I like to support Upper West Side businesses so I stopped by the JCC to meet with Judy Marlow to cater a birthday party with 60+ guests. (BTW — I’m NOT kosher.) Judy was so professional from our first meeting that I knew she was the one for me. I can’t give her and her staff enough praise. Ande oversaw the event and made sure everything ran smoothly; the servers Clara and Priscilla were efficient, cheerful and tireless; Sam the bartender was a hit with everyone; and the chef Mike along with Tako and Dollie put out the most delicious creations from a tiny NYC kitchen. It was not cheap, but Judy showed a willingness to work within my budget. I felt the price was fair. I did a lot of research on caterers but in the end I was able to find the very best in my own backyard. Simply Divine and Judy are top notch.

Fantastic caterer! Judy and her team dreamed up a delicious menu for our wedding and everyone was raving about the food. (When I told guests the food was kosher people were in disbelief — people were savoring their desserts to the last bite.) Judy’s tasting was a delight, and the chef’s were professional and extremely capable. Every detail from the presentation on each plate, tray and station is carefully thought out and makes for a superb final product — both visually pleasing and exceptionally tasty.
Judy also supplied us with catered meals during the wedding week while we hosted people in our home. She responds quickly and is very reliable. Judy supervised the entire event from start to finish and helped coordinate with the venue staff and the dj to make sure the night ran smoothly. I am excited to work with Judy again as her dishes are creative, dynamic and span a broad range of cuisines.

A gem of a kosher caterer. I’ve done two lifecycle events with the help of owner Judy Marlow, and it was a joy both times.
If you are dismayed at the thought of dealing with the big kosher caterers, Judy will seem like a breath of fresh air. She runs a small shop, so your party is never treated like a forgotten cog in a giant chopped-​liver factory. And your menu will not feel like something your guests have eaten a million times before.
Simply Divine’s food is creative, multicultural, beautifully presented, and across-​the-​board delicious. Working within the confines of kashrut, she comes up with menus that are modern but accessible.
Judy’s got tons of experience, and I always felt confident that she could handle anything. (A cocktail hour on a strange roof was no problem; a major food allergy was taken seriously; oddball props were handled with aplomb.) She’s unpretentious and easy to talk to, and her staff is stellar.
Simply Divine is not cheap, but I found the price to be competitive with the big boys, and a better value for the quality.
