Rudy Volcano has left this Alphabet City site in the Easy Village. He’s moving west to 154 Bowery.

This is certainly one of the city’s hidden gems. The merchandise Rudy carries — as others have noted here — is literally«one of a kind.» And, just really high quality, beautiful stuff. Most of my Christmas gifts from last year I bought from Rudy and everyone was thrilled at what I got them. I should also add that Rudy is a super cool dude. And, finally, you’ll be supporting the true artisans whose work he sells.

This place is awesome. They have stuff you simply can not find anywhere else, because the owner hand picks all the items overseas before selling them in his shop. The items can be somewhat pricey depending on what you are looking for but he always has a great selection. Just a small warning though. If you see something you like I suggest you purchase it right away or risk coming back and it being sold out. some items do not get restocked simply because of their originality.

My cousin took me to his shop, and I feel in love the most amazing fedora. Rudy didn’t have my size, so he ordered it and shipped it to me. I really wasn’t a fedora girl when I bought this, but it’s become one of my favorite summer hats. I love it and I have never seen another one like it.

If just to look at his window displays that change everyday this store is worth the trip. Inside he has many beautiful things at fair prices. They offer unique clothing and jewelry and they burn and sell my favorite incense

I love this store. It’s beautiful inside, the décor constantly changes, the store is constantly being rearranged to keep things looking and feeling fresh. Rudy, the owner has wonderful taste in clothing, both men and women’s. I have bought several gifts for my mother and girlfriends all of which were favorably received. I personally have bought clothes here and they are beautifully crafted and of high quality. The atmosphere is wonderful, Rudy is wonderful, and his products are carefully designed, made, and chosen. If you have the cash then come and explore for a special occasion.

This is a great place to buy little handicrafts and chatchkis for your loved ones aka mama and grandma to clutter up their bookshelves with. The prices are good and the stuff is unique, always good for cute stuff for gifts.

If you like authentic Latin American clothing and handicrafts, specifically Guatemalan stuff, this is the place for you. Reasonably priced considering it is a small store and has authentic, handmade items only, this place has an incredible turnover since their décor and supplies seem to change every few weeks. If you see something you like, make sure you buy it, because it won’t last, for sure. The owner is wonderful, and if there is something you were looking for but you can’t find it, he’ll call you when it arrives and save it for you. He takes every major credit card too, which is rare for such small stores. Beautiful colors and good quality, check this place out!!! p. s. This is NOT a lingerie place, I have requested Unilocal to update the address and category. I would NEVER go to a lingerie place, EWWWGROSS!
