I came here last Friday after eating a delicious chicken banh mi sandwich from Banh Mi Saigon for dessert. I ordered the Hudson Valley Apple Pie and the Wild Maine Blueberry Pie(each was $ 5 a slice). Both pie slices were pretty good. Though the pies were heated, it wasn’t hot enough for me(I bet it would have tasted amazing if it was hot). The apple pie filling was not too sweet and you can taste the freshness of the apples. The only problem with the apple pie for me was the crust, it was extremely dense and dry. I had a pretty hard time chewing, being afraid to choke on it. The blueberry pie was my personal favorite. It did not taste heavy nor was it too sweet for me. This time I had the crust mix in with the filling to balance out the textures. I was very curious about their chess pies, so I ordered a salty chocolate chess pie slice. Turns out it tasted like if pudding was baked in a pie that turned into a hard custard pie. Personally, I was not a fan because it tasted pretty dense and I am not a crazy chocolate lover. However, I highly recommend this flavor for all you chocolate lovers out there. Food: pies EVERYWHERE! The slices of pie I got was pretty good, would probably tasted a lot better extremely hot, and maybe with a scoop of ice cream(totally going to do that the next time I visit) Appearance: pretty homey place, big kitchen, but smaller entrance-way/seating area, has a homey rustic feel to it(when I went it was pretty much empty) Service: friendly service(it was a Friday evening and appeared to be a one person show running the place… she seemed a bit tired) Price:($ 5-$ 6 a slice, depending on the pie),($ 3 if you want it topped with ice cream and $ 1 for their homemade whipped cream topping)

Super tiny place, but their pie isn’t to mess with. I’ve tasted the Lemon Chess and Wild Blueberry, but what keeps me coming back and dreaming for more pie is the Cranberry Apple! The thought of it already makes me want to go back and get some more.

The pies here are delicious! I ordered the pecan pie and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving and my family loved it. The great thing that i love about this place is that you can order online and then just pick it up.

Absolutely delicious! I came here for a first date who ended up bailing with a legitimate reason, and there are no hard feelings at all, mostly because I still got myself an amazing slice of pie! I’m a sucker for dessert, and the fact that there is a place that specializes in pie really just makes my life that much better. I had the coconut custard pie, which was so delicious, I was literally scraping my plate. Alone. No shame. The only thing is that there’s not a lot of seating, just a small window bar-like tabletop with some stools. However, it’s worth standing for. I can’t wait to go back and try another flavor. If you like pie, you’ll love Petee’s!

Everyone is so friendly here! The pies were good, we had a cherry pie, banana pie and pecan pie. The pies were 6 – 7 dollars each which are pricey, but pies are the new trend so ppl can charge what they want. The area is nice being on the border of chinatown. the place is real small with 4 chairs against the window to see the traffic outside. They also sell gift packs of a pie pan, pie cutter and offer to bake your pie in them! I would go back

I love pie! So does NY these days, from Four & Twenty Blackbirds to Blue Stove to the lovely seasonal pies at Brooklyn Larder. A lot, of great pies in Brooklyn. Now there’s Petee’s on the LES. These are straightforward homemade pies– less fancy than Four and Twenty and a small space unlike the large retro Blue Stove. The pie here is no less delicious. I went with the Pony Pie-$ 6 Kind of like a chocolate pecan with all chocolate filling on a buttery crust. More pie, please!

With Thanksgiving being just around the corner, I’d been thinking about pie a lot. I’ve made my own, which have luckily turned out great, but, they can be a lot of work, so, I like to just enjoy the ones that other bakers are making. So, I was off to the Lower East Side to check out Petee’s Pie Company. Most places make a big fuss about décor and«stuff», but here the focus and décor is really simply the racks of pies right there on display, made fresh daily. They make their pies using seasonal local produce, natural fair-trade sweeteners, crust made with organic flour and grass-fed butter from New York State, and even offer gluten-free and vegan options. Everything looked awesome, but I narrowed it down to two slices. First, I had the Maple Whiskey Walnut. This pie was incredible. Like, some of the best I’ve had. The crust is buttery, almost a bit savory, and totally melts in your mouth. The center of the pie is almost custard like in texture, rich, with a hint of whiskey at the very end. Topped with a candied walnut crust, it’s seriously hard to find anything wrong with this pie(aside from the fact that I didn’t get a whole one and only a slice). Then, I also got the Crumb Spiced Asian Pear. Another slam dunk Petee’s, well done. Again, the crust here is the same, and equally delicious. The crumble on top is just perfect, it’s buttery, a little crunchy, and also melts in your mouth. The pear is fresh and tender, not too sweet, with flavors of cinnamon and pecan pieces for added texture and crunch. This really was an excellent piece of pie. Again, I’m kicking myself for not getting a whole pie of this flavor. Then again, that would also add more time at the gym. But, it would totally be worth it.
