Pranzo is like your typical«old school» neighborhood NYC style pizzeria. There is nothing fancy about this place other than their mushroom, chicken and vodka sauce pizza slices. This pizzeria is a good alternate choice if you want a quick lunch and you’re not in the mood for street meat, a sandwich, Chipotle or Yips.

I usually go with their daily special or meatballs. I like to have them over their steamed veggies with marinara sauce. I like their sausage pizza. The food is good and cheap for lower Manhattan. There’s enough seats, although it’s chilly in the winter due to the number of people coming in and out. I’ve been coming for many years. Today I had the fried calamari, which I think they only have on Fridays. They only come in large size, but $ 8.71(including tax) for fried calamari and veggies is a great price.

I ordered a veal parm hero from Pranzo [ and they asked for another $ 1.60 from me at the restaurant, despite my already paying in full w/my credit card(registered w/seamless). They said it was Seamless’ fault their prices weren’t updated. Either way, I was unhappy but coughed up the money since I was just picking up lunch and returning to a business meeting! It’s only a dollar+ & I like both Pranzo and Seamless but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

These guys are perfectly fine. Decent pizza, what looks like decent pasta, at fairly reasonable prices. They’re the epitome of average. Buffalo chicken pizza is pretty bad, so I’d recommend AGAINST ordering that, but the lasagna deep dish slice I had was good. They’re open until 8 Monday-Thursday, 7 on Friday, and 4pm on Saturday: classic FiDi! It’s kind of a madhouse inside and there’s a $ 5 credit card minimum, but if you’re looking for something quick at work you could easily do worse.

Pranzo is probably my go to spot for pizza and pasta. It’s cheap(for the area) and hits the mark. Not much more to say, it’s your standard pizzaria.

After reading all of the good reviews I was super excited to try this place out. However it’s just another plain pizza joint. The pasta is ok if you like bland food. the pizza slices are decent, but the price makes you not want more. And they are super thin. The only good thing they have here is the garlic bread. The owner or whomever runs the cash is rude. All in all you can try this place if you want. however I would recommend underground pizza which is a couple minute walk towards wall street,

Finally some real NY pizza!!! Thin crust, great sauce, and toppings. I also had a buffalo chicken slice, it was really impressive.

When inquired, I was told the pasta are all $ 6 for small and $ 7 for large. So I called for the meat lasagna. Then I was told it’s $ 7.50 for one size. I wanted to change my mind but he had already placed it into the black round container. I took it with no question asked and paid. I stayed for immediate consumption. The lasagna tasted funny because it had fatty hamburger meat in it. Very fat meat I must say, although the sauce was good. It was cold cause they didn’t bother to reheat for me. As a result, I wouldn’t recommend their pasta or hot food. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for me. Try the pies, as their pizza was decent, and is what I’ll get(if I’d go again). Staff and owner are friendly. Pizza and pasta selection are varied. Affordable prices(for Italian food) and good location(for Financial District). Tables and seats are uncleaned. Eat at your own risk.

I LOVE their tomato, onion and basil thick crust pizza. I get it every time I go and it never disappoints. Lunch for under $ 4 in NYC is a beautiful thing!

Great little pizzeria in FiDi. They have a huge selection of both pizzas and entrees, and the service is quick and friendly. I got the meatball parm with a side of vegetables for only $ 7 and it was delicious/filling! This is going to be a new frequent lunch spot for me at work.

Chicken parm lunch special with garlic bread may be the best in the financial district. Always juicy. Get It over ziti. Can’t go wrong. Cheap and delicious. I would eat this daily for lunch if given the chance. The pizza is not bad either. Place is big wnough to sit down but there is a park with benches across the street. Much better place to chow when it’s nice out. Get some sunlight before going back to your cubicle and wasting your life away.

I came here when I have a pasta craving. I always got the small spaghetti and meatballs with vegetables and garlic bread($ 6.5). It filled me up. The meatballs were very soft and worked very well with the tomato sauce. The garlic bread was a must have but make sure that you chew a gum afterwards. I have take away one star for the service. Staff were pretty mean with no smile on their face.

Located in the heart of the Financial District. I usually swing by once a week for lunch since they are right across the street from my office. The service is excellent and the prices are affordable. They have a good selection such as pizza, pasta, chicken, and spinach rolls. Their garlic bread is addicted.

Pranzo is OK. I work nearby at New York Plaza, so it is convenient when I want something simple for lunch. Mix of Alla Vodka and Ziti is only $ 7. The plus side — they give this yummy garlic bread with your meal(no additional cost!).

Love Pranzo!!! This place is exactly what you want it to be for an Italian lunch spot in the Financial District. Tons of energy. Fast-moving line. Enticing aromas. Friendly employees. Nice menu variety. Tons of small tables. And, of course, large portions of delicious food. Try the Chicken Pesto. Just try it. Trust me.

If you’re on one of those«quest for the best pizzas in NYC», this probably shouldn’t be on your list. Nice, cozy setting? Check. Moderate price? Check. Quality food it ain’t. You can say I was excited about going here after reading all the good reviews and praise and it was right across from where I worked – super plus! I thought this was going to be a quick but nice, family-setting Italian restaurant that serves hearty food. So maybe it did feel nice in there but one bite can ruin the whole experience. I didn’t want to risk my chances so I got a mushroom slice — a small slice for $ 4. Glad I didn’t get anything savory because it is on par with dollar slices, or maybe slightly worse. The width of the slice is very thin and its not very big in length as well. I love extra cheese but it seriously looked like they topped extra mozzarella cheese over what looked like goat cheese. The cheese underneath was so dried up and clunky, like it was made days ago. So disappointing. The bottom was also burnt — so not my day for pizza. Can’t say the same for the other pizzas, though they do have deep dish pizza!
