Solid experience tonight. Food was very good and a very relaxed ambience. Our waiter could have been better but it was an overall nice experience.

I ordered the Chicken«Parmesan,» which consisted of breaded breast topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, «mozzarella» cheese and linguine. And it was actually good and quite filling. And for $ 36, it didn’t break the bank. And I secretly enjoy having the kosher versions of taboo foods like chicken and Parmesan… Read the full review on our kosher blog:

I thought the sushi was good, and some of it was interesting. I liked the way they handle the duck, and carpaccio was excellent. Steaks were good but not exciting. Some of the sides like shaven beets were outstanding. The view is wonderful, the streets surrounding it are quiet in the evening. Servers were helpful, candles seemed unwise hanging as a makeshift partition… The restaurant is a penthouse but there is a bar on the ground floor, perfect for drinks while the rest of the party is gathering.

Ate here last night with my boyfriend and his friend. My boyfriend and I do not keep kosher, however, his friend does. Kosher, or not, the food was great. My boyfriend and I shared the beet salad. It was super fresh and had tons of beets. His friend and himself also shared the popcorn chicken, to which, they said was super delicious. My boyfriend and I each had the filet mignon served with mushrooms – cooked perfectly. I had a side of roasted cauliflower(which I could not stop eating) and my boyfriend had a side of mashed potatoes. His friend had the steak special with crunchy onion strings on top and a side of roasted potatoes. We enjoyed all components of the meal. The view of the city was spectacular an service was good. The only aspect of the meal that was not to my likings was the wine, but, «to each and his own.» I would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to Kosher and non Kosher eaters alike.

Great service! Beautiful view of manhattan, and last but not least delicious food. If I’d be a millionaire I’d eat dinner here every night and would not get bored, however prices are sort of expensive.

I stayed at the Bentley while I was in New York two weeks ago and only visited Prime one evening during my stay there. I should’ve been there every night for dinner! The views are spectacular! Such an amazing view of the Upper East Side. I was seated outdoors and ordered their chocolate cake alongside a chocolate martini. Both were excellent choices and a perfect nightcap before I retired. I would love to come back.

Pros The hotel… Amazing The view… Breathtaking Oh and the water was good Cons The food ridiculously expensive. Now I don’t mind food that’s expensive, but when it doesn’t taste like anything great and when the service sucks it pisses me off. As a former server I know bad service and I’m pretty easy going because Iv been in those shoes. The server had NO knowledge about the sushi. And she brought me the WRONG one. Now this wouldn’t be a problem if she would have came back to check how the food was. She never came back. In fact I saw her chatting it up with another server. So I sat there with untouched sushi and mediocre steak for almost 30 min. I asked another server to help us and got ignored. NEVERGO

Service was slow… to put it nicely. My meal was ok, with the Scottish salmon, but the long wait and high prices are not even close to worth it.

I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but, after the experience I had here, I feel that simply leaving the lowest tip I’ve ever left in my life was not enough. This place reached a new low in the notoriously bad kosher restaurant service department. A waiter who disappears for 25 min? Check. Mixing up the medium well and medium rare steak orders? Check. Having to ask for bread and water 15 min after sitting? Check. Charging 5.50 a glass for seltzer? YUP. Defensive waiters? Yes. When I politely asked about the doneness of my steak, our replacement waiter literally grabbed my knife and fork and cut into my steak with aggression, to reveal an overcooked steak. So he took it back. Only to bring me, just 5 min later, a cold steak that was cut into in 5 places. I’m paying $ 55 for a 10oz filet and they serve me like I’m a dog. Let’s not forget about the bus boy who cleared our table after an appetizer and brought us dessert menus. The whole night was comical. I guess this is why le marais and abigaels are the usual go to kosher spots for my friends and me. I gave prime a chance, and the night was a disaster! Funny when I left my sweater and had to go back up to get it after basically stiffing them on tip! Lol not even embarrassed to say that. It was THATBAD. Note, this is a review of a meal in October 2013 that I just submitted from my drafts. –T–

The food was spectacular though I wish our steaks would have come with some form of greens or sides. Three of us each had different appetizers, steaks, drinks and desserts. I tasted them all and was very pleased. The serious downside was the delay from the kitchen. I was there on a relatively slow night and the entrée took about 30 minutes to be served. Otherwise, it would be a 5 star.

I compared the steak here to ther places. I asked for medium rare and the steak was dry. I had to call the waiter back and ask him how he can expect me to cut a steak without a steak knife. I had to ask for ketchup. When ordering dessert, my tea came in a small cup with a teabag on the side. At such prices, you expect them to bring out a small pitcher. The dessert menu was a paper printed from a bubble jet printer. The dessert came and I had to call back the waiter and ask him how he expects me to eat my dessert without a spoon. Who runs such a place with such steep prices? Basically, you’re paying for the view because the food is crap and so is the service. If you want to pay for a view, there are much nicer places to go to. Go eat elsewhere. Seems like the staff was brought over from the Getty gas station that was closed down on 61st and York.

Service was good but the food needs some help. The main courses we’re well prepared and full of flavor. The hand rub ribeye was great and the veal and ribs were excellent. The appetizer are over priced. The beef carpaccio was well prepared and very fresh, but is only good for one person. The popcorn chicken was small and hard to find any chicken in it. The deserts need work. The black and white was fresh but the red velvet cake was dry a must have been 2 days old. For the price, you get a great view and a great steak, but the rest is over priced and not worth the price. Great place for a special occasion with a view and soon good music.

Just had a wonderful birthday dinner for my son, only three of us. The food and the service were excellent and the views are spectacular. I would certainly return again when I am ready for a costly, but superb dinner. I do suggest, however, that you consider changing your choice of dinner music. Hip hop and rap, at least that’s what it seemed to be, are not condusive to fine dining.

Let’s make this plain simple and short. I come from Los Angeles where we have amazing restaurants such as Shiloh’s pads luck in the Ola they are very upscale great food amazing service come to New York I’m staying in NASA County and ask a friend what is the best restaurant in the entire New York City even if I have to drive an hour I would not mind since I am looking for great service and amazing food. So I was told that Bentley prime Grill was was a cute place with nice Heights to view out the window while eating a course in Manhattan in Manhattan city. I called the restaurant they told me they close at nine and said that I should try to be there earlier such as 730 or eight. I asked if I needed reservations and they said you definitely need reservations we are very busy however when I arrived at 7:50 the place seems more than 70% empty. I sat down at the table and wait on till 822 when I received a phone call and asked a friend hey what would you do if you arrive at an upscale restaurant in the city and a waiter has not approached my table for half hour. It’s literally has been 30 minutes since I sacked out in a one person has approached me with even a couple water or drinks or appetizers or anything nobody came to my table for any assistance whatsoever. After I got a little frustrated for half hour I approached some random person just chilling in the front of the restaurant and said listen do you guys have any waiters and the guy replied to me sure if we do I’ll get one immediately for you that didn’t happen for the next five minutes. The entire restaurant which is empty had one waiter assisting the balance of the tables which is 30% of the restaurant and zero customer service will smile from the looks know what I recommend all attitude from A-Z. The food was horrible I mean horrible horrible horrible it was disgusting I order the chicken popcorn which was saw you like warm as if it’s been sitting there since the afternoon on a warm plate not even a hotplate. The endive salad was nothing to rave for at all it was just some guy who made them and that salad and thought his mom was a great cook so head use that recipe and restaurant. The 22 ounce cup most expensive on the menu online our ties that $ 69 on the menu in the store when you get there the price gets jacked up to 75 was more like 14 or 16 ounces and was Friday which was okay but this was not that bad was good not amazing. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I ordered a beer took about 20 minutes to receive it to all the guys like I’ll be back in just one minute with that now. My wife asked if for her steak they can substitute the fries for a different appetizer on the menu more like maybe a beat salad or something and they said oh sorry the chef will be really mad so we cannot honor your request. Throughout the entire restaurant I did not see one waiter approach any tables whatsoever I did not feel left out new wall me and my wife had noticed two waiters just chilling by the register schmoozing and laughing and just waiting for people to try to flag him down from their seats which is been maybe 50 feet away from when they were standing. The experience was disgusting my bill was around $ 200 I received no service and crap food the atmosphere was nothing to rave about every building in Hatten 70 or 80 stores hi this is only on the 20th20th floor and you about see you half the buildings half cut off from the bottom side view. I mean I was really disappointed the entire time if I wanted water I have to get up and ask for myself if I wanted anything I would have to get up and get it myself oh yeah I forgot to mention when I came for dessert I had to flag the item from far. I asking for desserts and he returned with the dessert menu started to rattle his mouth off about what was on the dessert menu while holding the menu and I asked him can I see the menu he refused three times as if there was some hidden secret on there trying to pull a scam or something I didn’t understand what that was about maybe he didn’t want me to see the price. Put it this way I was very disappointed I can’t explain anymore how bad it was. My waiter and all the waiters have a major major major attitude problems this place is a negative rated place. I would prefer to go to a fast food place over this place oh yeah again I forgot to mention I asked about their sushi menu and they said it was discontinued me all aligned our ties their sushi menu. I go to restaurants twice a week and spend a few hundred dollars a meal I know what customer service is I know what Goodfood is if you’re looking for a great place to go this is far from it you will be super disappointed. When I was leaving my way to chased me down and was screaming at me saying I forgot to leave a tip the answer is no I did not forget to leave a tip. I told him straight up that his service was horrible he told me why when you called me I filled up your water I said exactly that’s the point I have to call you if I needed anything.

Service sucks big time(and we were the only party in the empty restaurant). Food is mediocre(except popcorn chicken appetizer). Even 2 stars is 1 too many but the restaurant has an amazing view.

I don’t often feel compelled to write restaurant reviews on Unilocal. However… I was here with a group for a farewell party. My friend wanted to make a 7 p.m. reservation for around 10 — 15 people on a Monday night, but was told they couldn’t accommodate before 8 p.m. Fine. We start arriving to mingle at the bar at 7:30 p.m. The place is wide open. Not close to packed, no large parties leave the space we eventually occupied. So why they could not accommodate for 7:00 I have no idea — especially when they are charging absolutely ridiculous prices. My friend keeps Kosher, which is why she chose this place. I have minimal knowledge of Kosher food and restaurant prices, but this was just painful. If you are looking for a nice place to eat that MUST be Kosher, fine. If you don’t need it to be Kosher, please go to pretty much any other upscale Manhattan restaurant that will accommodate you. Their corn soup was $ 18, and that was possibly the cheapest item on the menu. I ordered a pasta special that was just okay, and over $ 30. It didn’t hold a candle to the $ 12 pasta plates at Otto. So again, unless you keep Kosher, there is no reason for you to come eat here and pay such crazy prices. Ever. Yes, the views are tremendous. I would highly recommend this place for people to go for romantic ambiance and a drink at the bar. But that’s all.

The best part of this restaurant is the magnificent view that you get, regardless where you sit, should it be on the open balcony or on the upper level near the big windows facing the bridge. The service though is not that great, I was there with my wife and waited for about 10 minutes to be seated — Regardless of the fact that we had made reservations in advance — and when finally seated it took for the waiter over 20 minutes to bring us the wine menu which happens to be on a pretty cool tablet with a nice selection of wines and liquors to choose from. The food however was really delicious(and almost worth the overpricing) and if I would ever come back it would really be for the food but not for the service.

Magnificent views. Must see. The photo of the bridge at night that I posted barely begins to capture the drama of the views. Food prices are absurd. Eat before you come here. Get a salad and coffee. Menu: $ 28 for a hamburger. Sushi is $ 8 per piece. Sometimes fancy restaurants in Manhattan have high menu prices for the«tourists» but locals know how to get a coupon or deal. I wonder. I was at a reception for a large private party. The hors d’ourves were oddly low quality — some deep fried stuff similar to what you get frozen at Costco and fresh vegetarian sushi rolls that were mostly rice. I asked the manager and he told me that the party had a low budget. Ok but you could do so much better even with a low budget(e.g. humus, cheeses, fresh vegetables…). It is a very strange place, but very beautiful, even romantic. There is narrow outdoor patio which is wonderful on a cool evening. Definitely visit, especially at night. Kosher.
