I saw the reviews and decided to check it out. So glad I did! Lots of high-​quality cat food. Some prices were as good or better than the pet megamarts.
The staff was very helpful. I saw them assist dog owners with finding the correct harness & best treat size, while still checking to see if anyone else needed help.
Very bright, clean premises.

Really nice people who seem very happy to be there and who genuinely like pets. They have my brand (Natural Balance Cans) and unlike a lot of other stores, they actually have more than the 10 cans on the shelf. They had two cases at my apartment in 45 minutes and didn’t charge me anything, though I did tip. They will also store your credit card so next time I can just call for a delivery.
Good quality food and treat brands, lots of organics, real meat, etc.

Friendly staff always helpful with recommendations, and get me the products down I can’t reach and have samples at the cash register for our girls. Theres a loyalty/​reward card too which is nice since dog food bags add up quickly.

I love this place. They carry great brands of dog food, and if they don’t have something in store they will be sure to get it for you! They also offer delivery.

I work near Pet Central and have been stopping by pretty regularly for the past few years. The owner (although he overshares!) is super friendly and actually remembers the brand and flavor food I buy. If I walk in and they are out of stock, he immediately apologizes and orders it delivered the next day. Pretty much the same prices as anywhere else. Awesome service and, like somebody mentions below, there’s sometimes big fat cats lounging around. What’s not to love?

Pet Central has everything you need for a dog or cat. The large variety of high end dog food they carry is great. I buy Taste of the Wild dog food and a 30 pound bag is cheaper then anyplace else in the city by $ 10 bucks. Pet Central also offers free delivery as well.
All the employees are very helpful. If you want to feed your dog good food and pick up a toy or two, this is the place.

I live nowhere near the West Village but I always make it a point when I’m in the area to stop by. I think one of the novelties are the big kitties who lounge around in the store. Sometimes they are out, sometimes not, but they are lovable, fat, city cats who enjoy feasting on city rodents too much (according to their owner). If I purchase anything, it’s usually a toy or fancy treat that my cats will play with or ignore (my one cat can do without treats, which is funny since he is the one who enjoys eating the most). I see they have good cat trees too — I need to invest in one soon, and this may be the place (I think they deliver, which would be super helpful rather than me try to get it back to my apt).

I’m with all the other reviews on this one. Great pet supplies store, small and quaint, friendly owner and they have FREE DELIVERY! I just call them up and tell them my order and 30mins later they arrive at my door. Awesome!

Is it the fanciest pet supply store I’ve ever been in? Nah, but it doesn’t need to be.
It’s a small, tightly-​packed store with all of the top quality products that I need for my dog. They have a great selection of the best foods and treats and the manager/​shopkeeper dude is always very courteous and helpful if you need it.
A big plus for their anti-​puppy mill sign on the front door too!

Not only is the owner incredibly friendly, he is also really knowledgeable on everything from pet food to what toys are best for a small puppy. He is a genuinely helpful and kind person both to myself and my little pup. This will definitely be my go-​to pet shop from now on.

Just moved to ny from la and recently got a new puppy. Popped in to this place and they had a good selection of toys, treats and other goodies for our little girl. The guy was super nice and offered suggestions for some items I needed without being pushy or anything. My wife and I will definitely be going back for more supplies.

Pet Central is a great little neighborhood pet supply store. The people who run it genuinely care about animals and it shows. They carry high-​quality brands like Evo Grain Free that you can’t find at giant stores like PetCo. I buy all my pet supplies here and the prices are reasonable. The staff are super-​nice and friendly and the store cats are an added bonus for cat lovers :) When I was on crutches, I used their delivery service which was prompt and courteous. I love PetCentral!

This little store packs a big punch on great customer service and the selection of supplies in-​stock. Sometimes they call the other stores if they don’t have the specific brand you need and then deliver them to you in a timely manner. I’ve been going here for over a year and it’s still a pleasure doing business with Luis, the store manager, and Carlos, the delivery person. Ordering supplies over the phone is super easy since they have my credit card on file along with the history of items I’ve purchased. They make living in a 5th floor walk-​up easier. As long as I’m living in the neighborhood, I plan to keep going to these guys.

It’s a little beat up looking, but this is a great pet store. I’ve got two cats and I’ve found that Pet Central has a great selection of brands. The delivery service makes it so convenient and the service is quite good. Highly recommend this place.
