Very helpful staff and they have fantastic clothes that have a very custom, tailored look.

My husband has learned to like shopping in the 10 years we’ve been together, and in the past few years he’s learned to not shy away from spending a little more for something of higher quality. So today we were ready for Sean to come into our lives. I don’t know that I’ve ever been in a men’s boutique before — A) compared to women’s, there aren’t that many of them and B) I’m usually more of a department/discount store shopper. So I don’t know if I’ve just really been missing out on men’s boutiques in general but Sean really wowed me today. Like… everything in the store was pretty simple but SO beautiful. All of the fabrics were really interesting and/or luxurious. Everything had something special about it, whether it was a cool pattern or something subtle in the cut or fabric. The hubbs has been looking for a jacket for a few weeks now, and we’ve looked in C21, Loehmann’s, Gap, Banana Republic, Zara, and a couple other places I’m forgetting and nothing was even worth considering. We walked into Sean(he actually didn’t want to go in there, but I made him!) and he walked right up to the rack of «painter’s» jackets, tried one on and loved it. He was looking for something that could be worn casually or to the office and that balance is really hard to find. It comes in a few different colors, and he picked out a beautiful mottled charcoal wool.(The salesman told him that they make that same jacket every year, in different fabrics, and people like to collect them.(Yay for boutique shopping with knowledgeable salespeople!) I’ve never asked to be added to a mailing list before, without prompting from a salesperson, but this store really knocked our socks off. We’ll definitely be back!

Sean’s shirts«excite!» FYI: there was nothing that came close to them at Barney’s or Bergdorf’s when I was out scouring the city for presents for my husband. Nothing. Sean’s shirts have a «freshness» or «spark» to them making them feel relevant while maintaining a classic feel so they never look trendy or too fashion-forward. I thoroughly enjoy the shirt-buying process at Sean’s while it seems a chore anywhere else. And most importantly, my husband loves getting Sean shirts and clothes and loves wearing them.

Sean is fantastic! I love shopping here. The clothes are well-made and classic. Prices are all relative — more expensive than the gap but similar to J. Crew, and less expensive than most boutiques. I started shopping at the uptown and downtown Sean stores two years ago. At Sean, I buy the best-fitting and most complimented clothes I’ve ever worn. The people who work here are also very nice, helpful, and have a sense of humor — qualities that are refreshing when it comes to the New York City shopping experience.

Sean is the only boutique sort of place I’ve shopped, as the most upscale usual place I would go is a Banana Republic-type store. Usually I’m a fan of super-value at Gap Outlet. That said, shopping here is always great and nearly every time I wear one of the several shirts I have from here I always get compliments. They all have a certain look to them that sets them apart from your basic department store dress shirts, and the patterns on them are simple but pretty. Also, along with boutique shopping comes very helpful staff who will tell you if what you picked out is actually cool or not, and if they think it looks good on you. All in all, pricey stuff but definitely the source for all my best casual dress shirts.
