This is a great location, though very busy at lunchtime. Weekends it is very quiet. Nice single bathroom in the back. Seating is limited with about 8 tables. I had a turkey and cheese toasted, simple yet delicious.

I ordered delivery from this location for a very important client meeting. This is the closest location to the customers office. I forgot to order drinks so I had my assistant try to call and have it added to the order. She tried to reach them for an hour and the line rang or went into a greeting message loop so she never reached anyone. I was forced to leave my meeting and go buy drinks for 20 people at a deli downstairs. Terrible customer service and would never order from here again.

Awesome… Get the Italian(Big Size… It’s not that big) Hot Peppers are so good that if one falls on your paper bag while eating you don’t let it go to waste. Great prices. Will definitely eat here again.

Nice Potbelly not far from Bryant Park, with OK staff and your average offerings.

Now that I live on the west coast, without any Potbelly’s, I looked forward to having one of my favorite sandwiches here. While I did have a tasty sandwich, the service was the absolute worst. No one looked up from the counter at any point from when I ordered the sandwich up to dressing it. To make matters worse, I was one of only two people in line so the excuse of it being busy can’t be used. Thankfully, the cashier was polite so I can’t say they’re all in need of customer service training. I like Potbelly, but I’ll choose to go somewhere else where they care I’ve chosen them as the place to eat out of so many others, and care even more that I’ll want to return.

It’s fine, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

After hearing about this amazing sandwich shop from my brother, I was kind of disappointed to walk in and realize the place was a glorified Subways. I didn’t even realize it was a chain until my friend mentioned she had one by her job! It has the same setup as other sandwich shops, where you pick your bread, type of sandwich/meats/cheeses, and toppings. Was it good? Sure. But was it as legit as a real NYC deli? Not in my opinion. All in all would I go again? Maybe, but I’d make sure there are no other mom and pop( Unilocal approved) delis before settling.

Compared to the location on 5th Ave… I was sorely disappointed. From the service to the sandwich I would’ve been better off going to Quiznos.

I’m surprised how good the sandwich was. I got an A-wreck with mushrooms on whole grain bread. I got the big one but half was enough. Begins actually tasted fresh, not like subway or blimpie. Definitely one of the best sandwich franchises I’ve been too. Props to the wait staff that took orders from the long line, by the time I made it to the counter my sandwich was ready. Has seating inside and usually packed during lunch

Note: This review is for delivery only, but I feel it’s important for everyone to know.) Ordered today at 1:20PM. It is now 3:10PM and we just received our food. A phone call at 2:30PM claimed our food would arrive in 10 minutes. Upon receiving our sandwiches, we noticed that the timestamp on the sandwich order was 2:35, meaning our sandwiches were not even started until AFTER we called an hour after our order. If you want your food within an hour or so, I wouldn’t advise this place. Maybe try the melt shop, or someplace with good food and honest service. I miss the Potbellys of DC, where people were honest and nice and made great sandwiches. Instead I get an unhappy house and stale sandwiches and misery. Do you want that in your house? Then order Potbellys.

Basically a Quiznos clone — they do toasted sandwiches. Got the A Wreck on multigrain and it was pretty good. Big size is about a subway foot-long size. Prices for the large sandwich are $ 7 – 8 after tax.

It’s all about the secret menu ;) Apparently, my friend says there’s one that isn’t on this menu called the«Peter Panski» which is a Wreck + Peanut Butter + Bacon + Possible immediate heart attack. Anyways, as a Chicago Native, I was overjoyed to have a potbellys open up near work, and I was equally thrilled when I learned about their secret menu. So thrilled, that I went out and tried a wrecking ball(«a Wreck(ham, turkey, roast beef, and salami), but with meatballs. And Swiss cheese. And mayo. And lettuce. And tomato.») and nearly fell into an immediate food coma afterwards at work, and vowed never to do that again… never… maybe. Anyways, my go to was always the wreck with marinara, meatball, chicken salad or turkey. It is all solid. Basically a step up from quiznos, with better quality ingredients, though they have skimped over the years on quantity, maybe that’s a good thing because we have too many American fatasses(I contribute). My last bit of advice — actually two. I did summer school in Hawaii when I was in college and was introduced to the mac salad and the drink POG(Passion, Orange, and Guava juice) I fell in love with both, and Potbellys has both, with also a small selection of nantucket nectar drinks, which indelibly also reminds me of college. The most important one, though, is that I think potbellys carries the best cookies bang for your buck out there. Places like Levain, City Bakery are great don’t get me wrong. But for $ 1.40(also, this used to be cheaper a few years ago), you can get an AMAZINGCOOKIE(LOUDNOISES). I strongly recommend the oatmeal chocolate chip, it’s a definitely go to staple, but the sugar cookie and dream bar is also great(though the dream bar may also be potentially coma inducing). Now I’m just waiting for Lou Malnati’s to come to NY ;)

This place has a nice selection of sandwiches and other lunch items. My personal favorite selections are the PB&J sandwich, Meatball Sandwich, Chicken Salad, and the Dream Bar. But my all time favorite thing is the Oreo Malt Shake! I order from this place via seamless almost every other week. The delivery is quick usually 20−25mins

Nothing special honestly. The sandwiches are fairly small, but at least the quality is above Subway or Quiznos. I’ve tried most of the menu, and have moved on to the secret menu items(such as the Fireball pictured here — Meatball, Chili, Cheese, Hot Peppers and choice of toppings). In general though, this is still just mediocre, chain food in an awful part of Midtown West. Stick with Xi’an Famous Foods across the street.

I would normally not write a review a review for a fast-casual place. I also happen to be a shareholder of PBPB so I am doubly disappointed in this Potbelly’s location. My two complaints: 1. There is only one sandwich size! Sorry but the smaller sandwich just doesn’t do the job for me. I was honestly dismayed when I couldn’t order a bigger sandwich. 2. This is on a more personal level; I ordered a chicken and cheddar and as it came out of the oven, the lady who pulled it literally dropped half the sandwich off on the floor, looked at me and continued making my sandwich. I was so in shock that she didn’t remake my sandwich that I just let her do it and now I am here on Unilocal writing a stupid review for an assembly line sandwich shop. Anyways I love Potbelly’s, just was not happy with this one.

I think I’ve made it clear that I’m a fan of Potbelly’s since it’s one of the few Chicago imports that’s still pretty faithful to the original. I’ve been to a bunch of other locations in the city and they all have the friendly, chatty staff, the little tubs of potato and macaroni salads and the ‘secret menu.’ Well, at least this Potbelly’s still has the tubs of salads. There was a group of three being talked to by someone there about-what seemed like a catering order, I wasn’t sure since no one paid me any attention. Finally, someone came up to the bread station and asked what I wanted. I was going to order a Sicilian which is a secret menu item and was about to tell him what goes in it(sometimes they don’t know but they’re willing to make it) when I got abruptly cut off«We don’t do that here.» Well, okay then but that’s a pretty shitty way of telling me. So I get my sandwich and decide to get a cup of soup which apparently was an ordeal for him too. So, the lady and I decided to stay put and eat and the three employees basically acted as though we weren’t there. Yelling at each other, blasting music, dancing and I found out more than I needed to about their personal lives. Thankfully, there are other Potbelly’s out there to go to besides this one.

My experience here was extremely disappointing today. When this location first opened, service was great and it felt exactly like the Potbelly’s in Chicago, quaint and cheerful with excellent service and excellent sandwiches. I walked in to find the majority of the staff gossiping and dancing in the dining area. There were two people behind the counter also gossiping and barely paying attention to the customer. When I ordered my sandwich it felt like I was bothering them and interrupting their loud and apparently hilarious gossip session. My toppings were wrong even though i repeated them twice and the person who made the sandwich had to scream over to another girl to get to the register and charge me. There were only two other customers sitting at the restaurant and I was the only one in line. That didn’t surprise me at all. I’m guessing their only busy time is a short lunch period.

I’m a Potbelly pig when it comes to the roast beef sandwiches(with everything of course!) here. Take that Subway! Meet your grown up and hotter sandwich shop cousin! The sandwiches are 5 bucks!!! And did I mention they are good?! And I don’t know if this is by design but it seems that whenever I happen to be extremely hungry, I run right into a Potbelly! Thank you for the convenient locations scattered throughout the city and in my borough! The stag are super friendly too!

How can something so simple be SO good?!? I’ve been meaning to try out this place because I’ve overheard colleagues of mine gushing about the grub here. I strolled in around lunch-time rush hour and was shocked to see that there was barely a line! Was this the great place I’ve heard about? Why aren’t there more people here? I got in line and tried to not look like a total noob while browsing the menu. An employee came by with a tray of sandwich bites and offered us one(grilled chicken with cheddar). DELICIOUS. Yes, that’s what I want for lunch! Love the skinny bread options and the spicy peppers are SO good! My sandwich was perfectly warm and toasty, and just enough to fill me without feeling like I had to roll myself down the street back to the office. I think I’ve found my regular spot! :)

When I was in college in WI, we loved loved loved potbelly sandwiches! I mean they are so good! Then I move out here and I didn’t see any potbelly. Finally, this location open up, on the same block as my office(SAYWHAT!!!). It took me a couple of months before I finally have the time to get my fixed. I came here this week(first time since 2006), and I ended up coming here twice this week. Turkey sandwich with all the fixing for $ 6bucks is amazing! The line«looks» long, but, as you walk up, a person will take your order on a little pad thing and by the time you get to the counter, you are almost good to go after you customize your toppings. Out the door you go for some really good sandwich!
