I really like the cute store and the fact they are selling ice cream! But the cappuccino is a big disappointment. It’s watery and no foam… the beans have a really poor taste too. No aroma, no richness, just bitter and dark… Will not come back.

Hmm… not really a bit fan of their espresso… but I do love the fact that they also serve ice cream sandwiches in three flavors — classic, red velvet and chocolate. Must grab a bite next time!

DONOTGOHERE! This place does not offer Artisan… they advertised mate and when they didn’t have it, I was forced to buy a celestial seasons bagged green tea. BS Upon first arrival I thought«wow, how cute is this place!» Next thing I noticed was how the chalk wall menu included my favorite thing… Mate. They had two drawings offering a one Chilly Chair Mate and another for Chilly Mint Mate. This is what I wanted. When I tried to order the mate the woman behind the counter pulled out a cold box of Chai Latte. I said«no that is latte. I want Mate».after several minutes trying to explain that I wanted one of the drinks listed in the chalkboard menu she said«no I do not know how» and shaking her head that she didn’t understand. I ended up settling for a celestial season bagged tea… if I wanted a freaking mass brand bagged tea I would have gone home and made a cup.

$ 4.68 for a small iced coffee is way expensive, but when said coffee tastes burnt beyond edibility… well that’s just annoying. I like that it is a small local business, and that they carry small cups of Blue Marble ice cream(or is Brooklyn ice cream Factory? either way both are great!). It is right downstairs from my office but myself and my coworkers find their coffee to taste way too burnt. I’m actually really surprised to see all of the reviews about the coffee tasting watered down. I find it to be the exact opposite. The pastries look good and fresh but honestly after my experience and that of my co-workers, I doubt I will come back to try anything else at this establishment.

Just eat the best orange cranberry muffin! So tasty and delicious. Their ice coffee is pretty good as well. The place is small, cute, with nice postcards and decorations of old ships from the South Street Seaport Museum.

‘Fraid I have to agree with some other reviews below. Got a double-es(double espresso) in there today — for which I was charged $ 3.00, even though menu says $ 2.75, don’t know why, but anyway – and it was worse than Starbucks, and nowhere on a par with Joe’s or Ninth Street, as I would have expected. They’re using Puerto Rico Coffee Company coffee, which is not the best, but mainly it’s up to the barista skills in how to pull a shot. No crema, & it was twice as long as should be. Bummer.

A real disappointment! My hubby & I always like to support local coffee shops. This one was close to our hotel, so we walked over to enjoy a midday cup. The shop is decorated nice, and I was happy that they offer almond milk as an option. My husband ordered a mocha(hot). And I ordered an iced latte with almond milk. The latte looked a little light(like it didn’t have much espresso) but I didn’t say anything. I probably should have asked how many shots she added. Once we sat down at the table outside, we both began drinking our coffees. They were very watery. I’m not sure how an espresso shot can be watered down, but the barista succeeded in serving us the most watered down espresso beverage I’ve ever had! I hate to say it, but it actually made us regret just walking one block over to St@rbucks!

Just tried this place for a cappuccino, maybe it was the barista or the coffee but my cappuccino tasted very water down. Nothing like regular cappuccino should taste. I used the CUPS app, as soon as I mentioned this the girl said«I don’t know about the app except I just give out free coffee» she didn’t sound very excited that I was using this app to put it lightly. Maybe that’s why it’s water down? Not sure, I probably will not go back here. Not worth to pay 5 $ cappuccino. Ended up trashing the capp.

R-tisan NY: Manhattan: Seaport Village 2pm Wednesday 11th March 2015 Three Stars After getting a discount theatre ticket, I decided to stop in here for a coffee. I decided on a cappuccino to stay. She gave it to me in a 12 oz togo cup. There was very little foam and way too over steamed milk. The espresso was too diluted to really enjoy. Very disappointing.

Place is super tiny! It was pretty hard to find but once you enter into the seaport shops area you’ll find it. If you end up down by the water you went to far. Usually there’s only one guy at the counter, not much foot traffic there so it won’t be crowded. Coffee is OK but I just love supporting small businesses !! They accept the cups app! I think its a bit cheaper than the other coffee places nearby.

i just found this coffee shop. I went twice. The owner is very friendly and humorous, the girl what works there when he isn’t around is also very sweet and friendly. I like the relaxed laid back atmosphere of the place. I’m a sucker for local businesses like this :) The coffee is very real punch-in-the-face-wake-me-up strong. REAL morning coffee. If you are looking for watered down coffee go back to Dunk Donuts.
