Stopped in here just by accident. My egg sandwich and oatmeal were perfection. The omelette was nicely portioned but could have used a little salt. The desserts look AMAZING! When I asked where they get them from, he said they are made here, in house! Will definitely return for them. The lunch buffet they were setting up looked great too! Give it a chance!

TOURIST TRAP.
If I could give less than one star I would. This place exists only to prey on tourists who don’t know any better and for those of us that work in the attached building when we don’t want to go out in the rain. The food is awful, the prices are outrageously high, and the staff is horrible — it is an absolute embarrassment.

3^rd strike, can’t go back to this place.
1^st major issue: drenched my salad in blue cheese instead of ranch. I settled on blue cheese even though I really dislike it. I just don’t like complaining especially when I have edible food.
2^nd major issue: sold me a chicken cutlet burger with rotten chicken. I really mean rotten, I should’ve called the health inspector. I’d bought the same item several times with no issue so I waited a few weeks and let it slide.
3^rd major issue: just finished eating an order that gave me food poisoning. dealing with that at this very moment.
today, I also saw them viciously overcook a hamburger, then press it firmly against the grill on both sides to squeeze the minimal remaining juice out. If it was my burger I’d have laughed and left.

Sometimes you need to pay more attention to Unilocal reviews rather than places kids want to eat. We were walking around Trinity Church and Wall Street and were hungry.
It is in a great location and the set up and food on display look great. Umfortunately, all of our food was rather bland, not much flavor.
It was about 11am so we had a mix of breakfast and lunch orders, but none were worth the price and nobody finished our portiosn. I had some eggs, potatoes, and toast. They desperately needed seasoning and just not that good.
Perhaps due to neighborhood and lack of choices they do not need to try hard, but I feel bad for those working on Wall Street.

$ 9 for an egg wrap??? And it was horrible. Not even sure it was cooked all the way. Go one store down and get a tasty egg wrap for $ 4.50.

I was roaming the city of New York lost on a rainy Friday afternoon. I tried to make it to the Financial District and to see the World Trade Center and Wall Street. Mission failed. It was just raining so hard and I was getting tired. While lost, I did stumble upon Stir Café.
This is a nice little breakfast/lunch joint to give yourself a chance to relax a little. My only beef with this place was the pungent frying smell. It’s like I think the vents were off. The air was just thick of fried food smoke. It would actually smell decent if the restaurant was aired out enough, but goodness, I think they don’t use their vents.
I just grabbed a bacon egg scramble. Nothing too special. It was just enough to fill me up with some good ol’ breakfast food. They do serve Lavazza coffee, if you’re into that. This place seemed really perfect for a rainy weather. I even got a good view of the busy street corner. Nice place to just watch people going out and about outside.

I happened to be in the area today and lunched here for the very first time. I enjoyed the roast pork with red potatoes and spinach. It was fresh and tasty even having a late lunch at 2:15 pm! Seating in the rear of the restaurant along with a nice salad bar and pasts station. I plan to return when I return to the area.

Terrible burgers. Avoid. I came in here expecting a blue cheese burger and it looked like it was just a dab of mayo on it. Really crappy meat. I recommend they actually start making decent burgers or drop the price.

Got the french toast and a coffee. French toast was good, nothing special, but no complaints. Food came quick too but it was 6:30am and empty. My group had to pay after eating because their card machine was down. Once we went to pay, it was getting a bit busier and the machine was still screwy. Took about 10 min for me to pay, wish I would have had cash to make it easier had a realized how long paying with a card would take. Girl behind the counter wasn’t very helpful either. Kept asking me if I could just pay cash despite me telling her many times I had no cash.

Great little café for a quick eat in the financial district. My egg sandwich was the best I’ve had. They were getting ready for lunch and the salad bar was beautiful and featured a variety of fresh vegetables and salad toppings. Really glad I found this place!

Most places make a nice bacon and egg sandwich for between $ 2 – 4 and generally somewhere inbetween depending on what boro you’re in and how nice the area is. I have yet to come across a $ 5 bacon and egg sandwich but Stir Café has the audacity to charge that much and make one of the worst bacon and egg sandwiches I have ever had. Yes, even worse than the Halal deli guys who can’t give you actual bacon in their sandwich.
The most overpriced bacon and egg sandwich I have ever seen in my life at $ 5, and looking so pitifully imbalanced with what seems like 3 eggs and just 2 measly strips of bacon, you would think that the country had a pork shortage. Stay the hell away.

Just a few buildings away from my job, and I was tired of eating at Pret a Manger (No shade at all, Pret! Just needed some variety!). I got a pasta dish with vegetables. Very quick and tasty, though I think they charged me extra for something I didn’t get. Bummer, but still a good experience. Will eat here again, eventually!

We only came here because of it’s proximity to the bull. The pastry selection was blah, and nothing else really caught my eye. Coffee was just ok. Weird infighting amongst the staff, as if they pick on each other all day long.

Quick wraps and good burgers with fries for a price that leave a hole in your wallet and fill you up.
Considering there are plenty of cafesand salad places, this is my favorite for decent price for serving size. What can I say, I like to eat a lot and pay as little as I can.
Most time, I would find a seat in the back to contemplate not retuning back to office after finishing my burger. Don’t try this alone, kids.

I would recommend avoiding this place. In my quest to find the best burger in FiDi, I stopped by to try their burger. I was extremely disappointed with what I got. The meat was tough, the tomato was yellow and the fries tasted like cardboard. The price is standard for the area and the service was okay. They made my order in the appropriate amount of time and no one was rude. I haven’t had anything else from here and considering the sheer variety of options in the area I won’t be coming back.
To sum up average service, terrible burgers and high prices. Take your money somewhere else.

It was a cold day on saturday and we needed something to keep us warm. We saw this coffee shop and decided to grab some Joe. The Misses had a latte and I had a double expresso. Not sure but 5 bucks for a latte and 4 bucks for a double expresso seems rather expensive… I mean I can head over to the Starbucks and indulge in a better grade of coffee for a lower price too…
The Misses tossed her’s in the garbage, not sure if the milk was sour or if they added something into her drink that they were not suppose to by mistake «I hope «but it was bitter and sour «Maybe bad milk «not sure but it wasn’t good.
My expresso was water downed, really not enjoyable adding sugar actually made it worse. Not sure what happened here but It wasn’t worth what I paid. Actually, I wouldn’t serve what «we» got to the public.

Stop in for sickness and disease!
There was no soap in the men’s room, and it looks like it had been empty for quite a while. I am not eating in a place where the staff doesn’t wash their hands after they use the restroom.
Disgusting.
I had a coffee. Oh, and there were a slew of GreenPeace assholes in the back stealing electricity and harassing people.

Great place. I come here almost everyday to get a breakfast sandwich. The ingredients are always fresh and they make the food fast so you can be on your way.
Both the cooking and seating areas are kept very clean. They also have a diverse selection of breakfast options.

I have to say that the quality of food at the Stir Café has declined over the years. I have been going there for a long time but I do not buy food there any more.
Basically if I do go there it is to get a cup of coffee but that is it.
They used to have a nice selection of hot dishes at lunchtime but that has changed.
Take a look at the grill that they are cooking your breakfast on and that would be enough to say lets go somewhere else.
