Seleni has a very good variety of classes to choose from for a new or experienced mother. I am mother of two boys(ages 1 and 4) and wish there had been a place like Seleni when I had my first son. They help you with the questions mothers ask themselves and their friends about their children and themselves. The space is absolutely beautiful and has a calm and restful atmosphere. Everyone is very warm and welcoming from the therapists to the front desk staff. It is a very special place.

I think I will be forever indebted to Seleni’s sleep consultant, Brooke Nalle. I never wanted to let my child cry and so I went for nearly 20 months! with her waking up and breastfeeding anywhere from 1 to 4 times a night(usually two). I was a sleep deprived mess, depressed, not able to work, irritable. After a 20 minute session with Brooke, she came up with a plan that worked with my sensibilities of not wanting to abandon my child but also needing to sleep! I can’t believe it. It worked in a week! We only had one night of a lot of crying and now, I have slept through the night for four nights in a row(which is the first time I have done so since my daughter was born!). I am so, so grateful!!!

Seleni is what a health center for women should be. No cloyingly sweet décor. Just beautiful, elegant, and comfortable spaces. It’s a revelation. The staff is thoughtful and knowledgeable. I like that Seleni offers western medical and alternative treatments – from psychotherapy to acupuncture – side by side, which eliminates the stress of navigating the labyrinth of services out there. I felt understood, attended to, and at ease. I go there now as a mother of three, but wish I’d known about it before I had children.
