Church with a cemetery… never seen that before. the church from the outside is pretty :)

This chapel is easily overlooked since it’s a bit run-​down and it in the shadows of the WTC and other attractions. Even the Fulton subway stop seems more grand. But you’d be missing some serious history if you didn’t stop in to take a look. There is George Washington’s bench on display. The pulpit with the crown also has historical significance. It’s a beautiful space that seems like it belongs more in Boston than in NY. It also has a bathroom in the back.

My Dad and I went to this beautiful old historic church a year after the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. The fence surrounding the churchyard was covered with tributes to the innocent victims and I placed my own tribute honoring former Washington Capitals player Garnett «Ace» Bailey who was on board 1 of the unfortunate planes .
I feel that the historic building is well taken care of and that the staff is very friendly and helpful. :)
