Sushi Time

So I ordered the 15 $ ramen and when I got it it smelled and tasted like a cows BUTT. I’m in disgust!!!

Quality is decent, though the prices here are absurd. Had a sushi special here, and it consisted of 9 pieces of sushi, many duplicates, nothing exotic (think tuna, salmon, yellowtail), with a yellowtail roll (they didn’t include scallions!) — for $ 28. Reality is that it was probably worth about $ 18. Everything on the dinner menu needs to be lowered in price by about 35%. If prices reasonable, I would have given this place 3 stars — cause it was still just meh.

Lunch special is ok but they don’t give you enough… one roll has 6 small pieces and with a small cup of miso soup it’s $ 15! Probably would not have been my first choice but it was packed in there and I had to see what the fuss was about. My advice… don’t waste your time!

Delivery order of the Bento box tonight. I usually get the Salmon Teriyaki which is very good. Comes with a salmon avocado roll and shrimp shumai. Once upon a time the bento box was more substantial, and it’s been trimmed down significantly, but it’s still a good value.

This place gives out old menus and charges more for there items. When you speak with the manager, she just replies «it was updated on the website», and then hangs up.
Foods ok, but the people that run the place are thieves.

Sushi time is just the corner of my block. I come here when I just want a quick sushi dinner. The staff is very friendly but this place is pretty pricey for the quality of the fish. You will be ok with the sushi but when the bill comes you will wonder why you just didn’t seamless your favorite sushi place.

This is a fairly average Japanese place in midtown east. With so many excellent Japanese places in the area. On the plus side, the service is efficient, delivery is fast and reliable, and the prices are lower than average. At the end, however, none of the positives overcome the fact that the food here is pretty bland.

I ordered the miso soup which you can’t really mess up, followed by tuna, white tuna and the salmon sashimi. While the white tuna and tuna tasted alright the salmon is my bread and butter and was left disappointed, definitely no where near as fresh as others I’ve enjoyed in the area. I also had U.N. Roll, that would have been pretty decent if it wasn’t for all of the mayo that was in the spicy tuna mix. All in all I don’t see myself returning.

STAY AWAY !!! If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD! Food poisoning and horrible costumer service! I had shrimp teriyaki and the shrimps tasted like vomit I had 2 pieces to make sure I’m not dreaming and the second one was even worse, I called the waiters and she called her boss who told me u already ate 2 shrimps so I can’t exchange or waive the cost on this, my girl had drinks and sushi and I ended up paying for food I didn’t eat. SHAME ON YOU ! NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN AND AS A NEW YORKER ILL TEL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO EAT AT THIS SHITTY PLACE ! The owner is cheap and disrespectful ! ITS TIME FOR NEW YORKERS TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS FROM TAKING OUR HARD EARNED MONEY AMD GIVE US CRAP IN RETURN!

Came here for lunch since I was in the area. I walked into the restaurant around 1205 so it was empty except for a couple sitting in the back. I was greeted immediately and seated.
I went with the lunch bento box, which was chicken teriyaki white rice shrimp shumai California roll and miso soup for 15.50. I felt this was overpriced considering that I can get the same thing on the west side for $ 10.
Miso was too salty but I ate it since it was chilly rainy day in nyc when I was here. I asked the waitress not to give me the shrimp shumai and wanted to leave out the fake crab meat in my California roll. The waitress informed me that it was $ 2 for that. I don’t quite understand how that makes sense when I’m asking you not to put in an ingredient smh. The chicken teriyaki was too salty. Wasn’t a fan of the food but the service was good and the food came out quickly.

Probably the worst sushi I’ve every had. Used pickled jalapeños for their jalapeño yellowtail roll… yuck.

Was really craving some good sushi so came here since already in the area. There were people but not that many and I should have known by this sight it wouldn’t be the best sushi but just OK sushi. Everything came out super fast and on time but probaly because they weren’t that busy. For starters I had the miso soup and then the pork gzoya or whatever it’s spelled and they were pretty good but nothing to rave about. Then got the shrimp tempura roll, salmon avocado roll and 1 piece of uni. The uni was surprisingly very good and fresh and was like butter. The rolls were good but just OK good. They weren’t that interesting in taste even though it’s a simple roll i didn’t feel like the salmon was top quality and I hate my shrimp tempura with cucumber in it so spent some time digging it out. That was not memorable either. I also got a taste of thier chicken teriyaki which was good and a big serving.
this probaly won’t be on my top list of choices when craving sushi.

Ok not sure where all the hater reviews are coming from. This place is decent. They do a significant amount of take out and delivery business. There were 4 chefs working this tiny place very efficiently. Service nice, food just decent.

was so happy to find this sushi place within 2 blocks.
Ordered some sort of bento box…
rice smelled like a dirty mop. :(
protein was mediocre, tasted like something you could buy from the japanese supermarket in st. marks… the prepackaged kind.
Meh.
I don’t think I’ll be back there again.

DELIVERY REVIEW:
Overpriced, tiny portions, along with rude delivery service left a really bad impression. Apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks this way, considering the two and half star rating. This place does not deserve your business. STAY AWAY!

That’s what you get when you decide to go out for sushi on Sunday afternoon in midtown where all the decent places are closed, less than mediocre sushi.
My friend ordered bento box and he was quite satisfied with his katsu/​salmon avocado roll/​dumpling combination, I was not that lucky with my rolls.
Presentation was ok. Freshness was lacking,

Worst place EVER!
We decided to give this place a try. So our company order sushi time for lunch. There potions which stated it feed 15. It took them 3 hours to deliver! When they finally arrived it only arrived in one bag! For 15 people this was ridiculous. They didnt even give us utensils or plates or soy sauce and wasabi! When we called to request for condiments they said it was extra charge and was very rude!
Not only that, our whole floor was out with food poisoning!

Ordered delivery for company lunch, portions were mini sized but prices were party sized. Called manager to inquire about size of portions but got yelled at. They also charged us dinner prices when they have lunch specials. They forgot our plates and utensils, and they didn’t even apologize or wanted to send some over. Now, they lost our business.

It’s always time for Sushi! Late nights at work call for Sushi Time because they’re fast, they deliver and they’re fresh!
I had to Eel/​Avocado, Crunchy Spicy Salmon and Tuna/​Avocado rolls…

Yummy = 100%
Satisfaction = Priceless!

Great place for takeout or delivery. We’ve ordered from there a few times. If you’re hungry, go for the specialty rolls. I ordered three of the basic rolls and was still hungry. The tuna jalapeño was really good. They’re quick & fresh so no complaints. Except, next time I’ll go for 4 regular rolls or 3 specialty.
