Physicality By Yulia

I’ve been working out with Yulia consistently for six months and can attest to the amazingness of her style. Her Physicality class is an INCREDIBLE workout — unlike anything else I’ve done — and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get in shape or up their game. In addition to giving you an intense sweat, she also is specific and particular about form, so that you’re maximizing the workout as well as preventing injury. What’s more, she’s always switching things up with every class, so you’ll rarely find that the workouts feel repetitive. Whenever I take her class and walk to work the next day, I feel like I’ve lost an inch.

I’m quite fit — 5’6″, 123 lbs, 13% body fat, excellent VO2 max — and I do very challenging workouts 4 times/​week, so I usually don’t expect much when trying something new. But I really enjoyed this class! I took the mixed cardio/​strength one. It was decent cardio, and the strength portion on the mat was pretty good as well. I’ve been working out at Equinox for the past 2 years, doing one of the most challenging HIIT workouts they offer. I’ve also tried many different pilates/​barre class instructors so I’ve seen countless moves & variations, but Yuliya had some interesting twists on familiar moves that made me feel it in new places (and left me with really sore calves for the following couple days!). Granted, I was sore from a previous workout when I took this class, but I still thought it was better than many others I’ve tried at Equinox (and at a much better price tag…). I’ll probably stick with HIIT for my cardio, but I could definitely see incorporating this into my regimen for extra calorie burn and/​or added challenge — especially the toning portion on the mat. Oh and the music was totally rocking, too! Overall highly recommended!

This lady knows how to kick some ass!
She is truly the best at working with your strengths and your weaknesses to give you the most customized workout. I am always amazed how she is really able to get in there and work muscles you didn’t realize you had. She has one of the most positive and holistic attitudes of anyone I have ever met in fitness.

Yulia is one helluva fierce dancer and has the personality to keep you motivated and entertained throughout your workout.
Try it, you won’t regret it.

Yes, all of the periods are necessary for you to fully understand just how good this workout is. The combination of cardio dance aerobics and pilates based mat work gives you a full body workout! You burn calories, sweat like crazy and best of all you have a great time doing it!

Physicality classes combine everything I love in a workout: FUN, excitement, a true challenge and constant evolution. Yulia has a way to make those muscles burn while keeping a smile on your face with her positive spirit and high energy. I am addicted to her classes!
