Below is my previous review, when I gave them one star, but I’m giving them another chance based upon two additional experiences. This morning for breakfast, it was once again the lack of any acknowledgement of my presence or bringing me coffee. Ugh. Still 1 star-worthy. However, tonight(Friday night), I came in for a drink and it was like a different place. The waitress from last night recognized me, had a conversation with me about the private party last night, remembered what I’d ordered last night, and had the bartender take care of me. I’m averaging them out to 3 stars now… :) «Haven’t eaten here and never will. I stayed at the hotel and wanted a drink from the bar. I waited over 25 minutes, then had to flag down a wait person to order a drink. The excuse? „Oh, we’re setting up for a private event…“ I can’t recall the last time I was TOTALLY ignored in a bar or restaurant…»

This place is somewhat of a hit and miss. Sometimes it can deliver beautifully executed food and sometimes it falls short of your expectations. I stay at the hotel often and end up eating here when I’m too lazy to go elsewhere and generally find the food to be of good quality and priced moderately which makes it great value. My four star review constitutes the value for money and quality for food as well as the ambiance that the restaurant offers. The spicy chicken starters are to die for, I absolutely love them and make a point of ordering them at least twice while here. The seafood jamabalya is absolutely awesome here as well and the flavors are very rich without being overwhelming and it definitely rocks my palate. During the summer, this bar/restaurant gets access to a great view of Times Square from their balcony and it can be a great place to spend a few hours having some drinks and just having a great time. If you’re around, especially when the weather is a bit more forgiving, I definitely recommend stopping by and trying it.

Fabulous view and nice décor. Hands down the WORST service I have ever encountered in NYC, which is curious as it isn’t exactly buzzing with activity. I’m not sure it is even worth waiting for the food to arrive… if it ever does. Okay appetizers finally arrive. Here is the verdict: I am served a coffee that is so stale and bitter I have to send it back. This is the third item in my life I have sent back. It was that bad. Lettuce wraps are okay, if uninspired. To our amazement Mac and cheese is some of the best we have ever had. We have been waiting now with our empty app plates in front of us for 35 minutes. As our waitress and runner are seemingly oblivious that we are in the restaurant and won’t even make eye contact, I imagine it will be another half hour until we see the rest of our meal. We have given up on eating our food in the restaurant as we are no longer really hungry and are going to ask to have it packaged to go. Sigh. Great view though… Noshing on the remainder of our now take out order at midnight: the Reuben is very yummy, but of course cold. The onion soup smells great, but will forever remain a mystery.

This restaurant is part of the Novotel hotel so you get a hotel like experience with many tourists lugging the luggage around as soon as you enter. If you are just hanging out in the city and not a guest here this is not the place for you but if you are staying here at the hotel the food is ok reasonably priced and they have delicious looking drinks. The only view really is during the summer outside patio seats and couches galore. Inside there is three or four tables you have to select to get a nice view of the Avenue otherwise the your only vibe. Wait staff on Sunday are pleasant but average in terms of making you feel special. The menu is limited.

Great view and atmosphere to grab a drink or a quick bite. Unfortunately the service was mediocre as was the bar menu. Pretty pricey even for NY and so unmememorable I had to write this review before I forgot the name of the place. Im sure its an incredible spot to watch the ball drop on nye but with all the great options within walking distance thats about it.

5 stars for the view and the burgers! Drinks were a little small for the price but understandable as it is NYC. Novotel itself is gorgeous and had a fantastic view visible from the outside patio and the gigantic glass windows inside.

Supernova is a rooftop-ish bar that overlooks Times Square and where you can go on a summer evening and get a seat without needing a reservation. It is neither crowded, noisy, nor overly expensive($ 8 beers). Let that seemingly impossible combination of awesomeness sink in. I have two caveats to the above. First, it’s technically an outdoor patio bar that’s only a handful of flights above ground level. So it will not be as high as those bars that are atop penthouses. I’ve also only gone on off-peak nights(so never Thursday through Saturday). That being said you can always make a(group-only) reservation. Entering the bar may be tricky — you have to enter Novotel Hotel Times Square, take the elevator to up to «L,» walk through the lobby, and pass through the indoor portion of the bar until you’re outside. But once you’re there you can enjoy the peace of an non-crowded bar and marvel at the beauty of your surroundings. Service is fine, and never pushy if you end up lounging around. This is an excellent place for any event ranging from a work happy hour to a date. My only regret is not finding out about this place until late this past summer.

We held a post convention event here for our non profit, and I think our general opinion was … meh. Drink prices were affordable, and the view was not bad, but also not amazing(it’s not one of the skyscraper lounges). Since we were hosting an event, there was enough people to mingle with, but aside from our group, there weren’t many other patrons. Also, I don’t really remember hearing music, so that was another important aspect of a bar/lounge that was missing. Good choice for holding group events, but not so much for dates and the like.

Supernova is a cool bar/restaurant with a good view from Times Square. The restaurant is casual/upscale, with a nice decoration. The bar is located not so close to the windows, but they have seats outside, so no problem. Although, if you sit at the bar, you’ll enjoy the view of the flow of the guests from the hotel. Anyways, we had a few cocktails that were good, and then we got to our table. Had a Mac’n cheese with lobster for appetizer and a roasted chicken with polenta. It’s not expensive and the service is good.

The restaurant was beautiful and had an amazing view! We ordered expensive cocktails that were great! We also ordered the spicy crispy chicken and the Mac n cheese! So so so so good! The only reason it didn’t deserve 5 stars is because there were kids running around and it was connected to the lobby! I wish it was more private! But we would definitely come back !

Okay, this place was not what I expected. Now, I take part of the blame for misunderstanding the set up. My girlfriend and I came here for our pre dinner cocktails. We always like a spot that is «special». Either because of décor, view or location. We thought this place looked cool as it was overlooking Times Square. Nay! Yes, most of the tables in the restaurant are closer to the windows BUT(and that’s a big but) all the cocktail«lounge» seating is basically in the lobby of a hotel. It’s kind of a cross between a school cafeteria and an airport. Not what we had in mind. But as we were eating nearby on a frigid January night we decided to stay. On the plus side, our server was very pleasant and attentive. And the drinks were very good and reasonable for the location. I had the Dakota(similar to a manhattan) and it was yum! Cost $ 16. We won’t go back, though.

Visiting from Miami, FL. Walking by Time Square we went by the Novotel where we went to the top floor restaurant SuperNova. Ambiance– Beautiful in the inside cool trendy very chill during lunch time. We ate outside which we had an amazing view of Town Square nice and breezy. Food– Was delicious I had the SuperNova burger which great tasting burger along with the fries. Everything was cooked to perfection! My son had the sliders and he destroyed all of them didnt even offer me a bite. Overall all great place to enjoy lunch and I’m sure dinner as well. Great view and the servers were very helpful and the service was quick. If I go back to NY this will be a spot I come back to.

Visiting from Portland, Oregon, I loved the experience going to Supernova. Beautiful rooftop city view while sipping on a Moscow Mule. Drinks are pricey, but it’s all part of the experience. Felt awesome with a DJ and no cover, just sipping drinks on the roof with a view!

Where can you enjoy the Times Square view without having to deal with the tourists? Enter Supernova, a bar/restaurant situated at Novotel at the heart of the crossroads of the world. The ambiance is hip and trendy, the indoor part of the restaurant can hold large groups and can accommodate multiple events. While the terrace is an open air venue with Times Square skyline as your backdrop. We came here to drink after a friend’s birthday dinner and to hang out with a DJ friend who was spinning that night as well. The bar service was fast and efficient, we tried different cocktails. I am looking forward to coming back here to try their brunch deals on weekends.

Came to Supernova for brunch because of the Pulsd deal. Place is modern and looks like it should be fun enough but brunch vibe was bizarre. First of all, there was more staff than patrons and despite there being a ton of empty tables, they gave us a hard time about wanting to sit near the window(they eventually relented after realizing we had a reservation but the place never filled up.) Food was solidly mediocre. A friend and I had goat cheese omelets which could have used a little more goat cheese… or flavor of any kind… Winning dish was the Turkish Eggs but the competition was not fierce. They kept the cocktails coming, which I appreciated. Pretty good Bloody Marys. Bellini was insanely sweet. The main draw of this place is really the view, the novelty of which wears off by about the time the food is served. Nothing wrong with this place but with so much selection in the city, I doubt I’ll ever be back.

Came here for dinner prior to the theatre. The place is beautiful and offers beautiful views in every direction. The outside terrace provides a nice place to have cocktails and enjoy the view down to Times Square watching the hustle and bustle that makes NY… NY always busy and fun to just watch. The place appears to be clean and certainly well decorated and is worth seeing if not for dinner but cocktails. I thought the menu was very limited and the selections to be odd but then that is me I prefer the more traditional fare. I mean really«Gourmet Mac n Cheese» or «Mexican Hotdogs»! Certainly the prices were for the view as the food simply did not ante up to the cost. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and ready to serve you. I would not have dinner here again as I really thought the menu was just too limited and the selections to be odd and just too expensive for what you are getting.

Brunch with a pulsd. Overall experience was five star, food was four star, service was three star, so there you have it. The space is fabulous. The hotel recently underwent an $ 85 million renovation. Terrific views very cool. Drinks were terrific, both bloody and bellini(light on the peach) and straight champage is inlcuded in the deal. Food was really good. We all got the salmon benedict, need to branch out next time. Ordered crispy bacon, well done, and onion rings, nice and crunchy, off deal. All recommended. The brunch also comes with a basket of yummy pastries. Service ended up being good, started off a tad rocky but nothing too bad. Food was timely. Water refilled, etc. We had to wait 15 minutes for our first drinks. We decided that’s when we started our 90 min. By the time we had jollied up our waiter, he was working hard and let us have a bit more than 90 minutes. My favorite part was one doesn’t have to sit at the table the whole time. You can go sit outside on the rooftop and they will serve you there. I recommend this restaurant for brunch! It’s a terrific time with good food, drinks and a great view. Oh, and check out the computer photo thing in the lobby. It takes pictures of you and will email them or post them for you. It’s fun and free.

Came here for an event and the bar was overwhelmed in the earlier hours. The place is really nice and open, very large windows bringing in the Broadway light and air with a nice terrace overlooking Broadway. I didn’t try any food, but may do so next time.
