I don’t know if this is owned by the ones who own Snafu, but this one is way better regardless. The bartender was male, so that changed the environment a bit unlike the other Snafu where it’s a meat market. It was a more friendly environment. The Moscow mules were good. And did someone say popcorn? Yummy!

I don’t especially love it here but I’ve ended up here several times in the past few months and every single time I got wasted out of my mind that the ride home was a complete blur. The beer pong table in the back is good for big groups and they have some arcade games to keep you busy while you wait(sometimes for a while) for your pitchers. It’s an a-okay divey sorta place that can be a lot of fun. Just don’t expect tooooo much and keep an open mind and go with the party flow.

Went here with coworkers for a quick after work pre-game drink(well for some of us). It’s kind of a sports bar with a nicer décor and feel. Very similar to the bars in Murray Hill. Our server was very nice and patient with us, considering that half of us wanted to sit at a table and the other half wanted to sit at the bar and we were playing what was pretty much the saddest game of «chicken»(the table people won). She fielded drinks from all of us with a smile, and came back several times to replenish our popcorn bowls, which was very tasty as a bar snack. The music was old-school 90s R&B, which was hilariously out of place for this type of bar. They have a number of beer and cocktail specials. It’s not a place where I would spend an evening, but it makes a decent place for a pit stop.

Came here this past Saturday to celebrate my birthday. I left my card at the bar go open a tab. By the time I went to close it out, they claimed to not have my card. At this point I thought I was going insane, because someone was paying for those drinks. I raised my voice a little bit, but the bartender was not too friendly either way. I was just looking to go home and close out. So I asked the other bartender for if and she said the same thing. At this point I’m fed up, I go home. The next morning I wake up, with a push notification on my phone with an $ 80 charge from snafu. Does this place have a personal vendetta against its customers? I am never coming here again. Thanks for ruining my birthday!

Having just walked by the OTHER Snafu location, I was not expecting much from this one. But hey, there’s free popcorn(nice and buttery), they’ve got all the games on(Mets and Thursday Night Football and hockey), and seating is plentiful at the tall tables. Service was friendly and the music was great. The beer selection was pretty boring; I went with a Sam Adams Oktoberfest. I’m not sure I would stop by on a weekend night, but it was the perfect spot for sportsball viewing. Looks like they have great happy hour specials.

OK! I came for my birthday and must say I WASVERYDISAPPOINTED, UPSET&NOT A HAPPYCAMPER! For starters on their website CLAIMED Happy Hour All Night… WRONG!!! If I would have known that I would NOT have chosen the place. The music was terrible! If your looking for variety, good music after work don’t go HERE! The place was extremely hot like no air circulating whatsoever. And these idiots had the audacity to have inexperienced waiters and bartenders running the show on a FRIDAYNIGHT! Was very displeased and management was not any help. It took at least 15 – 20 min to get a drink and then when I went through the waiter she mixed the drinks up –_– not cool. Lastly don’t come her hungry as there isn’t any food there and unfortunately you’re better off just bringing your food in advance. Service sucks and wasn’t able to order anything online. Very disappointed as I had quite a good amount of family and friends come out to have majority have a sour taste in your mouth. I come back for the sole reason that I appreciated Carlos’ amazing customer service experience. Cheap drinks in NYC are great, but being taken care of by someone who understands the customer is above and beyond.

Good place for a quick drink. Divey, considering the area. Have $ 5 shots from yager to jack Daniels honey. Very friendly bartenders, hi Chad! $ 8 margaritas, but didn’t try

Went on a Tuesday night, spacious with enough but not too many people, and reasonably priced drinks. I ordered an $ 8 mojito, my first ever mojito, but I thought it was sub-standard. Got me good though, so I will not complain. Will check out again on a weekend!

Only went here because some co-workers at some temp job wanted to do a Cinco De Mayo celebration. Let’s put it this way. I loved my co-workers, but I did not love this place. The bartender wore a Hooters-type outfit, tight white shirt and short-shorties. *YAWN* The music is typical top 40, nothing to write home about. One of my co-workers later complained she ripped him off. However, I think the bartender might have given me a free shot.

Saturday night, lots of space(not quite The Saturday night hot spot) at the bar for our ever-expanding group. Friendly bartenders. Average prices. DJ playing music which encourages dancing. Tables in the back for beer pong. Feel free to channel your college self(or be embarrassed at how awful you are at beer pong now!) with a pitcher and cups purchased from and provided by the bar. Like the other Snafu, no kitchen and and bringing in your own food is a-ok. Heck, our bartender even heated up our(by then) cold pizza in a microwave for us!

Good bar with a good ambience for a Friday night ! The drinks are decently pricey too. If in the neighborhood, check it out ! The service is good and bartenders are nice and not as rude as some others in the area

Came here for a decoy bachelorette party. Bar patrons were more than willing to play along, and we managed to pull off the con. Plus they have big buck hunter!

Unassuming bar on a very run of the mill neighborhood street. I was just a passer by on a cold winter’s day, in need of some warmth of the whiskey variety before I hopped on the subway. There were only 2 other patrons on this Saturday afternoon, so seats were ample, service was stellar, the beer we had was crisp and fresh(a rare thing nowadays in a a neighborhood bar with taps), the whiskey was generously poured. No complaints, very convenient to grab a quick one on the way to the subway station!

This place does bad business, stay away if you can!!! I reserved a space for my holiday party here two weeks ago in person and as a back up online. And then the Tuesday before my Friday event they send me an e-mail, not even a phone call, that the space I already reserved was booked. With a lame apologies, didn’t even try to make any effort to right their wrong. Now I’m out a venue, no one answers their phones, and no one seems to return emails. This place operates on back business tactics. It’s completely understandable why they don’t sell food because they’re losing money with this less than stellar service. Your best bet is to just stay away from this place.

3 Stars for cheap drinks. The diversity of the crowd here can vary soooooooo much as well as the traffic. I’ve stopped by after work on nights when you could hear a pin drop, and on others when you can’t even make your way to the bar. OK place to grab a not too expensive drink if you’re in the neighborhood. Just be careful who you talk to, because there were some really GROSSSS and offensive guys who wouldn’t leave my friend and I alone a few months ago. I almost never returned because of that, but glad I decided to give this place another shot. All and all… it’s OK. Very hit or miss. Just be prepared to watch your back and steer clear of the shady folks!

First of all, for all the regulars @snafu28: TEAMWILL !!! This place is currently my favorite bar in the city. Best after work place due to the bartenders, the digital juke box, the dj, the choice of entertainment, and the lighting! Drinks are great, space is comfortable and although it is around the corner from Park Avenue, the prices are Brooklyn prices. Good for after work, meeting friends or colleagues, super bowl, post date bar.

Right across my office! Which might be dangerous now that I finally had a chance to drop in for a beer after a long day at work recently. I kind of liked this spot. Now I have another place to help add to my alcoholism which doesn’t make my liver too happy. At least they had Shiner on tap and an ok to decent beer selection. From what I gathered Snafu 28 offers decent drink prices. Some beer and cocktail specials listed on boards over the bar. Some tables in the front and in the back of the place. Around a half dozen large flat screens showing the games. Laid back vibe and free popcorn at the long bar with plenty of stools. Nice staff and bartenders. I think on certain nights there is a DJ here too. It’s one of those incognito bars that doesn’t scream«here I am, let’s party» but the kind of spot you’ll find locals hiding out for a few beers or the after-work crowd gathering for a few cocktails before heading out for the night.
