Great food, open till late night. I love their buffalo chicken and pepperoni pizza. Their beef pattys inside coco bread is a must have.

After a long day at the Governors Ball music festival, we were starving on the walk back to our hotel from the ferry station. Like an oasis in the desert, Pizza and Pita showed up in the distance. There are not many things better than a slice of pepperoni pizza after a day full of dancing and jamming to the likes of De La Soul and The Killers. We walked in and the shop was mobbed, but the manager/owner moved things along quickly and efficiently. Although the pizza is not even close to the best I ever tasted, it was still delicious and hit the spot. Very limited seating and they take credit cards over $ 5.

For a late-night spot, pizza and pita was really awesome. At 3:00am I just so happened to be hungry and stumbled across this place. Walked in and was greeted by two smiling gentlemen. I ordered a chicken salad which they threw on the mini grill and a slice of fresh buffalo pepperoni pizza. Both were very tasty. Good pricing, good greasy food, great service.

There have been some improvements. Sometimes it is 100% and worth five stars and sometimes its worth one start, so that is why I am at three stars. I have just ordered pizza, which is pretty good considering these guys are not Italian. And considering the last delivery from here, the cheese ran and pooled on one side of the pie. And it was cold. But sometimes, it is great pizza. And my middle some will eat three slices no matter what. They still insist on giving BBQ Sauce with the falafel, which is disgusting as far as I am concerned. Good hot sauce would be appreciated as would good white sauce. 50% of the time delivery is very fast — 50% of the time it’s very slow.

Very good Halal pizza and friendly owner. Had the all-meat pizza. Turkey is used in place of ham.

I only had a slice of pizza. it was delicious. Tiny restaurant — few tables, crowded with the delivery guys(nearly lunch hour right near NYU) but the counter guy didn’t let me and my lowly slice get lost in the shuffle. I’ll be back. the slice was BIG. Don’t think I’d sit and eat here.

I order from Pizza & Pita at least once a week and have been eating here since I was five-years-old. The garlic knots are greasy, soft and HUGE — just how I like them. And at 3/$ 1 they can serve as a meal if you’re lacking in cash flow. The pizza slices are large, the chicken rolls are fresh and cheesy and the gyro platters are bountiful. Delivery is usually super quick and the food is consistantly tasty. Is this a Zagat worthy eatery and must try if you’re in NYC? No. But is it a great local spot for late night pizza, wings for game night or a chicken roll because you don’t feel like cooking? Yes!

Pricy place with not so great food. I was skeptical and only came here BC my coworker told me their pizza slices are huuuge for the $ 2.50 price. So I tried it. Cheese pizza is okay, nothing special and not as ginormous as my friend made it seem. I decided to get the garlic knots in case one slice didn’t fill me up. The garlic knots were 3 for $ 1 and did not taste good at ALL. They were soggy stale and bland, and oddly slightly sour. I’ve lost my appetite after one garlic knot.

After much deliberation, we decided to take the plunge and order the 70 piece chicken wings. Let me just say, wow. As a buffalo chicken wing connoisseur, I’ve had my fair share of amazing wings and shitty wings. These fall closer to the former and the amenities provided by the fine folks at P&P really put it over the top. This was some dope ass food on the real, will most definitely be our Sunday football wing spot for the coming months. Shout out P&P they puttin Murray Hill on their back

Love the pizza here. The cheese slice is the best in the neighborhood and they are always open.

Stopped here on a late night after Electric Zoo festival and took a pie on the pen station train. It hit the spot perfectly! Great pepperoni and cheese pie! :)

This place is a stone’s throw away from my apartment. I pass by it every time I come home, but to be honest, the food never looked good. One night on a lonely walk home circa 2AM, I see a girl stumble out of this place carrying a slice of buffalo chicken. «How’s the pizza here?» I asked, catching her off guard. «It’s amaaaaazing. Especially the buffalo chicken. You HAVE to get it.» She replied with that extra bit of enthusiasm only dedicated inebriates can muster at this hour. Looking for any reason to find more good eateries within walking distance, I decided to try this place out. I walked in and ordered a buffalo chicken slice and some garlic knots. I walked out pretty stoked to be trying food from this new place, but as soon as I got home and bit into the pizza, I was supremely disappointed. The pizza was stale and the cheese was hard. There was barely any buffalo sauce or chicken on the slice. The garlic knots were also sub par. They had the texture of day old rolls and barely a hint of garlic despite being extremely greasy. They also serve gyros here and I haven’t tried those so hopefully they will be better. For now, I’m giving this place 2 stars purely for its proximity to my residence.

Stay away from the Buffalo Pizza and the Chicken wings. You never get your money’s worth and for some reason I always end up feeling sick after I eat it. Im done with it.

I don’t understand the people raving about this place. I mean there is a reason New York is the pizza capital of the world… but it sure as hell ain’t because of places like Pizza & Pita. It’s a slice. It costs you $ 2.50. You can grab a beef patty, chicken rolls, some garlic knots. There’s some weird gyro/chicken stuff going on in a corner behind the counter which I don’t think anyone orders. I don’t really have any complaints, but this place doesn’t do anything but the bare minimum when it comes to being a pizzeria.

I had 10 beers before I came here, but from what I remember, it was 5 stars. I took the ferry back from Governors Ball and stopped in for a slice of pizza.(Especially since they have an A health grade). I was served so quickly I must have been in and out of here in 41 seconds. As I stumbled home with a hot slice of cheese pizza for $ 2.50(tax included), I was the happiest person, ever. And then lived happily ever after. The end.

I think 3 stars is even a little too much! more like 2.5 This place is DIRTY! I always feel guilty when I go there but it’s so close by and 24 hours and how bad can a slice of pizza be? Right? Wrong. The first time I went I had a falafel and fries– very average and mediocre in taste. The next time I got a slice of the buffalo pizza and the 3 for $ 1 garlic knots, due to some reviews on Unilocal. The buffalo pizza was actually not that bad – not great – but not bad! Don’t waste your time on the garlic knots; all those carbs and not enough flavor, but the price isn’t so bad to try it if u want to, also. The next time I went I wanted the buffalo pizza, but all they had that was close to it was the buffalo AND pepperoni(why that combination?), so I went for it… and moments after consuming it I got sick and threw it up. It was so oily and greasy and just too much to handle! Plus it was late at night so it might have been sitting out for awhile. I told myself I would never go there again… until I had a friend come into town to visit. She really wanted a NY Jamaican beef patty and she requested this the night before she had to leave town. So, I remembered that this place had it and only for $ 2.50. I never had a beef patty before, so I decided to try one also. It was pretty tasty! And I was scared I would get sick but I didn’t. Overall, I don’t think I’d take the risk of going there again. This place is like food Russian roulette!
