Disappointed with a product and lack of communication with manufacturer. Bought very expensive Lunor Combi 96 frames which broke at the stem on both sides despite taking good care. Corporate Robert Marc determined not qualified for fixing both sides. Said its like buying expensive high heels. They may not last. As a guy I don’t know about high heels. I would expect a)$ 1600 pair of glasses too last more than a year. Will go elsewhere. In the future. After a year it still irritates me.

Fantastic service. I got suckered into buying 2 frames and while paying for them… somehow got suckered into buying a pair of sunglasses I didn’t need. Very very nice frames but they tend to be roughly the same design trend, not a place for huge varying styles. They are not big on nose pad frames which I tend to like. The amount of time and attention they give you is phenomenal but even better, it’s very specific and catered to your personal needs. My 2 frames I got the lens for at different places. The cheaper plastic ones I got done at a cheapo Chinatown place because I wasn’t worried about them breaking it. The more expensive buffalo horn ones I brought back to Robert Marc. The difference in price for the lenses between the two shops was an astounding $ 150(and that’s with not getting the premium antiglare at RM). However I do notice that the RM lenses are clearer and do not fog up as much. My suggestion, unless you got the super delicate frames, take them somewhere else for the lenses.

Nice selection of glasses. If I didn’t have 20⁄20(hahaha!) vision, I’d probably shop here. Very aesthetically pleasing layout. Great lighting. Oh, and I hold almost no hard feelings that in 1996, when the store first opened, the proprietor came out and screamed at my friend and me for touching the storefront window. It was scary, but then again, I was 10.

Because I took out a lot of flexible spending this year, thinking that I might get my teeth whitened(turns out I am too lazy), I decided to buy absurdly expensive glasses instead. They’re nice – black plastic frame with green on the inside – but I’m very skeptical about spending 300 bucks on glasses. I see people with really nice glasses all the time that they got at the optometrist, or Lenscrafters, or wherever. The upside to having fancy glasses is that the store is a few blocks from where I work and I feel no compunction whatsoever about going in there and getting the frames resized for my face at no charge. No, my face doesn’t change size, but the stupid glasses stretch out after I wear them for one day. What a sham.
