Soraya Selles – Bellmarc

I was looking to move to New York city and live in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. I found a couple of Soraya’s listings online and got in touch with her. I found her team to be very personable and attentive to my needs.
I realized during my apartment search that most agents have access to all apartment listings in NYC and can show them to you, but Soraya is the ONLY one who can get you in front of the application queue and get it done for you. She and her team are very professional and keep you in the loop throughout the process. I never felt the need to call her up and see where the apartment application stood at because she made it a point to update me every couple of hours. I had to put off my search for a few days and restart it later and during that time, I never got any pesky calls asking me to view apartments and anything else.
Soraya went out of her way to get things done while working within my limitations. She even personally got in touch with my landlord in Chicago from three years ago and got them to write a letter of reference for me. Saved me a lot of trouble. Her team of Kieth and Jennifer took me around a couple days and very patiently showed me various apartments within my criteria.
In my case, she was working with some very severe limitations in terms of budget, location and size and guess what she found me an AMAZING RENT STABILIZED unit in Manhattan, literally two steps from the subway. It was literally a dream apartment which I would have never got had I gone with someone else. The only reason I got the apartment (which was way out of my league) was because Soraya made sure my application got ahead of the ones in line with her influence and contacts. Her team of Kieth and Jennifer were a pleasure to work with.
I will say it again, Work with Soraya and she and her team will go out of their way to get it done for you. I would very highly recommend her services.

This was going to be my first apartment. I wanted to find the perfect place. I saw a few places here and there. Finally one day I met Soraya at Bellmarc. She listened to what I desired in an apartment and my price-​range. Soraya used everything I told her and came up with a great game-​plan. Fast forward to present day, and I’m living in my dream spot.

Soraya helped us in getting a great apt. on the upper west side! She helped a long process be short and effective. She was reassuring and helpful every step of the way. Would work with her again if we have to move again in the city.

Being a relatively new transplant in NYC, this is my second time working with a broker in NYC in 2 years (yes I move quite often). Needless to say, the rental market in NYC is pretty cut throat for a tenant and its usually based on a first-​come-​first-​serve basis and not to mention the amount of emphasis the landlords place on credit scores. So for a newbie like me, I cannot really compete with the locals on that respect, however, with Soraya’s guidance and advise based on her massive experience in the property market, I managed to find my dream apartment (based on my budget and other criteria). Not to mention her colleague — Gabriel who was always ready to show me around (sometimes a few apartments more than once). Their quick thinking skills and astuteness –which very few brokers in the market have is definitely an asset to Bellmarc and any other firm they work in. Soraya helped me find an incredible apartment in just a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. I told her my price range and the specifics I was looking for in my ideal apartment, and she had me looking within 30 minutes! Being relatively new to the city and the apartment hunting process, Soraya put me at ease and respected my price constraint wishes, and even answered many practical questions about moving in the city! Soraya was very available to answer any questions as I had them and on time to all appointments – most importantly, she helped me find an absolutely wonderful apartment! i highly recommend Soraya!

Soraya helped my husband and I find our dream apartment in the upper west side! I cannot stress enough how wonderful and dedicated she is. We arrived late Friday night at her office and she took us to see 5 places that evening. Once we got back to her office, we started filling out applications until 1am. I’ve never heard of a realtor putting in that much time and giving up her Friday night to help us out since we had to leave Monday to go back to DC (where we were moving from).
Her commitment to finding us a place shined through! Once the leasing offices opened back up Monday morning, she was there first thing at 8am speaking with landlords and management companies on our behalf doing everything possible to make sure they picked our application (and that we were approved)!
She kept me in the loop during every step of the process and even worked with us on realtor fee payments and how to use the subway. I cannot say enough good things about her services.
