Shutterbug Boudoir

Michelle was great! I got boudoir photos done as my wedding gift to my husband and Michelle makes you feel super comfortable within minutes. She is such a warm person and just perfect for this type of work. The photos came out great and my husband loved them! Would highly recommend her!

Just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed my photo shoot with Michelle from Shutterbug Boudoir.
I purchased the deal on LivingSocial as a Christmas/​Anniversary gift to my husband. I’ve never done anything like this before but Michelle was very accommodating and sent me an information page along with the confirmation when I booked my session. This way I knew how to prepare and what not to do on the day of, like not to wear tight socks/​undergarments in order not to have marks on my body.
When I got to the studio, Michelle welcomed me and walked me through the process so I felt really comfortable. Her studio setup is very professional and as soon as Michelle started directing me on poses and taking pictures, I felt like she knew exactly what she was doing. Still, I was blown away by how well the images turned out. I am not a professional model but the poses looked so natural and the images so professional!
I got the images emailed to me the next day, and I got to choose 2 pictures to get retouched (it was part of my LivingSocial deal). I then got the re-​touched images the following day and they looked so good!
I would recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a professional photographer who is fun and easy to work with.

What an amazing experience I’ve had with Michelle. She was very accommodating and understanding with my observance of my religious holidays. The quality of the images were spot on and the space was very VERY nice. As a professional, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I will certainly be shooting with her again and HIGHLY recommend the friendly/​professional atmosphere she provided. Very communicative as well. Great with direction and her know how of photography. I would like to report my unpleasant and despicable experience with Michelle. I bought this photo shoot on Groupon and was planning to give to my husband as a anniversary gift on 12/​19/​2015.
We arrange for the weekend after Thanksgiving 11/28.Few days later she sent me an email: ”Hello I have to reschedule the shoot because my boyfriend said we will not return to the city this weekend”. First of all, who does this to your clients?
I said ok. We reschedule for 6^th December. Then, guess what? Another unpleasant surprise from Michelle:
On December 4^th she sent an email confirming the session for the day 5^th of December.
I said I could not do this on 5^th because the appointment was for December 6^th.
She offered me to reschedule the session for January 2016. I thought, WOW how can she has the courage to offer me to do this after my after my anniversary. Horrible!
I just wish that professionals would not not offer their services on sites like Groupon or Living Social if they do not have the intention to treat clients with the same dignity of customers who pay the regular price.
I leave here my alert for this business Shutterbug Bordoir. In fact I would not recommend it it to my worst enemy.
Luckly, I got my money back from Groupon and now I have only two weeks to find another establishment to do the shooting before the day ¹²⁄₁₉.
Never Again.

What can I possibly say to put in perspective how happy I am with my recent photo shoot with Michelle! I am beyond pleased and happy with the whole experience. I bought the shoot to have some pictures to give my fiancé the morning of the wedding. I have never done boudoir style photos before. I was a little nervous but as soon as I walked in the studio door I felt more comfortable. I showed her the clothes I brought and she helped me pick out what to wear. Michelle knew how to pose me to make sure the photos would look great! Michelle was excellent all around! I received my photos via email within 24 hours. They are fantastic. I love them all! After I chose the photos I wanted printed, Michelle edited them and had them printed within a few days. I would highly recommend Michelle to anyone interested in a boudoir photo shoot!

I just had my photo shoot with Michelle. I had never done anything like this before and was so nervous! But Michelle made me feel so comfortable and gave me direction on how to pose every step of the way. Modelling is hard work! The studio was amazing… it had all the right props for classy, timeless photos. I had so many great pics to choose from! Michelle is extremely talented and the whole boudoir experience with her was awesome! Highly recommended!

Michelle is incredible! Bought the boudoir photo shoot deal on LivingSocial. It was well worth it! She’s a true professional and true artist! She made me feel comfortable and took incredible photos. The turnaround time to get photos back was incredibly quick!

I had a great experience doing my boudoir shoot! I had never done anything like that, so I was a bit nervous, but Michelle made me feel super comfortable instantly! The space has perfect lighting and she tells you what to do so you don’t feel silly. I even got a few high fives when shots turned out nicely which was quite helpful for my confidence ;). Oh, and the hubs loved all the pics!

I just left a shoot with Michelle. My first and only boudoir shoot and I have to say it was the best experience EVER. I walked in very uncomfortable and after a short time felt right at home. She guided me the whole way and made me feel great about myself and my body. I can’t wait to do this again and wouldn’t consider using anyone else. If you’re thinking about it– DO IT!

OMG, how much do I love the photos Michelle took? Love, love, love. Michelle made me feel very comfortable in her sunny studio a few blocks away from Madison Square Garden and FIT. It was just the two of us collaborating to create the best and most artistically sexy photos with outfits and poses. The photos have an ethereal lighting to them. Some of the photos are so damn hot, I just cannot believe I can look like that. Of course, there were some bad ones, but that is why she takes a few hundred pix per session. You just need one perfect image that makes you look like a Victoria’s Secret model to hook your man or whatever else you desire. Michelle can help you achieve it.

Michelle is the perfect person for this! She was so down to earth, real and amazing at what she does. I’ve never done a photo shoot, let alone a boudoir shoot-​so I was really nervous. Michelle put me at ease, showed me exactly what to do, gave me input and would show me some of the pictures as she took them which really boosted my confidence and helped. She seems so genuine and encouraged me to really feel at ease and sexy. I cannot believe the photos that I have! She is a great photographer-​both while taking the photos and looking at the pictures. I’ve never felt so sexy and comfortable in front of a camera, and I’m so happy with my pictures. It was also amazing to receive them a few hours after the photo shoot was finished! I have absolutely nothing negative or even neutral to say about her, she is wonderful! I would highly, highly recommend her.

Awesome experience! She helped to pose you and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Plus she sends the pictures to you withing 24 hours of the shoot. I was the last of the day and I got mine within a few hours! They came out AWESOME! I never thought I could look as good as I do in her pictures. Definitely recommend!

Let me start by saying this is my very first Unilocal review! I always mean to leave reviews when I’m impressed but never seem to find the time. This alone should tell you how pleased I was with Michelle and her business! I’ve never done any type of photo shoot so I was a little nervous and uncomfortable. Michelle made feel super comfortable and more importantly super HOT!!! She showed me how to work it and I felt amazing. She would show me some of the pics as she took them so I could see how it was coming out. Michelle is AMAZING at what she does and I will definitely use her in the future :)

Michelle rocks. This was my first boudoir shoot, way out of my comfort zone, but Michelle set me up to pull it off like a pro. She put me at ease from the first call, answered all my questions and listened to my vision. She gave great tips to prepare for the shoot and she directs the poses to accentuate your best features every step of the way.
The studio gets beautiful natural light. My photos are freakin GORGEOUS.

Miss Sarit came here for a photo shoot that she had been wanting to do for a while, where I mostly watched but did however participate in a few.
It is located on the 11^th floor, and you’ll need to be buzzed up. Michelle and her assistant (?) greeted me at the door with a smile and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable.
I was seated on a large couch and we were ready to begin. Michelle has a number of props to use, and seems to focus on natural lighting (which is probably the best in my unprofessional opinion.) There are several widows lining the studio with a white sheer curtain which sets the backdrop for several of the photos.
In addition to this, she has really big expensive lights that she does some pro-​looking photographer stuff with. The thing that comes to mind is those Cover Girl commercials where they’re doing a photo shoot (duh Michael.)
There are also different pattern backdrops and small props such as crazy stripper high-​as-​hell heels and other cool stuff.
Michelle and her assistant will combine their artistic vision + experience with your desires and vision.
We saw the untouched up photos today and were happy with several of them. I will try to remember to update this review once I see the three touched up photos, but will probably forget.

I wish I could give Michelle more than five stars, because she truly deserves it!
First, she’s very punctual. Michelle and her assistant start on time and finish on time!
Second, her assistant/​make up artist is WONDERFUL and quick! You may not be comfortable with the finished product when you look in the mirror, but trust me: it translates SO MUCH BETTER on film! You will be in very capable hands.
Third, Michelle makes you feel at ease from the moment you walk through the door. If you have an idea, she will help you expand on it. She’ll tell you what will work best for you and the camera and she’ll be SPOT ON! If you don’t have props, she’s got them for you.
Fourth, the studio is warm and inviting. Lots of natural light, music playing, great atmosphere. You will feel as if you are in an old friend’s home.
Fifth, speaking of old friend: Michelle, after the first minute of meeting her, will feel just like that! She will pose and coach you as she’s taking shots and it will feel so natural. If you are not comfortable about certain body parts, by the time your session is over, you will love those parts! She will play up your strengths, and also make the not so strong parts work for the camera with very little effort.
Sixth, turnaround time to see all the photos she took is lightning fast: within 24 – 48 hours.
My boudoir session with Michelle was yesterday. This was a gift to myself for my upcoming 50^th birthday. I am SOOOOOOO glad, and honored, that Michelle was the one who translated my joy onto film. I am so happy with her work that I’m already planning to take my 55^th and 60^th birthday pictures with her as well as my «couple» portrait with my man.
You will not be disappointed with Michelle and ShutterBug Boudoir!

Michelle is a wonderful photographer. She made me feel so at ease and I still can’t believe how gorgeous my photos came out.
FYI, her studio space is nice and bright… lots of natural light, billowing white curtains. Very peaceful and easy to relax in… created such a nice mood for the photo shoot.
