*Update* Sirius XM’s Customer Relations department contacted me as promised and exceeded my expectations. I am now set up for another year on both radios. I recommend this company. There are people within the organization working the problems and correcting issues.

This company sucks they make fake promises on services they can give. They not clear as to what you get in your package when you sign up. They give a discount to wheel you in and once you become a paid plan customer they stick it to you. I had names and dates of people I talked to about my service was wrong. I asked if they could wave a little $ 6.00 fee for my time and given wrong information only to resume regular payments the next month they deny it and they didn’t want me to talk to a manager saying they would say the same thing since when our clerks management. I would not recommend this company or any of their plans their customer service sucks the person I talked to also gave me miss information on prices and he seem like he had no knowledge of anything. Terrible company.

I signed up for their free trial and realized rather quickly that Howard Stern is not worth $ 14.99 a month. What a pain to cancel! I’m currently on the phone with them now. The Customer Service person is from another country and cannot understand me. I’m now 15 minutes into the call and she’s STILL working on canceling my account. Isn’t this a standard procedure? Now I’m concerned that I will be charged because this type of shotty customer service is suspect.

We have been forking over our money to them for 10 years now.

With With Spotify, Pandora, and Internet radio, I don’t know why it costs $ 14 – 20 dollars a month. We are suckers. Luckily we phoned them and got our bill reduced and still kept all the channel line up.
I should add when they first started out they said they would be ad free. That was a bunch of bull and didn’t last long.
I wish they had the option of getting a cheaper package without the
50 billion sports channels it comes with.
We listen online and sometimes the reading will be different than what is playing and one has to refresh several times to get the right show on.
They *need* a world music channel that is more like a world music sampler channel.
They could bring on a bunch of Ethnomusicologist to host and explain.
They could do so much with a general world music channel.
Different Shows with different themes.
Celtic, African Dance, Asian Classical, Bollywood, South American… etc.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. WTF SiriusXM. WTF. Placed a phone order — I am not a subscriber — could not get an email confirmation of my order. Did not arrive as promised. I had to call two days in a row, got bounced around 3 times, waited at least 15 mins each time to talk to a person who did not know exactly how to look up an order!

The radio is great to have, however if you have any issues with it, you can not trust anything the customer service reps say. We were told they would cancel our subscription after my husbands work car was recalled and we no longer had access or need for the service, however continued to receive two more bills. When calling to resolve this issue, a mistake made by one of their reps, we spoke to 3 different people who said completely different things and basically said we were out of luck and unable to receive a refund for two separate billing cycles. In summary, the supervisor was completely okay with us walking away and taking a financial hit for multiple errors made by Sirius. Terrible service, untrustworthy company, and uninformed employees. Sad but this level of service seems to be the standard among these large companies.

These guys are a real pain in the rear!!!
So I have had my car for quite some time now. I got it pretty much the last day of 2008 for my 2009 vehicle. It said it came equipped with Sirius radio for 6 months. Sweet. Too bad I never checked it out or remembered to half the time. Doh!
Fast forward six years later and I get a few offers in the mail for five months of Sirius radio for only $ 20. Hmm. Not bad considering they charged $ 14.99 a month. Sure, why not? I paid, and I got five months of service.
I guess I had the middle package, but basically only listened to one station. I really liked it except for the fact that the station it was named after played that group every other song pretty much, with a few other artists being over played. I could get over that, but when my radio would go out under every overpass and sometimes a random cloud, it was getting old. Not to mention that one time it shot out a loud shriek sound that had my ears ringing for over a half hour again. Luckily that was once and that better be it.
Well, my card had expired before the five month trial was over so I shrugged it off. I was not going to bother calling and getting bugged to stay. Big mistake. These guys actually have the nerve to acquire a balance on your account without telling you until weeks later in the mail.
Fine. I should have called. Whatever. I will pay this one month of service that goes out all the time and call it a day since I was not proactive. I call. It tells me I have a balance of $ 51 and if I want to pay now. W… T…F!!! Hell no. I shout «NO!» numerous times into those stupid options of making you speak into them until I finally got a person.
I explained numerous times that I was not paying this amount monthly. (Oh yeah, btw, what they had done is charged me three months at once). I said the guy never once told me this. I continued to explain over and over that I am not paying this much per month for something that goes out all the time. She said, «But that is what you agreed to.» I also did not agree to three months at once and having it go out all of the time and now I am cancelling.
She gets someone else on the phone, and we go through this again. I then say I will only stay if I can get the Turbo station. My husband has it in his new car and I loved it, but no way at that rate. So she bugs and bugs me until I get the highest package possible where I can also get it online and on my phone for $ 8 a month for six months, all up front of course. This was after I rejected paying $ 99 up front for a year at a «discounted» rate. I confirmed that I would get Turbo. I paid. I will cancel in June before it skyrockets in price.
I check my car the next day. No new stations. I finally call and «reset» my radio and sit outside of a Ralphs for 15 minutes while I have to leave my radio on. I shop and come back. I got a few sports channels and that was it.
DAMN IT!
I call again and go through this again where I am told that this channel is online only and my husband’s car has the new equipment. Well thank you previous lady for lying out of your ass to get a sale considering you knew I had a 2009. Also I believe you telling me I got another special rate because I said I actually liked it when it worked was a load of crap. I demanded cancellation and a refund. I get bugged more. He mentions other stations that are supposedly similar. Fine. I already paid. If these four other ones are decent I will wait it out, otherwise you will get me calling again and not stopping until I get my damn refund.
Otherwise, I will be cancelling in June after I go through this pure hell again unless you give me some crazy offer that makes it worth it. The customer service is actually friendly, but they do not give up. I also can’t stand being lied to.

In 2004 i purchased a Sirius Life Time subscription with HOWARD STERN channels ¹⁰⁰⁄₁₀₁ for 600 $. After recently changing my Car radio and paying $ 84 to transfer my subscription, SIRIUS XM has removed Howard Stern channels ¹⁰⁰⁄₁₀₁ from my channels. After speaking with Customer service and escalating my case i was told the only solution is to now Pay for Howard Stern. This violates the contract i signed! I have had my service taken away from me and punished for changing my Car Radio!

Well dayum.
So much for being the FTR!!! Evidently I’m not the only person with a crab up my azz when it comes to Sirius XM.

Like most, I obtained a «free trial» of Sirius upon purchasing a new car years and we’re talking YARRRZ’ ago. I chose to renew it, NOT because of their inundation of radio options but to continue making use of the GPS/​Navi– options.
FIVE YEARS LATER —– and it appears that these baz’terds have consistently managed to define just what a deplorable experience is and exemplify less than pleasing customer service on more than a routine basis.

No matter what time you phone into this joint, you’re GUARANTEED to reach someone alleging their name to be «David» or «Susan» when you know diddly’ dayum well, it’s really «Enwelumokwu» or some junk.
This ^ ^ is AFTER you’re placed on hold for a time frame so long you think you’ve been disconnected.

The music and programming will always and inevitably repeat itself. NO MATTER WHAT STATION YOU’RE LISTENING TO. There is NO option to skip requiring subscribers to additionally contemplate WTF they’re paying for…

Sirius, If you’re e-​mailing me a confirmation of my payment upon disconnecting the phone call…, then WHY IN THE NAME OF ALL THINGS HOLY do you need to bill me the price of an unwanted monthly invoice?
Wouldn’t it make all the more sense just to e-​mail that too???

It only took me FIVVVE years (sighs…) but I’ve come to the conclusion that «Listener Care» ain’t exactly been listening.
Aside of their overall name being disingenuous, it should go without stating that I can’t fathom myself subscribing to this service much longer.
There are WAYYYYY too many options around to stream music (Pandora, Spotify, Amazon, etc.) and with this service not exactly qualifying as a necessity alongside the fact that I can totally pull up Google Maps using my Galaxy rendering the GPS/​Navi– I pay $ 15.95 a month for — completely obsolete.
In turn, Sirius, I leave you with these last words: IT’S BEEN REAL, bitchezzz.

You have a knack for taking away great stations, and moving them to the online medium to make you loyal customers pay more money. I wonder if I can charge my clients for a lifetime service, then give them less service year after year and still retain them. I will not recommend SiriusXM Radio​to anyone I know.

I signed up for Sirius about a year and half ago. Thus far I really have enjoyed it. Recently I took a new job and barely drive anymore; thus I decided to cancel as I rarely drive the way I used to and it doesn’t seem worth paying $ 150+ for a service that I barely use. What I experienced when I called to cancel was ridiculous. The customer service rep was pushy and kept putting me on hold, I guess in hopes that I would change my mind due to the ridiculous back and forth. Finally she came back on and said ‘you are canceling due to cost correct? I said ‘yes, as I don’t use it, so therefore it is no longer worth spending the money.’ Her response was ’ ohhh you have financial problems’. Really?! I’ve never experienced such rudeness. For a second I thought about keeping it but after experiencing that level of rudeness I would never give them money again.

With Spotify, Pandora, and Internet radio, there are a lot of better options than working with these folks. They have had multiple legal issues regarding deceptive advertising practices. Sadly after 7 years as a happy and loyal customer, it seems that I’ve fallen victim to the Sirius XM family of scammers.
I am extraordinarily disappointed with this company. After 7+ years of being a loyal customer, Alex (a customer service supervisor) just informed me that you retroactively changed the terms of service on your «lifetime membership» and that it is, in fact, no longer being honored as I purchased it. In fact, I had it transferred a year ago this week due to my car being totaled but I’m now told by Alex that this transfer was done in error. This is a ridiculous scam and you should be ashamed of this policy. Shame on you for taking advantage of your longest term customers this way. After my non-​productive call with Alex, he suggested that I fill out a contact form on your website. Is this how you treat people?

I’m on my 3-​month trial and I’m finding that there are way too many commercials. For a PAID subscription that costs between $ 15 to $ 17 a month, SiriusXM is very disappointing.
Additionally, the quality of streaming is below 2015 standards. It appears to me to be a 64kb stream, which is below the 15-​year old 128kb of what MP3s used to start out with. The 64kb stream has a lot of compression that makes listening to music and talk radio even below FM, but better than AM radio.
If you are going to charge me monthly money, I want ZERO commercials and higher quality. If it costs $ 2 – 3 per month, I can probably get by with a few commercials, but again the quality needs to be better than FM radio. Otherwise, I don’t plan on renewing my subscription on my new car.

Got a free trial with my new car. My favorite station is pop2k and for the most part its a good station. At 1^st I was in awe as to how many hit songs I haven’t heard in years hearing them again for the first time. But just like FM radio, eventually the same songs kept on repeating. Same with other stations like the blend, Hits1, Venus and the decades stations. There are some days where they play really great music and other days you’re spending more time tuning the radio than you are listening.
The online listening is a nice feature but once my trial ends its an extra $ 4 a month. I’ll probably pay for a few more months once my trial ends but then I might cancel

Please, I beg you find another music service provider!
Even if somehow — which isn’t possible due to the scam — you paid more for a music service provider.
An hour and a half to cancel service! Was hung up on once and discounted another.
The whole story: Special offer for $ 30 for 6 months turned into a free radio that I refused and was told Sirius would not ship. Well, a week later a home radio showed up at my door step called to ask them why, «that will be $ 50 cancelation fee and you pay shipping and handling». All for an item that I didn’t want in the first place, knowing they would pull some shady stunt.

I have been a Sirius XM customer for many years, even before they became one company (just Sirius back then). They have been paid on time every year.
I recently worked out a deal with them where I would get 5 month’s service for $ 22.77. They wanted my credit card info but I said look at my history, I only pay you by check. On June 1^st I received the bill, which was fine. On June 5^th I received a second bill, saying it was due NOW. Rather than deal with any more of their crap I mailed out my check, thereby ensuring the continued solvency of this fine corporation.
On June 10^th I got a somewhat threatening email saying I was accumulating charges and my service was in danger of being cut off. I wrote them back, asking what the hell was wrong with them, the check has been sent, and to please leave me alone.
Today (⁶⁄₁₁) I received a voice mail reminding me about my open balance. I called their customer service (my voice has now been to India, even though I’ve never been there). Let’s see if their rep follows through and eliminates any further billing requests. What an annoying company…

I love Sirius. I listen all day 6 – 7 hours at a time. I would give 5 stars for the constant but only 1 for their sucky customer service. I have been getting email after email phone call after phone call saying that my service will be cut off if I don’t pay my bill right away. When I look at my account online or when I call them I am told it’s a mistake my account is paid in full. Each time it happens I have to get a manager to correct it.
If I did love the service and the fact that it is only radio signal I c pick up in my downtown Manhattan office I would be long gone.

The reason that made me angry was the non stop, 10 phone calls a day from XM Radio at 8am 12pm 3pm 8pm every single day I had not paid. I’ve paid you guys over 3000 over the years and you are harassing me non stop. Do not call me, I will pay when I get around to it, if you have a problem just cut my radio and shut up please. I have never been more angry at a service in my life.
The reason I’m writing is I have been a subscriber since day one and always paid my bill on time. I renew it every year online whenever I get the chance. This time I guess I missed it by a couple days and I have the DO NOT AUTO RENEW option set… somehow they told me it got auto-​renewed and then I was late on a payment so now I owed 17.95… I did not know this was a «late payment» just what I currently owned so I paid it and my radio got turned back on. Then the phone calls started again… we are up to 46 phone calls in the past month about my payment that is set to do not auto renew. I have told them ¾ times on the phone STOP CALLING ME. I still get the phone calls, I will renew online at my leisure but just letting you know you are a POS for this tactic.
I love the channels, I love most of the music, and I love Howard Stern.
Couple things… to help you guys out.
The comedy channels… please with all my heart REMOVE THE LAUGHTER of people in the background, it is absolutely crap all you can hear is background static/​noise and the volume of ALL the comedy channels constantly fluxes from LOUD to SOFT. These channels are worthless and can not stand to listen to them for more than 30 seconds. All my friends have the same issues with them.

Finally got my refund from SiriusXM today…
It only took 3 ½ months – way to go SiriusXM! Here’s the rub: the check came from the SiriusXM «Listener Care Team» in Washington DC. Listener Care?
I REALLY, REALLY wanted Sirius to be good… especially the in-​home hardware. But you guys REALLY, REALLY suck. The ultra slow refund is the frosting on the cake. I could have walked from Minneapolis to Washington DC and back to get the check and it would have been faster. What a joke.

This review has nothing whatsoever to do about content. Everyone knows what Sirius is and what they offer. Whenever I get a new car, I debate whether or not to add it. The programming and selection is great, the sound quality, not so much. Even through my BMW Premium sound system, the music is thin and tinny. The quality of regular FM HD is FAR superior. In my car, I usually opt to listen to my iPod or FM, with Sirius a distant third.
Now, where Sirius TOTALLY drops the ball is Customer Service. It’s HORRIBLE. How horrible? In the five times I have called them to transfer a subscription from one car to another, I have been disconnected many, may times. The same person who answers the call cannot do this and needs to reach another member of another team (also in India) and then has to go back and forth several times before this is accomplished. They are unable to add remaining time on one subscription to another and all of this is rarely, if ever easily accomplished. It should be simple. Their customer service could not possibly be worse.
Today, it literally took me 5 phone calls for a total of 75 minutes to cancel my old subscription and activate my new. And, rest assured, when this subscription is near an end, they will bombard me with offers to get me to continue and, once again, doing so will be tedious. It’s 2014! Customer service is EVERYTHING! There is one bright spot, however… You will not get the familiar «please remain on the line for a brief survey about your experience» Apparently, they know just how badly they suck.
