did it with a smile and I could see him tasting it every once in a while to make sure that it wasn’t something disgusting. The servers were very friendly, genuine about treating you well and giving you a great time. The atmosphere was nice, tranquil, fancy but laidback. There were people from all walks of life inside the restaurant, some were on a date, others were watching the soccer game on their TV. There was a bit of everything.

My boyfriend just moved to the area so we were exploring different restaurants and decided to try this for brunch. We sat outside and I ordered the rosemary lemon chicken sandwich and he ordered the mozzarella sandwich. You can pick a salad or «fries» to come with the meal. We both ordered the«fries» and the waitress told us they were actually chopped potatoes but we still decided to try them. The potatoes tasted stale and were mixed with a tomato sauce or something. We both barely ate the potatoes and the sandwiches tasted very plain and basic. The service was so slow and could have been because we were sitting outside but I had to go inside multiple times to ask for more coffee and other items. Although it is very close to my boyfriend’s place we will not be returning to this place.

First, before I complain, I wish to point out that the Manager in charge, Kristina, worked her butt off to try to make this work. The owner, Charles, who was supposed to oversee our party, was called away for a family funeral, and our party got dumped on Kristina. All arrangements were made solely with Charles far in advance, and follow up occurred regularly. I live in Arizona, so I was unable to see the venue myself, but I trusted that Charles was honest with me when I asked if our party could be accommodated. He said yes, but the honest answer would have been NOWAY. Our party was a family reunion that we initially expected to include about 45 people. But over time it grew into a total turnout of 83 people who attended from all over the world — Australia, England, Canada, France, Israel, and US states from coast to coast. Charles assured me that the restaurant could accommodate our party, even at its largest point, and this was when I was estimating 90 people, but because of the larger size, he said we had to do buffet style instead of sit-down. I had no problem with this as Charles assured me that food quality would not be sacrificed. I selected 2 salads, 3 main courses and a dessert and we agreed upon a price for each attendee, with an additional cash bar. Charles said the restaurant would be for our party alone because of its size, and that it would be shut down to other diners. This turned out to be a false promise and made accounting a complete nightmare for me. I also told Charles that there was a good chance that a documentary filmmaker would be present to film a movie. The filmmaker did show up, and their efforts were challenged to say the least because the venue was not conducive to such a thing, mostly because of the very small size of the area we were crammed into. The film will be completed, but the restaurant will not appear well to the viewers, that is for sure. When I showed up, and I showed up an hour early, I was horrified. The place was tiny. I really mean TINY. There was barely any seating and the 2 stations set up for food were very small. Many of our party were elderly, and there was no place for some of them to sit. The restaurant became like Disneyworld on a school holiday. You could not move it was so crowded. The music was loud, the room was so dark that it felt like being in an Abercrombie store, which is NOT tolerable by most people over the age of 30, and over 30 comprised about 90% of the people in attendance. The upstairs remained open for regular diners, and we could have really, really, really used that space. Had we been able to expand to the upstairs, so much discomfort and stress would have been alleviated. But this was denied to us because Charles had left with instructions that the main floor was what we were to be given. The outside seating was also used for regular diners, which compromised our ability to monitor strangers from partaking in our party. Keeping those people out was most of the problem, but worse was securing any of the outside tables for our own overflow, or the overstimulated children in attendance who were stressed from the intolerable noise of 80 people shouting over the music, and the sardine can space our group was restricted to. People who were already dining or drinking at the bar when our party began were not asked to leave, so for quite a long time we had strangers lurking about among our own guests. The food was horrible, horrible, horrible, and there was not enough. No one at the restaurant monitored the food so we were constantly running out, and there was almost never any utensils, plates or napkins. I understand that Kristina was finding tables with many unused forks on it, which indicates that people were taking forks and then not using them, but someone should have been watching, and it should not have had to be me constantly receiving complaints about the insufficiency and then running around asking for help. I went to get a plate of food for myself 3X, and there was never any left except for the salmon so undercooked it was raw, and by the time I did get a small plate, the food was all cold. One of the salads I’d ordered, the mozzarella salad, ran out even before all of the guests arrived, and it was never replenished. As I mentioned, the Salmon Livornese was RAW. It was absolutely disgusting and guests kept pulling me over to show me. Kristina tried to make it right with 2 of my cousins who complained to her, but they were so grossed out they declined. The chicken was rubber, and the penne vodka was dry & flavorless. Barely half of the guests received dessert which was cheesecake. As far as I could tell, the bartenders were working very hard, and the drinks were all satisfactory. They were extremely friendly and so was the single server assigned to take care of our party. She was so overworked that I had to go to the hostess a couple of times for help, and she was very responsive.

A great menu selection and a very relaxed atmosphere makes this place great for dates. However, during special occasions such as cinco de mayo, the place turns it up several notches with a fun atmosphere and great drink specials. The bartender is also a very gregarious guy who pays attention to your needs andales great conversation if that’s what you’re seeking. If not, he keeps things chill and makes sure you’re getting the best version of whatever you’re ordering. Fantastic place and I’m definitely going to be visiting them whenever I’m in the neighborhood.

The old chef won chopped and chopped superstars. Since his departure the place has drastically changed but still remains one of my favorite places to have a quick meal before a night out.

We have been neighborhood patrons/regulars over the past few years. It seems that the management/ownership changed some months back and I believe that some of their dishes are now seriously lacking. –For example, the Caprino Pizzetta(goat cheese, caramelized onions, spicy coppa & fig marmalade) — it seems they’ve substituted the«spicy coppa» with the same ham being used as the«pancetta» in the Spaghettini Carbonara. The flat bread seemed to be frozen fresh. The fig marmalade seemed to be genetic store bought/lack luster, the caramelized onions seems to be more of sauté/grilled onions. This dish was one of my absolute favorites there and inspired a burger off lamb burger that is award winning. The Spaghettini Carbonara was just lack luster & bland. I needed to heavily pepper & salt it. The pancetta seemed to be more of sliced Serrano ham than pancetta. The Orecchiette Foresta had was the same lack luster & bland experience. I also unfortunately believe that the unused bread from the bread and olives/olive oil they give you when you sit down may be recycled and given to new patrons that come in. Hopefully, it’s not true and that they’re giving it to the homeless or the alike. Please don’t cut corners to save on cost! Please prepare your dishes as they were once before!!! Also, we witnessed one of the servers carry cocktails with their thumb & fingers actually in the glasses that they were carrying. Please take the time not to yell at your staff but, to better train them on how to hold/carry/serve plates and beverages. Looking forward to some hopeful improvements!!!

Great service — great food. Love the remodeled dining room downstairs. Hosted our wedding dinner upstairs last November. Received above and beyond service for private dining. Been a customer for over a decade and will continue to be. Only downside is that they’re off OpenTable, which cuts into my points accumulation.

Love Italian and love seafood= love Pescatore. I enjoy sitting at the bar, the red wines are great, the service is good and the pasta are phenomenal. my friend ordered the flat margarita pizza and its the only thing I didn’t like– the tomato base in my opinion was too sweet. Other than that– I love this spot, its cute, not too loud, not dingy at all, and always full

I had the branzino with a salad. The portion of fish was very small and the tomato and olive infused grain it was served on was original but not spectacular. The fish was too oily and seemed fried and just not very healthy or flavorful. It came with a salad, which was also okay but nothing special. I am a light eater and still came out hungry. The price point was as expected for the area. I think the steak and fries are probably better than the fish as that’s what my friend had and it looked much more appealing than my order. This place takes credit cards, which is a plus. Service was relatively fast and friendly. The bread was fresh. I will give this place one more chance and try the steak next time.

I am so impressed. The service is incredible and the happy hour is a must. So happy with our experience. The staff was beyond attentive and our bartender, Bojan, made a customized drink based off our preferences. The atmosphere is very relaxing yet upbeat at the same time. They treat every customer like they matter and truly understand how to run an establishment. Again, beyond impressed.

I was reading the reviews while waiting for my pasta, and I was kinda worried didn’t expect much since many of the reviews said that their food is just okay. But it came out that their pescatore was delicious. It has a lot of seafood in it and the sauce was very good. I will come back for the pasta again and want to try their sandwich too.

A 2nd avenue staple for locals. The food is always good. The service is prompt. The prices are also just right. Crowd tends to be a bit older, but I really don’t mind considering everything this restaurant has going for it. Weekend brunch is a steal. You get a large portion of food + coffee + mimosa or Bloody Mary. Sit at the bar or high top tables and get three appetizers for their special pricing!(I recommend the risotto balls and mussels.)

I was delighted to find a nice restaurant that also delivers. I’m in town for business with no time to get out so it was awesome to get something other than your typical take out. The person who took my order was pleasant and delivery was fast. I chose this place because I had never had black linguine and wanted to try. It was good but not as flavorful as I had hoped for a spicy sauce. The roasted cauliflower had great flavor but was kind of soft, this could be from the steam in the to go container. If it were crunchier it would have been great.

So this review is long overdue. I came here for dinner on a Friday night with my boyfriend. We got there before the dinner rush so the place was pretty empty. After placing our order, we figured we would get our food at a reasonable time, boy were we wrong. We waited at least 40 minutes just for the appetizer. Keep in mind the place was not at all busy with patrons. When they finally brought out our main courses, they gave my boyfriend the wrong pasta. So we returned the dish and waited even longer for the right one. We only got an apology. We thought the least they would do was offer a complimentary dessert after having waited for nearly an hour just for two pastas; nope. Now to the quality of the meals. The pasta tasted store bought directly from a box and the sauce was lacking flavor. My meal was slightly more bearable but nothing to rave about. Conclusion? We are never going back nor will we recommend this place.

Fun dinner! I had a pleasant dinner at this edgy restaurant. It is very lively and friendly on a busy street. The menu has interesting combinations of food. The staff is friendly… Not sure I would come back again and again…
