Walk into Roti, leave with a happy stomach. This chipotle-style-serving Mediterranean restaurant is definitely a blessing. During lunch time, you’ll be lucky if you find any seats and the line is out the door. But don’t be discouraged by the line, because the service is quick and the small wait is definitely well worth it. If you’re looking for the best Mediterranean food out there, then this place isn’t for you. Roti is designed for the less-than-10-dollars and less-than-10-minute-wait eater. But it definitely hits the spot. FYI, you get to choose between a platter, a wrap or a salad. Definitely go for the platter over the wrap for a bigger portion(Unless you’re into salads…).

Solid midtown lunch place for a decent price! I got the chicken roti rice plate, which came out to a little under $ 9 without any add-ons. The rice plate is the most expensive of the three different options you can get(rice plate, wrap, salad). Their portions are just okay — it will fill you up and tide you over til dinner, but beyond that, it’s nothing spectacular. I also think it depends on who happens to be serving you. In addition to your meat and base, you also get to choose three sides(hummus is considered a side), a sauce, and a topping. I ended up going with the roti vinagrette(yum!), hummus, cous cous, and their cucumber/tomato blend, which were all really flavorful and went well with the chicken! I opted for the pita bread on the side. It was surprisingly soft and fluffy… and I really enjoyed that with my hummus. :9 The restaurant can get a little crazy during lunch hour, but there are plenty of seats and most turn over quickly!

Great work lunch spot! Could use more chicken on the plate– but overall very flavorful. Roasted red pepper and dill sauce combo is the way to go!

Roti serves decent Mediterranean food. Recently, I overheard some customers asking for the salmon and the servers said they did not receive the shipment. He said that they have been waiting for the shipment for the past 2 days. How can you expect to maintain a good level of customer service if you are not prepared to handle shortages in your memu? I noticed that some of the servers do not like to work on the serving line. They look tired, and it appears they don’t want to work there. Aside from these issues, the pita bread, the vegetable platters taste decent. This place has a good turn over since it is close to many corporations.

Great for lunch spot(in Midtown East) with a little bit of everything: meat, veggies, cheese, rice, etc — very fulfilling!

NEVERAGAIN ! This star is mainly for review purposes. I ordered lunch today. I called and they advised me to order online so I did at 1 :00pm I am just now receiving my food and it is 3:04PM. The idiot delivery guy got lost. How do you get lost in manhattan in a 3 block radius? It is super ridiculous that I had to wait for 2 hours to get my food. The worst part there were no utensils or napkins in the bag really ? I don’t even feel safe eating the food. God knows what this idiot was doing with the he food all this time. I really wanted to try to place. Complete disappointment. Never again . Sincerely ‚ A very pissed off Customer.

Love this spot, I’m here once a week. There are # of Mediterranean options in the neighborhood, but a few things stand out about this place. 1) Flavor– chicken roti in particular is great 2) Excellent portions– you can actually fill up on a salad here 3) Great variety of proteins, vegetables, and sauces to choose from 4) Efficiently run. The line moves quick. 5) Great management– I had a couple of issues with my online order and when I did the manager made my meal on the spot and put it on the house. Highly recommend.

Stopped in on a rainy afternoon after a day that didn’t allow for lunch breaks. It was so empty I thought they were closed. But they were actually open and I was super impressed by the seating area, and cashier. It was my first visit and once I told her this, she explained things to me and even made recommendations. I went with the chicken kabob plate with a gluten free pita. The food tasted good. Not amazing, but fresh and light. The pita made me long for gluten but I am glad they have this option. Overall this place is a great option for a healthy Mediterranean option with seats. I would go back, for the service and on days that it is too rainy to stand on line for the halal guys…

This is a very solid lunch spot for the area. Well priced, tons of food, and surprisingly fresh. If you’re looking for some solid spiced quick food this is your spot. It’s essentially an Indian chipotle. One of the best options in the area without a doubt

Fast and tasty. Come after 130 when the lines die down. Chicken kabob is my favorite here. Great for work lunch

There is always a lunch crowd for this place regardless of weather so you know it’s a must have lunch staple! Delicious no fuss Mediterranean food with fresh ingredients and an awesome staff! Today I ordered for three: chicken shawarma pita pocket, rice plate with steak and salad with falafel and chicken shawarma. Ordering was easy, but it gets tricky when you get to your sides and sauces because of so many orders. I will admit the person assembling my food did mess up the pita pocket, but apologized and fixed it right away! Chicken shawarma pita pocket with hummus and tomato cucumber on the side. Steak rice plate with tomato cucumber and cabbage slaw and dill sauce. Mixed green salad with cabbage slaw, feta pita on the side and garlic sauce. By the time I returned to the office all the food was still warm! The salad and cabbage was fresh and crisp and had a nice crunch. The chicken was seasoned perfectly. The falafel was golden brown deliciousness. The pita was fresh made and warm. The dressing tied everything together. Perfect lunch.

My new favorite place. It reminds me of a restaurant that’s now closed named meze grill which is like a Mediterranean chipotle, selecting base, protein, sauces and was good. Definitely top notch for fast fast food. It kinda reminds me of the same pallete of flavors like moaz vegetarian. I had the rice bowl with the beef, hummus, cucumber salad and their spicy sauce. Delicious!

YUM! I think I found a new favorite lunch place in the area! Everyone has described the process, so I’ll be brief. Delicious, fresh food at a fair price. I waited on a long line, but it moved super fast and I was there for under 10 minutes total(including ordering and paying). The chicken roti is delicious — moist and tender. I love both the cucumber/dill/yogurt dressing and the garlic dressing… or a mix of both. The sides were decent, nothing to write home about. However, for under $ 10 you get a large amount of a variety of grub that’s all tasty and fresh. Make sure you look at the menu before you get close to the front. The line of servers are so efficient and move so quickly that you’ll be holding up a hungry line if you’re not ready!

Roti Mediterranean Grill serves tasty food for a good price and offers gluten-free options. My friend and I went at 12:30, and the line was outside the door, but I’m glad that we stayed! The line actually moved quickly and we were able to find seating inside. I had a salad with chicken roti, hummus, red cabbage, cous cous and onions with yogurt sauce. My friend got hers from a separate counter because she ordered everything gluten free, and with gluten free pita. The food was really fresh and I had a large plate for just $ 9. I also downloaded the Roti Rewards app and uploaded my receipt to earn points. Why not? I can get a cookie using my points next time ;)

I found my new spot. I ordered the B.P.E.(The Best Plate Ever) it was slammin jammin!!! It had chicken kabob with roasted red pepper sauce a nice portion of roti rice, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, brocolli, cooked onions and hummus! Loved my first experience here its healthier, cleaner and cheaper than Chipotle and huge portions for great prices. Roti Rocks.

It’s Mediterranean Chipotle — except probably better than Chipotle. I’m a sucker for Mediterranean food and Roti gives you just that, except with options to customize your dish. At 12, the line was practically out the door, but trust me it’s absolutely worth the wait. Plus, they have an overview of their menu and their options before you walk in, which is always helpful. But if you don’t feel like looking at the menu, here’s the run-down: you can get a sandwich, rice bowl, or salad with your choice of meat(chicken roti which is just grilled, but delicious chicken, steak, salmon, falafel, etc.). You get a choice of a sauce too — highly recommend their cucumber sauce. So good. Now, pick three sides — that means a choice of hummus, grilled veggies, cucumber and tomato, eggplant, etc. Then a topping — cheese, olives, etc. Pita bread included — I know, its’ so much food. All this moves very quickly — so be sure to pick all the things you want! But I promise you, it’s super delicious and all those sides actually make it kinda healthy. The best part is probably the protein — they flavor it super well and it’s amazing. There’s usually seating even during the lunch rush, as I assume most people probably eat elsewhere. Either way, it’s super worth it and a great twist to the Chipotle-style of fresh, fast, healthy food.

The Mediterranean version of Chiptole, I stumbled on this comparable alternative one day at lunch. Here’s what you need to know: 1. Choose between sandwich($ 7.95), rice($ 8.45) or salad($ 8.75) 2. With 1 pick: chicken roti, steak roti($ 1), chicken kabob, salmon($ 2), falafel or fresh veggies. 3. Add 1 sauce: dill and cucumber yogurt, tahini, garlic, roasted red peppers, s’hug or roti vinaigrette Add 3 sides: tomato & cucumber, cous-cous, red cabbage slaw, Spanish eggplant, hummus, fresh veggies, or mixed greens And 1 topping: feta, olives or sumac onions. Great alternative if you tire of Chipotle and are looking to change things up.

Roti serves up a well-balanced meal for lunch for a great value. Start with choosing your plate of choice whether it is a sandwich, salad, or a rice plate then choosing a main ingredient along with three sides. Main ingredients come with either chicken kebob, seasoned grilled chicken, and falafel. My favorite combination here is the rice plate with mixed main ingredients. Yes, you can have a little bit of each! The chicken kebob is grilled with a hint of curry while the grilled chicken is well seasoned with spices. Falafel is not crunchy and soft compared to the outside world. My sides include hummus, cucumber and tomatoes, and fresh salad. A fresh, soft pita bread is also included in the plate. I love to know that I’m getting a balanced of protein, vegetables, and carbs all in one meal. The portion is really huge for one sitting! I am really impressed with the lunch options and it’s no wonder that there is a long line during lunch hour. To avoid the line, come within minutes before 12:00 pm or wait until after 1:00 pm. Thumbs up!

Decent Mediterranean option in Midtown. I usually go for the combo plate with chicken and 3 sides, plus a pita. They have a few meat options to select from, a few sauces for the meat, and a few sides. I have tried most of the sides and they work for me. They also make the pita fresh. The portions are big and they move the line fast.

I come here all the time for lunch. I usually get a variation of the same thing. You build your plate. For step #1, I usually go with rice or salad but you can also do a sandwich/pita. Step #2, I always go salmon. Every. Single. Time. Step #3: sauce. I go Dill Cucumber Sauce. Every. Single. Time. It is SO good! I get it all over the salmon and rice. The first time I ordered here, I got my food drenched. When I got back to the office to eat, I took a bite off the top of the salmon skewer that was coated in sauce, and was surprised with the bitter taste of a lemon instead of salmon. So, beware seafood and sauce lovers! Step #4, you pick sides. Sometimes I get hummus. Sometimes I get red cabbage and cous cous. I think they could step up their cous cous game a little. I’ve had better around town. They ask if you want a pita. I say«yeah duh.» No I don’t. that would be rude. But, I get one. Every. Single. Time. :) FYI: Sometimes it’s really hard to open the door(bc of the wind?). The other day, everyone got locked inside. I dk if people need to go to the gym or what happened. It’s a typical day in the life of me though, so I didn’t think too much of it.
