The pizza is delicious, but I feel like the race card was pulled. I walked in with a friend, no one asked us if they could help us, or even, that someone will be with you in a minute. I asked a guy by the register(after already standing there for about 4 – 5 min.), Manny, a question about the size of a pizza and he replied very snardy and snappy; gave me attitude for no apparent reason. I wasn’t nasty, I said excuse me, but ok. My friend says to me, look around you, we’re the ones standing out; one Latino and one black. The waitress comes past the register and I tell her I want to put in an order. A gentleman walks in behind us(let me remind you that she was also behind the counter, less than 2ft, when we walked in and saw us standing by the register too and never said a word), she greets him and tells him she’ll be with him in a second. The guy Manny comes back to the register and now he wants to act nice because I actually put in order. I’m very disappointed. My job orders from them all the time, and not small orders either. I only took my friend there because I like the pizza, but I’m never coming here again and I’m going to my coordinator to stop ordering from here when we have events. So disappointed :(

Waitress never came around. We saw her once. We still haven’t seen the pizza. We ordered an hour ago. We asked the host what the status of our pie was, he talked to someone then walked away. If the pizzas good, the service is shit. Not coming back here again. Edit: we finally got our pizza, after complaining. Waitress said sorry for the wait and she mentioned there was a delay, but not what for, and I said we would have appreciated an update and she said she was«busy with other things.» Good to know the clientele was a priority. /s Pizza came and it looked like they just whipped it together. Not sure if that’s the case but it didn’t have enough sauce, and I’m not big on a lot of sauce on my pie. The mozzarella was barely melted, and just lacked cohesiveness. It wasn’t terrible, but it was seasoned with a long wait and inattentive service and not good enough to overcome those bitter flavors. Overall meh. Service was severely lacking and I’ve had much better margherita pizza at fairly random spots before. I don’t recommend the place but go at your own risk.

Came here on a Monday night for an event, we ordered pitchers of beer $ 26 and the regular pies. I thought the service was super spotty… I waited almost 15 minutes to try to get a drink. No one was at the bar, then the waitress was barely around. They need more people if they know its going to be busy! Anyway I did think the pizza was delicious, super super thin crust. I was somehow not too full after I ate literally half of a large pie. not sure if this is a good or bad thing? I will probably come back to try the mushroom pizza since I heard that one is good along with other items on the menu.

This is the place to go if you want the Best Thin Crust Pizza of your life. I don’t know how they do it, but even a diabetic person could eat the whole thing! Prices good. Ambience was nice, casual. For two people we shared the Caesar salad, the prosciutto roll ups and one pizza. Salad had good a good hint of anchovies and wasn’t overly garlicky. Prosciutto roll ups were amazing and came with this super delicious green sauce and lots of arugula. Must get. Then the pizza… OMG…yummy!!! We finished off our meal with the apple pie with vanilla ice cream. This was also sooooo goooood. I can’t wait to return!!!

This was my go to spot when I worked in the West Village. The lunch specials are really good. I usually get the two slice for $ 5 with a free drink. The slices are rather small but don’t be fooled. It’ll satisfy you. The place is cute. It’s fill with booths. I’ve never had issues waiting for a seat. I’ve brought quite a few people here for dinner and they loved it. I highly recommend the shroomtown. It has truffle oil and it’s to die for. Keep in mind that they are thin crust pizza so it’s not your average New York pizzeria. The meat lover is amazing as well. To start off, I recommend the garlic bread with cheese and the rotella. You can end the night with the bread pudding a la mode. It’s sooooo good. They serve beer, wine, and a small selection of spirits. The wine is served in a highball glass though which is a little weird to me. The place is clean and the service is great. The servers always recommend the best choice in terms of food so if you have any questions you can trust them for their opinion.

What a pleasant surprise. Not sure why it is not packed as Rubiorsa or even more. This pizza will sing to you. There is a reason that shroomstown is famous. Nothing like I have ever tasted before. Meaty mushrooms. Pizza with loaded umami. That pizza knows how to stand on it’s own because that crust is something else, that crust can stand on it’s own even with a shit ton load of arugula and other stuff on top like their parma. Their happy hour can be worked on. Regular price beer bogo. Im full from the pizza can’t take in too much beer. Just make it 3.50 or something. The other happy hour is a pitcher with plain pizza. I’m sure their plain would be fabulous but that shroomstown. It’s a must. Will be back real soon.

Extremely satisfying place. Nice vibe, friendly service. The pizza is thin crust and makes use of a wide range of ingredients. The salads are also extremely tasty – particularly the cheddar apple salad with toasted pumpkin seeds. It’s become a very special neighborhood place that my girlfriend and I always look forward to. Super friendly and warm service also. My only hesitation is that the cocktails are honestly not great. Otherwise it would have been five stars.

The thin crust pizza is the best around and it’s made with fresh ingredients and is very tasty. I always order for lunch at my job and they deliver in a timely manner. Also nice and friendly service as well. I highly recommend this place.

So so good. I never thought pizza could get as thin as Spunto makes it. Prices are decent(~20 for a personal pie and wine), nice staff, good seating, in and outdoors, and good enough wine selection for the price.

I am deeply in love with this amazing pizza place.(5⁄5 for their gourmet pizza). They take phone calls for delivery. The shroomtown is absolutely amazing! It’s amazing and so unique that how rich and flavorful mushrooms can be! I love the shroomtown thin crust pizza even more than the shroom burger at shake shack — in addition to the rich and soft cheese and flavorful mushroom… The marinara sauce balances the richness of cheese and mushrooms; the white truffle oil is definitely the highlight too! YUMYUM! Other pizzas are very tasty too. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for thin crust quality pizza in NYC.

We were looking for a pizza place and came across this restaurant and decided to pop in on a whim. It turned out to be a good experience! The servers were friendly and the service was good. I liked the ambiance, it’s a little dark in here but feels very comfortable. We got their mushroom pizza to share and it was the perfect size for sharing between two people. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had but it was still delicious and I would for sure come back here again. Sounds like this place also has good happy hour/drink specials but unfortunately they did not have anything like that going on when we were there.

OK, so it was four years ago that I ate here, but I am just now writing a review. My first visit to New York was in the summer of 2012, and we made the trip as Pizza Enthusiasts and tried several places over 5 days in Lower Manhattan. All of the pizzas we had on our trip were outstanding, but Spunto was the first one we tried, and like many first loves, it is the most memorable. As we ate here, I distinctly remember thinking this was the best pizza I ever had… the fresh basil leaves, the carmelized onions, the perfect sausage and cheese. And, oh the crust! We plan to return, to sample more of the best of NY, but will return to Spunto, as it is(to us anyway) what NY pizza should taste like.

The pizza and the lasagna were delicious. Service was slow even though the place was not crowded(lost a star for that) Very friendly staff though. If I’m ever back in the area, I might just visit again.

I am a fan of the Vezzo family so when I had their thin crust pizza it was delicious. Its not your cheap tacky thick greasy NY style pizza, this is brick oven. thin, crispy, packed with flavor. You can eat 5 slices be super full but not feel like a total animal because the slices are incredibly thin. Shroomtown is my favorite(for mushroom lovers) it has truffle oil sprinkled, their Veggie is very good too loaded with big chunky greens. Also, their carmalized onion is also a winner.

Well Lush. An expression that describes something that is equally satisfying, comforting and unexpected all at once(like when you wake up at 4am, think it’s 6am and realise you’ve another 2 hours under the warm duvet you hadn’t accounted for — that’s WELLLUSH) Spunto is no frills, warm and comforting. I’m not sure how long it’s been here, but my guess is a long time. Pizza was excellent(I’m not venturing into the whole NY pizza argument, suffice to say it was crispy, full of flavour and satisfying) Apple pie, vanilla sauce and ice cream was as comforting and delicious as it sounds. Cold night, warm glow = well lush.

We came here tonight and I ordered the arugula salad($ 10) with pear, candied pecans, cranberries, cheese and chicken(an extra $ 4). Most of the salads are about $ 10, with the regular caesar salad costing $ 8 and the fancier salads costing $ 12. We sat towards the front of the room in what I would call uncomfortable chairs. The waiters weren’t extra friendly, but they did their job of taking our orders, getting them right, and refilling our water — so no complaints here. My boyfriend got the pizza, which had a super thin crust /base. He seemed to enjoy it, as well as all the other people ordering pizza in Spunto.

As the summer winds down, have to take advantage of the outside seating in the sun as much as humanly possible. No one around for 2pm lunch on a Friday so got immediate seating outdoors. Between two people: got the Bruschetta($ 9) and a large Pepperoni Pizza($ 12). Bruschetta came out first — four large pieces of thin toast with a pesto base and diced seasoned tomatoes on top. Perfect starter to get the appetite flowing. Pizza came out next, cut into eight slices. Oily from the pepperoni, easy to eat, equally spread cheese, extra thin crust. Solid meal all around. I’m not a super fan of thin crust, though if you want a meal to not put you into a coma this is a great option, and at a fair price.

Best NY pizza I’ve had yet! The crust is soooo thin, and the toppings are piled high. We had the mushroom pizza, several kinds of mushrooms with truffle sauce — I’d highly recommend it! Got the house salad and it was mostly red cabbage, which was odd, but it tasted great so we didn’t mind. DEFINITELY check this place out. The pizza is exquisite, and the service is wonderful.

3.5 Stars Spunto is Vezzo’s sister and is a solid choice for thin crust pizza, but I think it is overpriced for the amount of food you get. You can get a much more filling pizza for half the price. However, the salads are also really really good and they are totally reasonably priced. I love the beet salad.

Very good pizza & sandwiches. I got a personal«shroomtown» it was excellent. The mushrooms were fresh& the truffle oil was genius. I love the fact that they use fresh ingredients not canned, you can even taste it in the tomato sauce. The chicken chipotle sandwich was good, perfect amount of spicy. Prices are very reasonable for the area & the service was excellent. I just wish the cocktails weren’t as expensive.
