Ive been working in Lenox Hill Hospital for 14 years. I’ve always passed the shop on my lunch break to grab a bite to eat and thought nothing of her shop until one day I actually was stopped by one of my coworkers to actually look at all of the beautiful items she has on display in the Window when I saw this beautiful diamond heart necklace that caught my eye and I knew right then and there that it would look great on my fiancée so I went inside to find a woman that was very pleasant and so down to earth. Needless to say I bought that necklace with no hesitation whatsoever. Best customer service I’ve had from ANYWHERE in a long time where she was genuinely hospitable and made me one happy individual. I’ll be back soon

I have enjoyed shopping in this store for years, and make a visit to Sylvia’s a part of most of my trips to New York Her jewelry is truly unique and always fairly priced. From the ruby and gold ring I recently purchased to the $ 20 pairs of earrings, I wear her jewelry all the time. Sylvia, herself, is always a delight to speak with. Highly recommended!

Nice shop with large selection of antique accessories like tie tacks and cuff links for men, brooches etc. for women. A whole wall of antique and vintage bead hand bags. Fun for window shopping if nothing else. Employees are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Love, love, love. Sylvia Pines has been in this spot near Lenox Hill hospital ever since I can remember – and longer. She’s an excellent salesperson, has an amazing assortment of vintage jewelry – all winking at you from the store window – and is the sort of person I think of as a friend, even though I don’t know her well at all. I voted«moderate» for her prices, just because she has a full range and will always come down from a price to make a sale. I remember once she had a brooch that said«Marion Davies” – best known as William Randolph Hearst’s girlfriend – in the window. She’s closed Saturdays and Sundays. Go there now!
