Adi is just the best. I’ve followed him all around the city and now even came back from LA to have him do my hair. He knows the right cut for your face and it’s intimidated by thick hair. He updated my blonde highlights and gave me a great cut and color this week (as always), I’m really happy with how it turned out and will always stay loyal to him as long as I am back and forth from LA to NYC :)

Davide Torchio performed a magnificent haircut for me. At my age (67) it’s not so easy to look good :) Davide makes me look and feel great.
It’s not often that one visits a salon and wishes that they could actually live there. That’s how beautiful and tranquil the environment is at Prive
The staff is attentive and polite. I loved the robe and the mirrored changing room. The doorman at the entrance of the Sherry Netherland Hotel was very helpful.
Davide’s colleague Fabrice is a dream to work with. He makes the transition of changing, washing and making new appointments an absolute pleasure.
Davide treats the whole person, he esthetically constructs the most flattering hair styles while pampering our psyches as well.
I cannot wait for my next appointment.

I recently discovered this salon for myself. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and service. Dylan gave me a haircut. He is very professional. He noticed that I wear glasses and asked if I wear this glasses on regular bases, which I do. Dylan styled my hair taking into account the shape of my glasses! And it feels great! He pays close attention to details. Loved the experience!

I’ve known Davide for many years, and recently saw him at Prive, his new home! The salon is beautiful and peaceful, and everyone there is helpful and calm, a nice ambiance for getting your hair done. Davide is wonderful. He listens carefully to what you want, is thoughtful, offers suggestions about color and style, and works meticulously. He is a sweet, gentle, warm person who makes the salon experience a pleasure. And my hair always turns out perfectly. I couldn’t recommend highly enough, for both color and cut.

I have been going to Davide Torchio for my hair for several years now and I feel so lucky to have him in my life! His cuts and color are absolutely brilliant and I know when I go to see him my hair is always going to look fabulous.
Davide has an innate sense of what styles work on people. I have introduced many of my friends of various ages and styles to him and they all love him. When my friends from out of town come to visit, a styling with Davide is always on the agenda! He’s friendly, genuine, and I always have 100% confidence in everything he does to my hair. Whether I’m playing it safe or doing something fun and different, I always walk out of the salon with a giant smile on my face!

This review is about Adi, who is not only a genius when it comes to hair, but he is also an incredibly sweet and fun person! I have curly hair, and have had many terrible experiences, where I walked out of a salon thinking «I can’t wait for my hair to grow back to how it was before». But every time Adi cuts my hair, I walk out super happy, and with great-​looking hair! Adi is truly a great hair stylist/​hairdresser and an incredible person. What a combination!

I’m loving my new style that the talented artists at Prive were able to create. My absolute favorite is Adi. He was my first stylist when I moved to the city, and he has styled my hair ever since. Between him and the wonderful fashion professionals at Prive, they always go the extra mile to make sure I’m satisfied :)

It was good. Just good. The guy that cut my hair was very friendly, and I appreciate that he took his time and tried to do a good job. But overall, the final result was just OK. I have hair relatively long for an average guy so he had a lot to wok with… He ended up cutting way too much on the sides (I realize that this has been kind of a trend, but I expect high-​end places to respect the client’s desire, and I specifically asked him not to over cut it on the sides)
So, now this is what I look like:

I’ve gotten my hair done with countless stylists at a variety of NYC salons and I can confidently say, Adi at Prive is the absolute best. I went to him when he was at his old salon and followed him to this new location.
I went to Adi for a cut, balayage, and a special conditioning treatment (ask him about it, it’s amazing!!!). Before we started he sat with me and patiently listened to me describe my ideal hair and how I wanted to look. He knew exactly what I was looking for and said he would be able to make it happen.
Adi is truly an artist when it comes to color, cut, and style. He painted my hair with precision and the cut made my thinner/​finer hair, bouncier and full of volume (without sacrificing length). He took the time to style my hair and teach me how to do it on my own. Adi is kind, intelligent, and above all, insanely talented. He is passionate, enthusiastic, and there to make you happy. He’s the best of the best. Thank you Adi… and thank you Prive!

Finding a trustworthy stylist in the big cities where I have lived (NYC, Tel Aviv, Paris) has been no easy task. Fortunately, my hair was lucky enough to fall in some of the best hands at the Big Apple. Adi’s experienced hands distill style, talent, and sophistication, just as much as French cuisine. Thanks to him, I have really enjoyed every second of my experience at this salon: from the coffee, to the consultation, and obviously showing off my great new look.
Never thought I could find someone that would literally take me so close to home and know my hair type best. Small coincidences, big longtime friendships. Thank you again Adi, see you again soon homeboy!

My experience at Privè by Laurant was above and beyond. Adi my stylist — colored, cut and styled my hair and it was impeccable. I’ve always been apprehensive with my hair but Adi immediately made me feel confident and calm, consulting me and taking the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. It was clear how passionate he is about his work and his professionalism translated into the quality of his work. I’m in love with my hair and walked out of Privè feeling like a million bucks. The color is rich and compliments my skin tone perfectly and my haircut is the most detailed cut I’ve ever gotten. It looks incredible.
Everyone at the salon was kind and accommodating. I can’t wait to visit again soon.

I came to Prive from another salon because of Adi Nujedat! He’s attentive and listens to exactly what you want to give you a FANTASTIC haircut. I’m growing my hair out from a pixie cut, and Adi has given me amazing haircuts — you’d never know my hair was «in transition.»
I couldn’t recommend Adi more highly. He is simply the best!

I came here because of great Unilocal reviews and so glad I did! The receptionist was friendly. Now let’s talk about the rock star and true artist Adi Nujedat who did my hair. He was easy to talk to, listened to my preferences and created a truly amazing cut & highlights. Usually haircuts are traumatic for me and I leave in shock and close to tears: not that day! I knew I looked phenomenal and owned it! Adi chose a color that brought out my eyes and complemented my complexion. He really is a master of his craft (which is why he does fashion week). If you are looking for an amazing hairstylist with personality that won’t leave you broke see Adi. You will leave feeling like a million bucks. I received 20 compliments on my hair the first day! I am now a loyal client and will spread the word. I already received a coupon from the salon since my appointment and I can’t wait to use it!
More recently I had my shoulder length hair hacked off, bangs trimmed, highlights retouched & toner to make the color match. Adi is a genius. Book way in advance and arrive early he is quite in demand! He is very personable and knows how to choose the right color and cut to compliment your complexion, face shape & features. See my profile pic for proof. The lady that assisted was also a doll and did a great job. Needless to say I am now a lifelong customer.
Bonus: I also realized I can pull off super short hair (for me) and its fabulous!

Adi is an amazing stylist. I sit down with him and I trust him to cut my hair to make me look really cool. Everytime I leave his chair I feel like I’m ready to step onto the field for Chelsea. I see myself differently after he cuts my hair. He’s really awesome and words can’t even describe it!

Christopher John — You will never find a more talented colorist who is good a listening to what the client wants and executing it without fail every time. No matter blonde, brunette or red head… he is someone that you can always trust.
Jordan — his technique is beyond compare. You will never have a bad hair day ever again. For years he has been reinventing my look and keeping me fresh and up-​to-​date with a hair style I can manage to execute on my own. He is realistic in understanding what your hair is capable of… I have very curly hair and he has been able to teach me how to blow it out on my own looking salon fresh.
People stop me all the time about my hair… I legit worship this team… Christopher John and Jordan work together as an awesome team… making women feel beautiful and giving them self confidence…

Just walked out of Prive and I feel great! One of the best hair stylist in NYC has just landed at Prive. Adi Nujedat is phenomenal. Make sure to ask for him when booking an appointment!

Jiwon is a godsend! Seriously, If you’re contemplating booking an appointment, JUST DO IT and go with JIWON! She’s a total sweetheart, easy to talk to, and genuinely listens to (and does) what you want. I was happy to follow her to Prive by Laurent D, and relieved to see that the salon maintains a downtown, fashion-​forward look despite its location.
I’ve tried 20+ high-​ranking Manhattan salons (from Bumble and Bumble, Dop Dop, and Alibi to smaller boutique salons like Whistle and Arte). Every single visit was a complete disappointment, not to mention waste of money. Well, my search is FINALLY over!
Jiwon is the first person in YEARS who knows exactly how to cut my silky straight and deceptively thick hair, and understands the high fashion, downtown look I like. I’ve gotten cuts, coloring, and updos done by her, including for my engagement and wedding. She does makeup too!
