Was working on the Lower East Side late night and needed something tasty fast. Far out weighed my expectations when I saw how tiny the place was. What it lacks in ambience, it more than compensates for with flavor. Be prepared to take your order to go. Had two Margherita slices to go. Fabulous! Savory sauce. Fresh mozzarella. A thin, crispy crust to die for. I never eat crusts but I gobbled both down. Get a free can of soda with two slices that have toppings. Will be back! Few drawbacks that aren’t detracting from my overall score: 1) No bathroom. 2) Cramped seating. 3) Limited menu. I got exactly what I sought… Some slamming pizza!

My only go to pizza place. I leave Brooklyn and drive over the bridge just for their slices. Lewis(I think that’s his name) is also a great host — he handles his rambunctious crowd — especially 12 – 4 am on the weekends. Your pizzas are toooooooooo die for. Thin crust sweet sauce cheese delectable– all made to perfection. It’s almost a sin. Love love your pizza. I was told they own a spot in Brooklyn too. Wish I knew the location??? Keep up the great work Guys!!! New owner DONOT change the recipe. And to think this place isn’t Italian. I LoVe New YoRk!

Yummiest pizza in town ! Don’t let the greedy employees that go about working for small business Owners using certain law firms in Manhattan to shake you down for money.

Meh, i’ve had better. The pizza is cooked right, but everything on top, not so much. Drunk this pizza is probably delicious, but sober, it’s worth passing on. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch, not enough chicken, not enough tomato, not enough bacon. I actually barely tasted any chicken to be honest(and didnt see much either). With so many other places, probably wont be coming back here.

Had a slice of margarita pizza. Before I finished it, I made a U-turn for another one. Having another slice with extra sauce.

Magic in my mouth. I got a slice of chicken bacon ranch for $ 3.50. Nice size, fair price, delicious taste. There were a bunch of other toppings that looked bomb as well. I’m visiting from California and I’d say it was the NY pizza experience I was looking for. Seating inside(about 7 spots). Close walk from the subway. Enjoy.

Stanton Pizza NY Manhattan LES 3pm Thursday 31st March 2016 Three Stars I am not sure how this place has a 4.5 Star Rating on Unilocal with 100+ Reviews – Drunk Unilocalers? This is the first time, I have seen an over-inflated rating on Unilocal in NYC. The place is just like every other dollar pizza place: small store front, cheesy sign for $ 1 pizza(until 7pm), 7 places to sit, an over-flowing trash can, and one guy making the pizza and handling the cash. I tried the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Pizza $ 3.5. I would stick with the dollar slice. The crust was cardboard-like with a bit of crunch. The ranch was creamy and had overwhelming herbal flavor. The Chicken was dry, and bacon was not really present. The cheese was okay. The pizza was not bad but nothing to go out of your way to eat.

Funny story about Stanton Pizza: I meant to go to a bar in the LES but turned around when I saw their line was too long and I was starving. So, my boyfriend and I just walked around and randomly found this gem. Little did we know it’s one of the best pizza places in Manhattan we’ve tried. My boyfriend was head-over-heels with their lasagna pizza. I got the usual margherita. The funnier part of the story? The pizza was so good that, after we left, we turned around 10 minutes later to COMEBACK and take more pizza to go. I was impressed by the one man behind the counter doing everything by himself on a busy Saturday night. I also appreciated the Italian mafia posters on the walls — as a fan of The Godfather and Goodfellas, it’s nice when you see your favorite movie characters staring back at you while you enjoy the most scrumptious pizza ever had.

Sicilian square slice($ 3) was probably the best pizza slice I’ve ever eaten. Always ask for the corner slice because they have burnt edges of cheese bursting with flavor! Garlic knots($ 1) are great too!

Come here most days for lunch. The plain $ 1 slices are always awesome, but the Sicilian Slices are on another level. A bit pricier then the plain, sitting at $ 3 but it’s WAY better and more filling, making it worth it.

Came in here after a night out. It was open and had a good Unilocal rating, so why not? I mean, it was pizza. Nothing about it blew me away. I’ve had better, but on the other hand — it wasn’t the worst I’ve had. The cheese was hot and the crust was crispy. It felt a little dirty in there(but that’s probably just because it after hours on a Saturday night). Yup.

Pizza is alright. They have a special where the cheese pizza slice is like $ 1 on some days. The crust was good but the guy barely heated it up because he was in such a hurry to serve as many people as possible. I hate cold pizza.

Who can turn down free pizzas? «How to be single» was giving away free pizzas as part of the movie promotion. I was skeptical at first but decided to put in my address anyways. Half hr later, there was the nicest delivery person at my door struggling with the biggest pizza box I’ve ever held or seen. We didn’t get to choose the pizzeria or the specific order. But I was pleasantly surprised by the portion and quality! I’ve never heard of Stanton Pizza before but it is now our go to for pizza delivery and take out orders! The pizza came piping hot as if it was just taken out of the oven! The cheese was still gooey and stringy when pulled apart! Every part of the cheese was thoroughly melted. The pepperoni carried the perfect amount of spice and crisp. The tomato sauce had the perfect hint of tart and sweetness. The pizza bread was delightfully chewy. Honestly, I already ate dinner before the pizza arrived and somehow I managed to eat through 5 jumbo slices. Game over for new year healthy eating, total win for my inner fatty. Can’t wait til my next slice from Stanton pizza!

Margherita pizza with basil. Pizza sauce was just sweet enough but the NY style thin crust is my favorite. Small but enough room to grab a slice, pull up a chair and enjoy and then be on your way.

This was definitely my second favorite pizza place on my last pizza adventure. I went with the sausage and pepperoni, which was overloaded with meat and cheese. Just how I like it lol. It was a bit greasy, but nothing the good old pat and dry can’t cure. This place is TINY, so be prepared to grab your slice and go. Unless you are there when I was and no one else is there. The best thing about this place may be all of their crazy flavors of pizza like bruschetta. NOMS. I will be back here once the pizza adventure has ended.

So this place is nothing to look at, that is for sure. Passing it, you would probably think it is some generic, crappy spot. I am here to tell you that there plain slice is very solid! Surprisingly good! Not best pizza in the city good, but very respectfully, above average, and excellent value. I will be back.

Just because it’s a little cramped in here, and you’re eager and antsy to get your pizza, and you’re before me in line, is no excuse to Stanton my foot. Please, in future, Mr. Guy-In-The-Knicks-T-Shirt(like they’re ever going to win anything anyway), do not Stanton my foot. Thanks. And if they keep messaging you to buy more pizza from them, it becomes«Spambot Pizza.» And if they help you take a standardized test by giving you free pizza, then it’s «Scantron Pizza.» And of course if they move to Pennsylvania, it becomes«Scranton Pizza.» What to get: Any slice What not to get: Your foot stood on Stanton Pizza isn’t my fave slice in Manhattan(my top three are Bleecker St, Prince St and Patsy’s of 1st Ave Harlem which I just reviewed). However it is still a damn good slice and well worth you trying it. I’ve had a regular cheese & pep slice(which was really good), and a mushroom slice(which was also good, but not hot enough, and needed to be a little saucier perhaps). I enjoyed both of them a lot, and am planning to stop here for a 3rd time next time I do a «NYC Pizza tour.» They were very nice to me and the girl I was with, and she enjoyed the pizza throroughly, but then in her words«she’s never met a pizza she didn’t like.» They’re not open as late as some of the other Village Places(especially Bleecker), and are much more of a quiet, undiscovered neighborhood pizza shop, than a tourist trap or an infamous landmark. I highly recommend everyone stop in for a slice and see what you think. I will certainly be stopping back. It’s tough in a town with so much amazing pizza, but this place makes the grade. Also if you’re in Brooklyn try Luigi’s omn 5th, in Bronx try Louie & Ernie’s sausage slice, and in Queens try Sunnyside’s Garlic Bread Pizza. And if you step on my foot in here again, I might morph into a wrestler and rename this place«Smackdown Pizza.»

Let me tell ya… this place is delicious! I got a bbq chicken pizza with ranch and bacon. It was truly one of the best slices of pizzas I’ve ever had! My friend got a delicious-looking pizza with arugula and prosciutto which also tasted awesome. We were all so content and very reasonable prices. Every nom of my pizza was amazing. Hah. I really loved the amount of crust and dough in general. The perfect combination of topping, sauce, and cheese – this place has been one of the best places I’ve tried!(top list of pizza joints). Would definitely come here again!

As a child I had a hate hate relationship with Pizza. As an adult I’d tolerate it if in a pinch, you know, when nothing else was available. That was before I had a taste of The New York slice! Man I tell you! I would be home in Trini praying for vacation to come so I can get my slices in. To me I have never tasted a bad NY slice and Staton Pizza is no exception. This is my second Sunday here. .consecutively! All the slices looks fresh and yummy. They look so good that I’m tempted to try even the toppings I don’t favor. The crust on both my meat lover(you should have seen the amount of meat!) and plain cheese was crispy yet soft. And even as I got out my napkin to soak up the oil(yeah I’ve been taught well), there really wasn’t a lot. My only(usual) complaint was my meaty was a bit too salty but if you’ve read my reviews, that’s just me. The server was patient with me as I asked him about each slice. And I do mean each slice. His friendly smile remained in place. Who can resist tasty, cheap comfort food!!! Who??? Ima start that diet tomorrow. The End.

Mmm mmmm mmmm. Best pizza by the slice I’ve ever had… that I can remember, at least. It definitely was the best pizza on our recent trip to NYC. It’s a small dive of a place… those are usually the best, right?! No tables, just counter/bar seating for about 10 ppl. $ 3.50 a slice is what I think we paid… heated to order. No cheapy cheese… nice chewy, fold-able crust, great sauce, yummy stretchy cheese… not that greasy cheap mozzarella some places use. The margarita pizza had fresh basil leaves on it… we also tried the lasagna pizza and it was great as well but the Marg. pizza was my fav. It’s right down the street from several bars, clubs… we went to the Slipper Room’s burlesque show, had some great pizza and then walked over to an awesome retro arcade/bar. Night-o-wins!
