I had the opportunity to meet Bill during my recent visit to NYC and he’s fantastic. Hands down. He is very creative and stylish not to mention a great personality to work with. His work is trendy, hip and Bill transforms antiques into gorgeous pieces of art that you’ll love. He will work with you to design the look you dream of for big and small spaces. What’s pretty cool is that you can even bring him a piece of your own furniture/​décor and he will breathe new life into it, making it chic, stylish and ‘you’. If only I can somehow ship all my treasures to him for a revamp (instead of hoarding them in my garage lol).

I saw some pictures of Bill’s red lacquered mirrors and decided to have him make a custom one for me. The mirror turned out really cool – not like anything I’ve seen at a store. If you’re looking for a mirror that makes a statement, this is a great source. He takes antique frames and redoes them in bold, fun colors. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

My boyfriend and I first bought a pair of Bill Scroggie’s mirrors, and while we picked them up at his studio we came to learn that he does interior design as well. We hadn’t planned on hiring a designer (we didn’t have any big project in mind) but it’s been tough making our East Village one-​bedroom really «work» right.
We took Bill up on his three-​hour consult, and couldn’t be happier. We really felt that he was focused on giving us a good value for his time. He helped us to clarify what our priorities were (and helped me to understand what style I really liked, which was challenging since I’m not very design-​minded) and afterwards sent us a helpful roadmap for what we shoud do next.
We decided to hire him for an additional ten hours’ effort – he was helpful in finding some good ideas from various websites and he found the PERFECT lamp at a local consignment store!
Hiring an interior designer is a scary thing (for me) but Bill really is a trustworthy guy. Always responds to emails promptly. We wish him well in his business.
