Overpriced and unhappy waitress. It was cash only although there’s a sign that says they take all credit cards. Will never come here again.

I was exploring Soho and wanted to what was near my hotel at the Soho Grand. Came by this cute little café. I only had 45min to eat and order so I just got a quick bagel with salmon lox, cream cheese, onion, and tomato. I also got the steamed soy. The bagel was really good. They toasted it and it came out very fresh and delicious. The steamed soy was good too. Overall I enjoyed my solo quick brunch here. I didn’t think the service was great, but they were quick with their food and it tasted good to me.

Horrible. Service and food horrid. Don’t order the burger(it tasted like old moldy beef) and pizza was inedible.

Just discovered this tiny Café when I was early for a salon appointment on Thompson Street! Had a yummy cappuccino, relaxed at one of the wooden tables ! Lots of goodies too ! Very comfortable… I could have lingered longer !!!

Sat down to have a quick bite, but changed our minds & decided on a to-go strawberry smoothie(once we realized the lone waiter was never coming over to take our order). The man behind the counter handling to-go orders called down to the basement(through a hole in the floor) for strawberries. Up came a hand with a glass of strawberries. The glass was placed on the dirty floor by the man’s feet. He then took the dirty glass of strawberries, poured lemonade on top of it and blended it. In what world does a strawberry smoothie mean a dirty glass filled with strawberries blended with lemonade? Run away. Fast.

I came here because I was too early for an appointment and decided to grab a bite. I ordered iced tea and tuna avocado sandwich. Food was okay. Service, not okay. There was only one server! Can’t blame her. She looked exhausted.

What a weirdly un-pleasant place despite being in a great location and cute décor. I walked in to get an iced coffee today, and was shocked when they told me it was $ 4.75 for a small ice latte BEFORE tax. My final bill $ 5.15 — for an iced latte! What?! To top that the coffee was awful! So bad, i’m not even sure how you make latte taste that bad. Extremely sad that a cute place is so uninspiring. Not getting my business again.

The food was mediocre and priced a little high for what it was. also, the waitress said they weren’t taking credit cards and after asking her where the closest ATM was she turned on their credit card machine. Bad service ruins an experience always.

My first time here was pretty disappointing. Our server never smiled and barely spoke a word to us. She never asked me how I wanted my eggs cooked or if I wanted something to drink, so I had to come back to her for that. My almost croissant was not a real croissant. The texture was odd, the shape flat, and the almond was actually amaretto flavoring in the center. Bathroom was filthy, with a scrubbing brush just lying on the floor. On my way there, servers standing around chatting wouldn’t move out of the path. The only pro was the pretty good latte.

New owners? Really? I always try to visit Le Petite Café when visiting NYC. Are there new owners?

I used to come here years ago but I think it is new owners. Great music! Cozy. Terrible food! The service was no better! My lemon merange pie was So stale and such a small piece I was pretty surprised when I saw it. And the merange is supposed to be soft. It was hard. When I asked the waiter he said it is supposed to be like that?! I could not even finish it. It tasted awful and I was afraid it would make me sick. The waitress was banging dishes around and seemed in a bad mood. The best part was listening to the waitress put the owner down then listening to them argue. I live in NYC. Boy have things changed.

Terrible food! Asked for cheese on my sandwich and they put that commercial stuff that is not actually cheese. Then there was a long hair in my husband’s omelette! Eeeew. Never again

Had a great experience here. Maybe I’m just used to «french» style service. Anyways ordered the tuna avocado, and I must say it’s quite good. Clean simple good food.

Breakfast menu after 1pm is an additional $ 1 surcharge. Unfortunately for me, I wanted the French toast, while me friend ordered the waffles. The waffles were so bland and dry like cardboard. The waitress was a robot, unattentive and took so long. The french toast was a-ok. The total bill was $ 23!!! They added a service charge, but I tipped $ 3 anyway. Paid and ran! Never returning.

It can be hard to find a café in SoHo where you won’t get a glare or two for camping out for a bit with a book. Looks like I found one! Le Petit Café has a very relaxed atmosphere, and great coffee. Shopping and spa adjacent, it’s a great respite for a day out.

I came here to have lunch with my husband and still cannot believe what happened while I was there. I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered the fish from an incredibly ambivalent and inattentive waiter. After 45 minutes, we asked where my husband’s food was as mine had already come. The waiter then accused my husband of not ordering the fish properly! He actually blamed my husband!!! We waited 15 more minutes and then got up to leave. When he saw this, he went to the kitchen, yelled in a foreign language, and then brought out a hastily put together plate of undercooked tilapia and some cold vegetables(they were supposed to be hot). I told the man I wasn’t paying for that and then he RIPPED the credit card out of my hands! My husband confronted him for his aggressiveness and the man grabbed my husband’s face and spoke to him in his own language forcefully. The elderly boss came upon the situation and scolded the waiter while the waitress from the front of the café threw my card back at me and venomously told us never to return. Yep. It really happened. The bill would’ve been $ 75 for a bad plate of hummus, a sandwich, an undercooked tilapia and two juices. Never come here.

If I could give this place a negative 1 I would! The food was horrible and worst than the food was the service. There was a female waiter that was so rude, slamming menus down, walking away when you tried to talk to her… luckily we had the male waiter, luckily for us he wasn’t rude but his service was lacking. I had a mozzarella, spinach and sundried-tomato sandwich; the spinach tasted like it had dirt in it and the sandwich was extremely dry. My boyfriend had a chicken Parmesan sandwich, the chicken was overcooked and hard. I would never visit this place again, so sorry I didn’t check Unilocal before we selected this place.

This café looks cute when you first walk in, but if you decide to sit down and grab a bite be prepared to eat crap and pay out of your nose for it. I went here with my girlfriend as a pit stop. We wanted to grab a nice mocha coffee and some pie and we decided to get a salad and some French fries as well. My French fries tasted like bland day old McDonalds fries and the mocha ice coffees were just coffee with chocolate syrup at the bottom. Total the bill was over $ 50 and I left with a feeling of disgust for what we just paid for. I just hope this place is repurposed or is taken over by new owners.

Excuse moi? Le Petit is not a great place for lunch. Soho is pretty high dollar already and after spending over $ 50, I expect to have some damn good food. The menu items appear to be innocuous but beware the food is worst than what I would get at a diner. They either need to step up their game or charge much less for their food. I would not eat here again due to the price and food quality. The steak sandwich is made with low grade beef(think Philly cheesesteak) and was lukewarm by the time I got it. The bread was a little too chewy and I had a hard time biting into it. I would expect a higher grade strip of steak. Maybe that’s asking for too much at $ 13 for the order. I know I can get a real nice piece of steak for that price outside of Manhattan. It comes with a side of French fries which were perfectly salted. Hey if you’re here for the views of Soho women, you found the right spot. They are chowing down on some petite bites while enjoying the warm sunny day. If you’re here for real food, fugeddaboutit! Tip is already included. No need to add any more on top unless you’re really into that waitress. The credit card machine was conveniently«out of service» for 15 minutes. We insisted on waiting instead of paying cash.

The café itself seems like it’s seen better days, and not in a fun hole-in-the-wall way. It’s weird because it’s sit-down, but almost everyone was just having a coffee or snack(which was what we also had). They did redeem themselves with their croissants — but I’d say skip the sit-down and just get it to go.
