Nasty! Would never use them again. Just nasty people

I brought in a coat that a very expensive service around the corner had almost ruined by not reading the label. Raysco immediately knew what to do and fixed it. I haven’t stopped going there even though its out of my way.

i use them all the time as my office is close by. The service from the older man who is probably the owner is wonderful. There is another younger guy who never says a word when you walk through the door, no hello, how can i help you — which i always was odd and annoying. Anyway, the end product always comes back fabulous.

This place is pretty pricey so I usually reserve it for stained garments but they always manage to return them looking 100% new.

I like this place, but don’t love it. My GF uses it quite often, and I think she finds the cleaning adequate but not out of this world. The staff is always very nice, perhaps a little slow on occasion. The prices are a bit high for Manhattan, but the location is easy, and everything is always on time.

I moved to this neighborhood in July and looked high and low for a relatively eco-​friendly cleaners. Most of them on the UES are outrageous prices.
Raysco doesn’t use the most eco methods available but they use a friendly solvent (so they say) and my clothes have no chemical smell.
They’re very polite on the phone and pick things up from my place within minutes.
The prices are a bit more but it seems they put extra time into problem spots etc.
They even called to let me know they would keep one item a day longer due to a difficult stain and wanted to make sure I didn’t get concerned when it wasn’t in the main order being delivered.
They do wash and fold at a reasonable price and use my detergent and dryer sheets which I send along.
After hearing negative comments about Columbia Cleaners and having money taken from my shorts at Symphony with a shoulder shrug and no offer to refund or make amends when I told them, I’m happy to have found Raysco!

I called for a price quote. I spoke very politely, but the guy was quite rude and not friendly at all.
I figured he didn’t need business, so he didn’t get one from me.

Steve at Raysco has been my dry cleaner and taylor of choice for about 3 years now. He is a little more expensive than your average dry cleaner in the city, I think it’s worth it. Extremely professional, accomodates my every need (rush on your tux shirt? pick up and delivery? not a problem). He and his staff know exactly who I am when I call — don’t have to give them my address or tell them how I like my shirts — and they direct bill everything to my credit card. I highly recommend.
